I went here on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 11:30 AM for their grand opening ribbon cutting…read moreceremony, even though they had been open for three weeks already. They closed to office to patients from about 11 AM to 1 PM to allow for this.
I was so ecstatic about my experience today. The chamber of commerce employees here were talking how they just broke ground on this building last October. They said once the framing goes up, the rest is completed really fast.
There were actually two ribbon cuttings: one outside by the main sign on Medical Parkway, and a second, smaller one, at the front doors to the building. There were were so may dignitaries here, like the Chamber of Commerce president and the mayor of Carson City. The chamber president brought the medium-sized grand-opening scissors, which were about 18" long. She said she had a larger size back at the office. There also representatives here from CarsonNow.org, Well Fargo (the bank that financed the new building), and the marketing team for the medical office. The chamber president gave instructions to the head and founder of the medical office, Dr. Paul D. Manoukian, MD, MPH, on how to use the scissors. He joked: "you don't think I know how to work scissors?!". The video for this is here (excuse my typo in the caption, which Yelp won't let me correct):

Dr. Manoukian was born and raised in Nevada and has always wanted to give back to the community. You can tell he takes pride in his medical office and works hard to ensure its success.
Then after the ribbon cuttings, Dr. Manoukian, gave a tour of the offices. He showed us the rooms with all the instruments and explained how these rooms had no sinks to prevent the spread of germs, He also showed us an exam room, the new mini CT machine, the offices, the break room, the billing office, etc. There was also a pediatric waiting room in the corner, as well as a separate Hearing Aid Center off the main office, but run by Sierra Nevada as well.
The festivities concluded with the reception, which was catered by Carson City's own LA Bakery (although one of the office employees bought the drinks the night before at Walmart). There were:
grilled chicken
beef slices
cold vegetable medley salad with broccoli, peppers, carrots, grilled onions, and zucchini
fruit and nut salad with spinach, feta cheese, cherry tomatoes, Mandarin oranges, walnuts, and cranberries
garden salad
rolls
a fruit spread with grapes, orange wedges, cantaloupe, kiwi slices, and strawberries
cookies.
Dressings included a choice of ranch or balsamic. I highly recommend LA Bakery, as the food was perfect and savory.
We sat in the rear outside seating area, and the weather was perfect. The chamber of commerce president took the first plate as part of the ceremonies, while some other person knocked the cup of plastic knives to the ground.
I got to meet the Dr. Manoukian at the reception, and he was was very cordial.
At my table, everyone said how glad they were these festivities were in the daytime, since most had after-school activities to go to as parents.
At the end, I went back to the offices to go into the Hearing aid Center to ask questions since I wasn't able to ask them before, due to guests talking to the receptionist there.
