For the record, I want to state that Dr. Caruso is friendly, knowledgeable, and seems to care for…read morehis patients. I never encountered any rudeness or unprofessional behavior from either Dr. Caruso or any of his staff. However, all of these positive things are completely undone by the sudden and complete lack of communication from his office. My first nine months dealing with Dr. Caruso's practice were just fine- lab tests were requested on time, appointments were completed on schedule, and I was able to communicate with the office via text message, which is their preferred means of engaging with their patients (voicemails can be left also). After my last appointment in February 2022, however, I found that my prescriptions had been mistakenly changed to double doses for everything (my pharmacist caught the error). I tried reaching out to the office to have them resubmitted, and was informed that the doctor was out of town until the end of the month. This wasn't an issue, since I had sufficient medication left, so I waited until one day after the doctor was scheduled to return, and called the office again. This is when everything went off the rails. I left a text message explaining my situation, and never heard back from the office. I tried leaving another one several days later, and again received no response (no updated prescriptions were submitted to the pharmacy, either). At this point, I left two voicemails over the course of the next three weeks. In the meantime, I had to contact my primary care physician to take care of my medications. Now, after almost three months of complete non-communication from the office, I left a final text message to cancel my upcoming appointment, along with all future appointments. This was obviously not done, as I just received an automated reminder for that appointment (which I cancelled through the appointment itself). I'm lucky in that I have been able to manage my diabetes quite well with oral medications and diet, but some people are not that fortunate. I can't imagine what it would be like to be more reliant on a physicians' office, only to have requests and calls go unanswered. I cannot recommend this office to anyone and, if you are looking for an endocrinologist in the Reno/Sparks area, I strongly suggest you look elsewhere.

Terrible endocrinologist!!! He left me without insulin and…read morerefused to pay attention to my lab work that for years proved to be undiagnosed Graves disease!!! He's negligent, ignorant, lazy and a gaslighter towards sick patients that need proper medical care. He himself is a diabetic and still chooses to take your money and refuses to do the most basic things as an endocrinologist! If you don't agree with him he likes to point at his head and tell patients that they should get their heads looked at meaning mental health!! Daniel Caruso, you are a horrible human being and God only knows how many people you've killed with your negligence and malpractice! I went 10 years without proper care, without proper diagnosis and went without Graves disease treatment for an entire decade because you chose to ignore the simple tests that the kind doctors at urgent care we're able to detect!!! My blood sugar problems, weight fluctuations, thyroid eye disease, heart problems that caused anxiety we're all related to my undiagnosis not what I was doing or eating! I kept myself alive the entire time I was experiencing these awful symptoms that almost took my life a few times WITHOUT your help only your hindrance! You are a silent killer that deserves to get the treatment you give to patients the day you should need it for your diabetes!

I kept being told that he was fully booked and I would get "squeezed in" for consultation.. After seeing him a couple of months I kept being treated like a "squeezed in" patient which made me feel uncomfortable at best. My health kept declining and I went ahead with the radioiodine treatment for my Graves Disease. Dr. Kuhadiya started seeing me by teledoc only and became less and less informative with what I had to do to prepare for the radioiodine treatment. He failed to mention I needed to set up a special appointment for important labs and tests, he failed to mention I had to do the lid diet to help the radioiodine work and he stopped answering all my questions and stopped seeing me period! I had the radioiodine treatment over a month and a half ago and I still haven't had a single appointment in person or on line nor have I started medication for my thyroid!! Had I known I would be left to do this on my own without any help or information that could guide me through this extremely difficult illness and procedure, I would have gone to California to seek proper help with doctors who are more experienced and prepared to help someone like me. I'm getting sicker and sicker, I can barely move, my muscles are extremely sore, I get nauseated all the time, my sugars are constantly through the roof among other things! I already went through the abuses of many doctors in this small crappy town who can't treat, manage nor detect and resolve issues they specialize in and now I'm left on my own with no help. I don't know why it's so difficult to help people like me that have the insurance and can pay for whatever treatment is necessary, can clear payments and show up on time and still not get proper care! I'm not asking for anyone to care but I am asking for individuals in the health care industry to do their damn jobs!!!!! Thanks for nothing! Because of people like you I advocate against donating organs because if people like me can't get proper care that has the potential to shorten my life, then I refuse to donate my organs in exchange for the horrible neglect I've received. I can't plan for special occasions, I can't plan a vacation, I can't even anticipate ahead of time whether or not I can attend my only daughter's graduation because of my health! I would love to take her to a concert, hell I would love to be able to just take her to the mall! I know I showed up to your office just a few months ago, but according to my projections on how I've been treated before, I know there is nothing anyone is willing to do for me here especially if I can't even secure an appointment! I say it again, thanks for nothing and I will never stop advocating against donating organs especially us people of color who get ignored!
