I used this firm by default when we moved here 4 years ago just to take care of our routine service. Always pleased with their responsiveness, timeliness, etc. for theses services. I think there was even one time we needed some immediate/emergency service and they were very responsive. Our system totally crapped out (i.e. needed to be replaced) late last week, and Sharkey was totally responsive. We had Sharkeys install a new Trane system in our home two years ago, we chose the unit as an upgraded system for better performance and warranty. Low and behold the system went down due to leaky evaporator coil, called Sharkeys, tech came out and said it's leaking and will have to be replaced charged $109 for that tidbit of info. Well warranty replacement, no charge for the part but an additional $616 in labor all total $725 to Sharkeys, oh yeah THEY SOLD ME THE SYSTEM! I ask the friendly tech Brian as to his opinion, of which he says it's sad and yeah man, but he gives "I see this happen all the time.......". But I will tell you , who loves this is Kevin Sharkey, owner and lead rip off master for the company. He will sell you the system and when it fails he will rape you for $750, that is over 12%of the original purchase price in two years , always make sure you send the friendly, thick skinned tech to fend off objections like water off a duck's back and never have to talk to the customer your screwing . By the way the whole process took just over three hours for both visits. I will never use Sharkeys again read more

I had the ac contractor who has been maintaining my ac unit out for a service call when my ac stopped working. They said it was a bad coil and I needed a new unit . I paid them for the service call. Then they sent out a salesman to quote a néw unit. Then I called sharkey air to quote a néw unit after telling sharkei exactly what I needed. when they gave me their quote and they were not competitive I went with the other company. Now they are trying to send me a bill and threatening to take me to small claims court. I would never recommend them. read more

We are so pleased with Sharkey Air. We had an older a/c unit and called for routine maintenance. Jay serviced our unit and checked our ductwork. He explained the issues with the air handler but did not pressure us to purchase a new unit. However, we decided to get a new a/c unit installed. 2 days prior to installation, our current unit quit. Jay came out (on a Sunday) within 30 minutes and got us up and running on a very hot and humid day. They installed our new unit, did not charge us for the emergency call and repair AND deducted the original maintenance cost from our bill! We will always use Sharkey Air and recommend them 100 percent! read more

I wish I could give 10 stars. Called this morning with a leak in the A/C in our condo. The condo is our 2nd home and my son is visiting this week and leaving today. Called Sharkey's and they understood the dilemma and came out quickly and fixed the problem without interfering with my son's travel plans. You all rock!! I wrote a review a few weeks ago and have received several unkind responses I presume from friends of Sharkeys. If you think the review is wrong or that they took great care of me then the people writing the comments are wrong. Their diagnosis was wrong since 2 other well known AC companies looked at it too. The review was written about my personal experience and if you choose to ignore it or don't believe what Im writing thats fine. My experience did happen. Another add on is they told me I needed the AC ducts cleaned and told me it would cost 42 dollars a duct which is 500-700 dollars in total. Stanley Steamer cleaned the whole duct system for 175 dollars. read more

just replaced old ac system with new trane xr17 inside and outside. i took several bids, but went with kevin sharkey as he has been an excellent service provider for 6 years and went out of his way (personally) on the one occasion when i needed help big time and quickly (new compressor on a hot summer day). just extremely friendly and pleasant people from the boss, kevin, to the office staff (shout out to sonia), to the installation crew---kelvin and ryan. extremely professional all around, but family-friendly to deal with. kevin and daughter kate are tops----they don't get any better! read more
