Great service, quick turnaround, super friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are reasonable as well.

I took a few culinary knives to Steve. The 30 min drive was well worth it.

Great guy and great service! We enjoyed watching him sharpen knives right there while we waited.

Another master class by Jamie Aquino! I've been eyeing her Farm to Table class for a couple years…read moreand finally had the chance to attend with my dad. This class is great because you also get a trip to the Kendall Yards Farmers Market where Jamie breaks down what's in season and an ideas for how to use various ingredients. You shop along with her as she picks out the main ingredients for the class and have time to shop yourself before getting started with the actual class back at the Kitchen Engine. Her classes and dishes are vegetarian and plant-based so you leave with nutritious and delicious recipes. My only disclaimer is that this class (and really any class) will be challenging for those with mobility issues. The walking involved at the market with this class and the bar stool seating for the 3-hr class was difficult for my father, who has mobility issues. That said, he has a blast. Just a callout so you know what to expect.

Kitchen Engine I love you! I'd just arrived in Spokane and was wandering aimlessly with my man when…read morewe wandered into the old flour mill building. Lo and behold, there was one of the best kitchen gadget ships I've ever experienced combined with a cafe combined with a cooking school. This place is seriously the best of three worlds. I was able to buy some loose leaf tea for my daughter, the cortado was DELICIOUS, and they had some very specialized kitchen tools o haven't seen anywhere else (pizza scissors that double as servers!) if you're a foodie, a chef, or just someone who likes good espresso, this is the place to stop in. Plus, my honey forgot his water bottle when we ordered coffee and the baristas were so kind to have set it aside for us when we later returned. LOVE this place.

I was told by a roofer friend to get a specific roofing screw here, he said just go in with what…read moreyou want on paper because they don't know their products. I called to verify they are in stock before driving 2 hours each way. I Immediately asked for someone who knows their roofing screws. A man who doesn't know them insisted on helping. After several minutes of being told they don't make what I want, I was then told they don't even carry roofing screws. They do. I decided to buy for my house and shops from somewhere else. He became rude and refused to give me anyone else. Make your own choice. My roofer friend was certainly correct. Please train your employees on the products and at a bare minimum be polite and willing to transfer a phone call and be willing to verify stock to save someone 4 hours of driving. This was obviously a case of being too lazy just to go check what you actually have. That is terrible service especially when I tell them I'm driving two hours each way and I don't want to come home empty-handed just to have to make the drive again.

Unless you are there for the repair shop technicians, don't waste your time coming to this joke of…read morean establishment. Half of the "salespeople" are clueless, and the other half are just plain horrible. Mike, the manager is rude, egotistical and will treat you like garbage unless you are spending enough money. I have watched him belittle his staff and other customers on more than one occasion. I can't believe that this company would allow such a terrible person to represent them. Larry is the only good employee outside of the repair shop techs. He is kind and helpful and if you find yourself shopping there, make sure you request his assistance. The repair shop desk person is also a terrible employee. He is very rude and aggressive. Their cashiers are horrible and rude. The short, older woman always seems bothered to do her job and the blonde lady is just downright awful. They had a younger, dark haired cashier a few months ago who was very friendly and pleasant, but now even checking out is a horrible experience too. Their selection is mid, and their prices make it almost impossible to support them as a small business. I will not be shopping there ever again. Please do yourself a favor and take your business literally ANYWHERE else.
