Our dinner choices were relatively straightforward, but the food was outstanding. We started with a nice side Caesar salad with fresh Romain lettuce, fresh croutons, shaved Parmesan and a perfect amount to dressing. My entree was the Fried Shrimp platter. The shrimp were absolutely fresh, huge and butterflied perfectly. A light but tasty breading with a side of spicy cocktail sauce made it even better. French fries and glazed sliced carrots made for perfect sides. My dining partner opted for fresh grilled salmon, perfectly seasoned and done to perfection. Fresh broccoli and risotto were just the right compliments. Dessert was an in-house prepared chocolate gnash mousse - dense, rich and velvety, and served as the perfect was to finish the meal. Finally, the service was excellent. And we had a chance to chat with owner Mark Cross, who has presided over this establishment for 23 years.
