The owner was a nice old man however His son is a pompous a$$hole with zero respect for his customers , never explained the full process of how they conduct their business .... I Dropped of an expensive watch for repair, they gave me a ticket then told me they'd call me and tell me what they find out. I called the next day for a follow up the Owner John's Som answered spoke rude and condescending to me when I have know knowledge how his process was because no one explained it to me. I then asked for him to explain how the process works he then said come pick up your watch I don't want to deal with people like you. I don't recommend these people for watch repairs. I am a hairdresser of over 40 years, I have brought my scissors & clipper blades to this place forever. Anyone who is a hairdresser knows you have to have someone really good to sharpen your scissors. I paid $20 for last time I went and as usual they did a great job. They do more than that there it's a tiny little shop but they have old world craftsman there. They can do jewelry repair lamp repair sharpen your knives etc. If you're getting your scissors sharpened from some guy who has a truck try this place. read more

I haven't spent a lot of time actually in there so as far as their customer service and personality I can't comment, but would trust them with any of my equipment. They even have replace a cord I've pulled completely out the back of my osters. read more

I've been a customer for over 10 years, bringing goods here for repair even though I've long since moved out of state. Despite the high prices, I'm a big supporter of small businesses and this place is convenient when in town visiting family. Unfortunately, customer service has taken a turn for the worse. I brought my issue to the owner, who simply said "I've got enough customers." Good for him--now he has two fewer. I paid them 250.00 to repair my cuckoo clock. Six weeks later I got it back and it worked for 55 minutes. Returned it to the store and six weeks later I got it back. Then the chime mechanism malfunctioned, twice. I have had the clock for about two months and it quit running. Clock has spent more time there than here. They are the most expensive repair shop around. read more

I came to this place to buy a 5 in 1 clipper and the older gentleman who is the owner was telling me information that I was 99.9% sure was wrong. But he was adamant about it. So I did my due diligence and cause Wahl Corporation to confirm what I was being told. Well you guessed it I was 100% correct and he was 100% wrong. Not wanting to be a complainer I called their shop back today and started to explain to the woman who is the wife of the gentleman, what I was told and what I found out. I did it in a constructive manner because he shouldn't be travail misinformation to people that come in there. It makes it a better business in a more successful business. I was treated like trash by the wife. She actually hung up on me. And I was being polite! This place needs to close down I don't recommend it to anyone I have no idea what kind of sharpening they do but I would hesitate to do any business with them. Sign me as never ever again. read more

You better hope he fixed your tools correctly because if not and you take it back to have him look at it he will tell you to eff off and get out. Learned this the hard way unfortunately and had to buy myself some new $200 clippers after paying $70 so have him fix it incorrectly. This grumpy old guy needs a retirement home. read more

I don't recommend this place, and will never come back, I brought my trimmer and asked for a blade replace, the employee without giving any explanation took the trimmer to a room in the back and I noticed that they were going to replace it and charge $16, more than a brand new one! Terrible place! Brought a clock in for repairs in mid September. I was told it would be done in two weeks. I finally got it back, only because I went in there to check on it. They could not even find it and were looking all over for it. I mentioned I was disappointed in the wait time and employee was cocky and never apologized, offered any explanation or discount. Complete Rip Off Place I asked for a replacement foil for a Braun Series 7 Razor. It was in a plain white box with a Braun sticker on it.. I questioned If it was a "true"Braun foil, the counter clerk assured me it was "That's the way they are sending them now" he replied When i got home I looked at the original one that came with the razor and it clearly said "Braun Series 7" the one they sold me said "Prosonic". I went back the next day to return it, I never took it out of the box. They told be store credit only. I told them that I was told the it was a true Braun product.. his answer was "well you still bought it anyway". Wow, I can not believe that people in customer service can be so rude and disrespectful until today . Frist time I called this service department was poor, but everyone has one of these days. We need to understand that , or should that be a red flag ! Thirty days latter I called abut the same issue (watch was received, but no one knows where is the watch ) service was bad but I believed in the message received " someone will call you in 1-2 weeks by name Stacy ". Today 11/4/15 four weeks latter I called the same # again and people that I talked to by name " Jo " and " Jim " if that is their right name should never be on the phone - WORTS customer service EVER. They yield at me , yes YIELD not listen and to be honest I am still not sure if they have found my watch. They have had my watch since 8/7/14. That's almost 6 weeks. I sent it in for a repair, per the recommendations of the place of purchase, Macy's. It's a Anne Klein mechanical watch. I have called twice, pre-authorized payment, been told they are waiting for parts and it would only be one more week. That was 2 weeks & 2 calls ago. No one has contacted me AT ALL! I say, go elsewhere for repairs. I will be contacting them again to get my watch returned. I will also be contacting Macy's and places that sell Anne Klein watches to tell them of the terrible service I've experienced and suggest they find some other place to do repairs and service on the watches they sell. read more

I Do NOT recommend this service, I sent a watch to repair in the original box including the manuals, I got back the watch in a ziplock (yes a zip lock bag) and the watch was in worse condition than it was send originally. i was a thirty year customer at this business, over the past five years, there have been changes in attitude at this store. brought in a three month old high quality item for repair. the owner provided a cursory look, flicked a few switches and proclaimed "buy a new one, can't get parts." took the item to McNichols Electric on McNichols in Detroit, man said "call me tomorrow". repair bill $12.95 ready the following day. the problem with the device was a blade inserted upside down....and shaver & time told me to buy a new one....right. forget shaver & time, they aren't what they used to be. as a courtesy i later phoned shaver & time, explained the entire story to the owner, his response was "ok". clearly, this business does not care about or need customers, especially thirty year customers. see you around shaver & time. read more

As a patron of this establishment for over twenty-five years, I am saddened by the deterioration of service and attitude within the last 3-5 years. Yesteryears attitude of "I'm happy to serve you," has been replaced by "be happy I'm serving you." Excuses given for not having a repair done as promised, and on time, range from: "it's hard to get the part," to "I don't have enough help," to "call me in a couple of days," have become the operating norm rather than the exception. When you call to make an inquiry, they hang up on you! I refuse to spend my hard earned dollars at a place that lacks customer appreciation and service! This firm is the authorized service center for Armitron Watches, but when I sent in for a free repair per the limited warranty, they 1) did nothing until I called, 2) told me they could only fix or replace it for $18.95, and 3) claim the like-new watch had bad LCD cells due to "wear and tear" (which isn't covered by warranty). I saw this as a Bait and Switch, where they'd rather sell you a cheap watch for $20 than do the work for Armitron. I filed a complaint against them with the Better Business Bureau, and am working directly with the Armitron company to get my watch fixed. Armitron GOOD, Shaver & Time World BAD. read more

On May 10, 2017, I went to Shaver World & Time, in Redford, Michigan to have my shaver adjusted. I explained to an OLDER man who worked there, that i had been there two weeks ago with my hair clippers to have them serviced because they were dull. I told him i needed them serviced again because the blades I LATER REPLACED them with were pinching me when i shaved. The older man took my clippers to look at them. I waited for him to return to let me know what the problem with clippers were and what the cost would be to resolve the problem. After waiting about 5 minutes, a YOUNGER man returned with a BAD ATTITUDE!!! He was screaming at me!!! He told me I WAS FULL OF S&!£ ....and to GET OUT OF HIS SHOP AND NEVER COME BACK THERE AGAIN!!!!! He accused me of lying about bringing the clippers to their shop for repair. I told him i just wanted the clippers adjusted and that i didn't appreciate his yelling at me and using profanity and that he was being very disrespectful!!! He continued screaming at me again to GET OUT NOW AND NEVER COME BACK AND HE DOESN'T WANT MY MONEY!!!! He said he was GOING TO CALL THE POLICE!!! I told him to go right ahead and call the police because i had done nothing wrong!!! He then told me I was DUMB AND STUPID!!!! I left his shop feeling TRAUMATIZED, EMBARRASSED, HUMILITATED and FRUSTRATED. NO MERCHANT has the right to disrespect ANY customer in such a manner regardless of the circumstances!!!!!
