We became Billfish through a series of company changes and honestly, laziness on my part. It's a never ending cycle of bad service, constant system breakdowns and what feels like a total scam. A few weeks after every service visit, something breaks. Every time. It's thousands and thousands of dollars to get it fixed. I mentioned this to them and they became aggressively defensive. They're quick to answer, quick to charge my credit card but very slow to repair. I should have been checking their reviews. It sounds like this isn't uncommon. I'm on day 4 of no AC waiting for a $1500 compressor that's under warrantee. I'll be finding a different company now. read more

Called Billfish to inquiry on yearly maintenance. My unit is a year old and due for maintenance. Their price was reasonable and the appointment was timely. Xavian ( Billfish Tech) was excellent! Courteous, knowledgeable and identified some issues that were the responsibility of the original installers. Definitely a great choice. read more

Scheduled a maintenance service plan with them and took over a month and a half to be able to schedule my service. My AC went out a week before my appointment and they wanted to charge me to come out after they had charged me a month and a half prior to a service that hadn't yet been completed. I asked them to cancel my appointment and they waited three days to cancel and let me know at 4:54pm before a long holiday weekend. Now I have to wait out the long weekend to contact another company to schedule service. Petty move and very unprofessional. Don't use them. read more

Zero Stars if they had them for Yelp reviews. Second time I caught Jasons henchmen trying to screw me out of my hard earned money. First time they begged me to take down my bad review, and said it was just a mistake. Now second time- twice they've tried to overcharge me for service! . . First time the tech came to my commercial location, needed the air handler looked at, was making noise. Was told the bearings in the handler needed to be rebuilt at $2800 cost for parts and labor. I ended up putting a new belt on it, readjusting the handlers position, and for $20 I was done and it worked great. . . Second time- I was on service contract, tech came out and said we needed a new coil, that it was leaking- warranty would cover the part, but that the labor would be $2000(!!!) to install it with freon. I just had it done for $500, that's a savings of $1500 over Billfish. . . I inherited these thieves when they bought out Air Xperts, Inc. which was a nice and fair guy by the name of Steve- who charged me a great price for a 5 ton on my house in Palm City, and I sent him a total of $60K in both residential and commercial work over next few months following my install. I now have to go back and tell anyone that I gave Steve work access to and warn them about how shady Billfish is. . . I feel horrible that I let Jason talk me out of the bad reviews on Google, FB, and Yelp the last time, I basically enabled his guys to go out and screw more people. Please take this as a warning, and avoid this nightmare of a company. My guess, is that the techs get a commission on overcharging clients. None of his pricing makes any sense when you shop around. $100 per pound for freon when you can find companies that sell it for $50? And the guy quoting me 4 times higher for the labor to install a coil? Shop around folks, and avoid getting hammered by Billfish AC. read more

It took a long time to find a reliable, honest AC Company! Now that I have, I'm never switching! Billfish was the first company to answer timely on a weekend and have a service tech out to my home within less than two hours of me requesting service. They are a family run company, which makes me feel better about spending money with them. They gave me honest estimates and were completely transparent with me the entire time. Tim not only took the time required to answer all my qustions but took photos of future maintenence issues that needed to be addressed. Hired this company when we moved in a year ago. Have a contract for maintenance which never got done. We had a big leak into our garage from the air conditioning. They couldn't send us anyone to address this problem. I had to pay another company who said the unit should have been tuned up and cleaned . Recently Billfish came out for a free evaluation of our ducts. Never got an estimate. I called asking for estimate " we already sent it to you" is the answer I got . Had to ask for it to be sent to me. I also asked when the cleaning ,ltune up of my air conditioner was going to be done. I was told we" Dont do clean out of ducts" At this point I am loosing it! This woman just didnt get it. Wasnt listening to what I was asking her. I told her we have a contract that we paid for to have air conditioner tune ups that has never been done in the past year." We don't do that" is what she tells me! Now I am really pissed. I have paid for a service they don't do! This place is a rip off!!!! read more

I would give minus 1 star if possible. After a year of reoccurring issues caused since they installed a new unit I now have water damage to ceiling and walls that did not exist in my 30 years of owning my home. They not only did not resolve the issues but did not do all the things agreed to for the initial installation. They had to reinstall the handler because their first installers, who were fowl mouthed, rude and made bad comments about other employees, did a very poor job and it would not pass inspection. Flooding started within weeks of installation. First it was a pipe to the drip pan they said "was not connected properly by installers. Infra-red stopped working within a few days and they said it was due to loose wires, also installation error. It took the a few months to come out and fix the handler so it would "pass inspection". If it were not a virtual inspection iit WOULD not have passed. The handler was hanging by a thread and very dangerous. It was not balanced so that caused the water in the pan to flow down and onto my ceiling. This is documented by another very reliable A/C company. Billfish charged me $500.00+ to put a band aid in the continuing problem, charged me for a service contract that they failed to mention an additional clause they added in which they would continue to charge me for the same issue never resolved. Do Not use this company. I could have had extensive damage to my home from the handler dropping in my attic which any vibration, such as a strong wind gust from a big storm could cause. read more

We called Billfish for a service appointment. They came out and serviced it. A week later it stopped working. They were called and came out soon-ish and found out the refrigerant was leaking. They replaced it and are keeping an eye on it. They were very fair in saying that they should've caught it earlier when they serviced it and were extremely professional throughout the entire 'episode'. Overall, a very well run company; courteous and knowledgeable. read more

We had a great experience with Billfish AC. Our AC went out after hours, (of course) and they were one of a handful of companies that have 24 hour service. That's a huge plus. Daniel came out, found the problem and due to the fact that a part had to be ordered, the job was finished the next day. We were also very pleased with the cost of the repair as it was very reasonable. We will definitely use them again and we will ask for Daniel. Give them a try! read more
