Passing through the area for work. This rating is for my experience…read more My food was very tasty at a great portion and price and my waitress Leann? was an angel. I'm giving a low score due to the fact that I feel this establishment is heavily discriminatory of people of color. When speaking to locals I had met. They all agreed. I was passing through Kelowna on a work trip and this location and golf course was near my hotel. So I decided to walk over as I was excited since I frequent driving ranges and courses. When I walked in the door, immediately I was stared at like I didn't belong there. Of course 95% of wait/hostess staff were white/white passing. I asked to sit on the patio because there was a great view. There were multiple 2 and 4 tops available. I was sat at a huge table at the very back away from the view as not to be intermixed with all the white diners that were all seated forward towards the view. I was there drinking and dining for almost 2 hours and none of those tables had diners. So the excuse that they were "reserved" isn't valid. I was gawked at by wait staff and just stared at. It was not a great feeling. When I spoke to friends and other locals of the area. They all confirmed that's exactly what was happening as they had heard the same from other people. If you're a person of color STAY AWAY. This was absolutely the most uncomfortable I felt within the entire western half of Canada. As I've gone through A LOT of cities and Provinces. I didn't event get a chance to do the driving range on the property because I was so uncomfortable with it all. I would've preferred to be turned away versus sitting there being treated this way. Locals then recommended multiple other options where I may be more accepted. Again food was tasty but seeing myself and the only other table of color being tucked away out of site truly left a horrible taste in my mouth.

BEST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!…read more Tiana was an amazing server, she explained all of the dishes in depth and seemed genuinely excited about everything. Service 10/10 We got 8 different dishes to show amongst 5 of us. The ribs were phenomenal, so were the pot stickers, dumplings and fried rice. Everything was to die for. My family was raving about this meal and we all agreed it was the best we've all ever had. The tiramisu was amazing. We sat outside and the patio was beautiful. The music was amazing; which is rare. I would recommend this restaurant to everybody who comes to Penticton.

Their interpretation of ceviche was beautiful, they offer it with a Thai twist, coconut milk and basil. The drinks were great. Our server Maria was phenomenal, classy and professional. We also ordered the Asian Greens which we also highly recommend. We also tried the soy chicken, which was prepared sous vide style, and made for a very interesting and creative dish. The other main we tried was the ginger scallion crab, which was Italian inspired but with Asian ingredients, such as black bean paste, a lovely dish. The portions were huge, so consider sharing. The tiramisu was also very. We highly recommend this spot and will return when back in town.

It's a fairly small space, most of which centers around the bar, which suits us to a tee. The service was really great, the vibe what we had hoped for, and the food was fantastic. The cocktail selection is varied and fun, if maybe a little pricey. The Pork Mushroom pate with the Crostini was amazing, and something we will try and replicate at home for sure. We also got the blackened Shishito peppers with a verde mayo and lime. We'd not had those peppers before, and they were delicious. The Pumpkin seed pesto Spaetzle and the elk steak went well together as well. Not our first spaetzle as we make it at home quite a bit, but our first exposure to elk, and it was excellent. There are so many choices in downtown, and many new, so it's a battlefield for diners. We'll be back to micro, and suggest you check it out too!
