She even rescheduled my initial appointment when I needed to cancel (with notice). I showed up to my appointment 10 minutes early which gave us more time for the consultation. Once the appointment started, she told me she hasn't taken new clients in over a year because the wait for her existing clients became too long. I asked, "so how did I get here?" She said she didn't know and that maybe I just emailed her at the right time. When I left my appointment with frizzy hair (I guess she doesn't flat iron hair or normally work with curly hair) she told me I could reschedule a new appointment next season or next year, it's up to me... I'm sure she is far more friendly and helpful with her existing clientele. I'm also sure I won't be returning but that is probably alright with Amy.

The cut and the coloring gets compliments wherever I go. I attend school in WV and I get compliments and ladies asking where I go to get my hair cut and colored. I was so unhappy with my hair, and When I left Rania, I left feeling super happy and confident. She was able to give me the exact hair color I wanted. Victoria, Rania's assistant is so sweet and so gentle. Every time she washes my hair, I pretty much almost always start falling asleep. Some people will was your hair and mess up your makeup, but she's so careful and so professional. She's such a hard worker as well. Rania left a lasting impression on me, and I will only go to her now. She knows how to manage my crazy hair and leave me looking and feeling cute. I went to her a second time for a Brazilian Blowout, and my hair is so revitalized and soft. It lays flat after I wash it and it's so manageable. Totally worth getting! On two separate occasions, I drove from Arlington to Gaithersburg for scheduled appointments, only to arrive and be told that Diane, the tech I was booked with, was not in that day. No call. No text. No heads-up. The first time, management said they didn't have my phone number, and the second time, I specifically gave it, but still wasn't contacted. I continued coming back because this was clearly a management issue, not Diane's. To avoid further problems, I began confirming appointments directly with Diane. That's when things became even more troubling. During a visit, I was asked to take down a negative Yelp review, which I explained I had never left. Later, when I called to make an appointment, the man at the front desk said Diane "refused to do my nails" and that I needed to contact her directly. Diane told me she never refused and had no idea why that was said. When I called back, the man was rude, dismissive, and hung up on me, instructing me not to book through the salon again. I asked Diane to clarify this with management, but she said it was about a negative review I supposedly posted--something I had never done. She even mentioned the review listed another person's name and photo, which she had told management, yet the issue kept coming up. After I requested she follow up with the man, she stopped responding entirely. At no point was I rude or unreasonable. I simply expected basic professionalism, communication, honesty, and respect. Instead, I was blamed for something I didn't do, misrepresented, and dismissed repeatedly. This experience was about far more than nails, it was about how easily a loyal customer can be treated with disrespect.

I visited this salon in July 2021, to get an all over maroon/red color. For reference, I had dark brown/reddish hair. I had sent the stylist photos of my hair (color/length) & the desired result prior to the service. When I got to the appointment I STRESSED how important the quality/integrity of my hair was, and how I have had a bad experience with bleach in the past. She assured me she understood and that I wouldnt have any issues because I wasn't going lighter. Here's where things got bad... she insisted I lift my existing color because I had "box dyed" hair which was inconsistent- again I mentioned I do not want to damage my hair, and she again assured me this is a "Clay lifting treatment" that will not damage my hair. 6 hours & over $500 later, I had a great color and treatment- or so I thought because I could not tell what she had done on a full blow out. When I washed my hair at home, I realized my hair was terribly stringy, and when I combed it out I saw that an ENTIRE CHUNK of my hair was missing on my front left (so bad that I had to get bangs to try and hide the missing hair). I went back and gave them a chance to fix the terrible mistake- she offered me a quick conditioning treatment, but ALSO had the audacity to tell me she had noticed I was missing a chunk of hair when I had came into the appointment! So not only did she FRY my hair, she then lied about it and said it was existing?!?! Why didnt she mention anything at the service? Honestly... i do not know what they could possibly do to make this right, short of refunding me for the service- I just want to warn anyone else who is thinking of making the same mistake I did. The worse part is I had a great time at the salon with the stylist, and I thought we had created a good relationship. If this was all to charge me more- I am heartbroken because it will take years to fix this damage. I thought I was going to a reputable salon which is why I walked out paying over $500 dollars. Save yourself the heart break and do not go here! oh and i literally had it redyed a month later cause the color isnt even what I requested.... -_-
