She wasn't pushy at all and didn't upsell me anything - just gave me all the tips and info. We decided on a tandem snowmobile for an hour with a guide. We arrived 20 minutes late but she was so professional - she shortened and made the check in process so easy. There was a cabin with fire where you can change since Deer Mountain was quite cold and was snowing that day desolate the snow drought. She was mega attentive and taught us everything and told us exactly where we were going. She took couple of pictures for us and explained what we'll see had it not been so foggy. On the way back when we stopped at a viewpoint my boyfriend accidentally accelerated and we toppled right where the cliff started - Michele rushed over and helped us up and we genuinely concerned for our well being. I came across The Reel Thing July 27, 2016. My cousin and I had just pulled the boat up into the shade so we could start prepping it for the week ahead of fishing. Shortly after we began our setup a gentleman came down the hill in a golf cart. He circled around the boat and asked, "Are you guys going to be here long?" We replied with a friendly no. The next thing you know this gentleman introduced himself as Bob and began telling us about the fish. Bob gave my cousin and I so much detailed information our brains almost exploded. Bob then let it be known he is a guide on Shasta and has many years on Shasta and other lakes. Bob's friendly demeanor and willingness to provide so much information to non paying people was so amazing. He was not trying to sell us a guided trip. He didn't tell us to get off his lake. DON'T RENT A SKI BOAT FROM THIS PLACE…read more Had a great northern california trip with the exception of the substandard, subpar, partially operating boat and equipment they rented us. The boat couldn't even pull a skiier out of the water, our skiier got injured as a direct result of the "ski" boat (it's not a ski boat, it's a pleasure boat) and skis so old, out of date and damaged (rubber boots ripped) it ruined the day. They also charge more than Shasta. The trim tabs in the cockpit don't operate, you have to do it manually by pressing a button on the engine, and that's only to trim up, you can't trim down. This was an absolute joke, who is going to hang their head over the stern of a speeding boat, reach down near the prop and trim it while you're operating? Their legal exposure is pretty high from our experience. 300 hp Ski Nautique beautiful boat we rented in Shasta: 390 for the whole day. Comes with skis. This garbage place run by teenagers who don't know anything about boats, equipment, or even how to issue a refund to a credit card: we paid $500 for a half day (tax, gas, tube rental, ski rental) The only high point was Rich.. seems like a nice guy, but that hardly compensates for an injury and

The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful while we were there. When we went to dock they were very rushed and unhelpful with us unloading. My wife had to tell them to back off because they almost knocked my 3yr old daughter into the lake. I also witnessed the cashier intentionally hanging up on people calling the marina rather than answering the phone. Now I know what had happened to me weeks earlier when the phone would ring then hang up before it would go to voicemail. The one good thing was the boat we rented was new and clean.

My 13 family members had a great time. The crew at HH are very good people and very helpful. The natural waterslide and tubing was a highlight of the trip (according to the kids). Wear good water shoes if you visit the waterslide as you have to hike a bit to get there. I have rented houseboats at other marinas on Shata before. Holiday Harbor had more flexible rental schedule (any day out and any day in) than other marinas. The orientation was excellent, office & dock people were great. We brought a propane firepit for s'mores on the shore each night, we brought folding chairs to have on the shore for quiet time with a book and the firepit. The lake was down 53' which for Shasta is nothing as it is so big and deep. It is actually better (IMHO) to have the lake down a bit so you can park the boat on land and use other boats (that use less fuel) for traveling the lake. The family wants to go back soon and that is the best recommendation.

First, they wouldn't sell me a $5 parking pass unless I knew someone who rented a boat, so luckily the last name I used "Hanson" worked. They asked "Scott Hanson?" and I'm like, yeah, sure. Second, parking was full (as one might expect on the Saturday before Memorial Day at 4pm), so we had to park in an overflow lot. This meant getting an escort to the lot and a shuttle back to the harbor AND it meant having to estimate a specific time to come back, which is hard when you're depending on a bunch of party boat people for the ride back (I'm looking at you, Scott Hanson. Still, though I had to go through some hassles, the three guys who helped us, including Joe and Hamilton (who are just Frank and Reynolds shy a yacht rock band) were super friendly and helpful.

There is also the Mosquito Serenade during the summer; which has different live music everywhere & it's FREE! A dog park is available as well! 2 different areas. 1 for big dogs, 1 for little dogs! Little doggy pools available + and agility course! They also provide poop bags! Tennis courts also! There is a plethora of activities at this park! Including beautiful river walking trails!
