When my daughter was a little over a month old we realized she had a lip tie that needed to be revised. I had posted in a local mom's Facebook page about what was happening and got a couple referrals to go to Shark Tooth in Exeter. I called on 2/6/25 and had an appointment by 2/11/25. The staffing was kind and supportive as I was a nervous wreck. The dentist explained the procedure and was very gentle with my newborn. He revised the lip tie quickly and efficiently. I am forever grateful for Shark Tooth. After the lip tie revision my daughter was eating better, gaining weight more efficiently and was not as gassy and upset. read more

My child was scheduled to go under anesthesia for dental work, our appointment was at 11:30am and still over 2 hours later still have not seen the doctor. Mind you for anesthesia they ask you don't eat nor drink anything from midnight on. My child hasn't had anything in 12+ hrs and they have my child laying down watching movies. They should not be scheduling appointments so early if they don't plan on working on them anytime soon! The staff said they were running behind and asked us to sit in our car, like what they office had no one in it. After this appointment we will be switching to a different office . They really need to add a negative star review on yelp for places like these. My wife came home crying about the mistreatment of this wack job dentist "Dr Schuler" about 6 months ago. She said that he spoke to her very rudely and stated that she take his recommendation or no other doctor in town would want to work with her or our son. I decided to take my son to his dentist appointment this time so that my wife didn't have to see this "doctor" anymore. When I asked to review his recommendation and the X-rays about capping a cavity, he stated that he was the professional and that I should stick to my job and he would stick to his. It was at that time that I grabbed my son and told that mfkr that he needed to apologize to my son and I about his unprofessional sarcasm. Like the big man child that he is, he got up and pushed his tray away and stormed out saying that my kid was better off seeing someone else and that as a parent I failed him with his care. This "doctor" is highly insecure that he refuses to see patients that simply ask for the reason for his recommendations. As a "bad" parent I will be taking my son to Dr Saleh and getting work done by a real professional that isn't insecure about his work. First and last time we try to get work done close to home. This place is a joke. When your kids age out, they don't say anything until they turn 10 and then basically tell you ok you're no longer welcome here anymore. Right in front of your child. BEWARE......... I don't usually write reviews but this place is an exception. My two year old granddaughter was seen by the dentist at Shark Tooth. This was her first visit ever to a dentist. He literally traumatized her. She was scared and crying and when my daughter picked her up to console her, he asked what she was doing and said she needed to put her down and let him do his job. Then he proceeded to tell her that she was a bad mom for allowing her to drink her sippy cup and that she obviously didn't care about her daughter. What kind of dentist speaks to patients and parents in this manner? This is supposed to be a pediatric dentist, he has no bedside manner whatsoever and is just a huge jerk. The lady at the front desk is very rude as well. I would NOT RECOMMEND this business to anyone!!!! Especially a child. read more

I will just inform parents that if you get a gut feeling to go see a second opinion, please do. I was told my son had multiple cavities and need to get them taken care of. We went ahead and set it up, staff was always super friendly and great, I was told that certain fillings were better than others. I didn't want my son to have a mouth full of silver fillings so we chose composite fillings. I was told by the doctor that composite is not strong like amalgam(silver) and most likely the composite would not hold up the best. I decided the bottom fillings would be composite and the top amalgam. Well my son lost the fillings that was amalgam(silver) which was supposed to be the stronger of the two. The doctor was nervous when he saw this and quickly wanted to fix it because my son was left with a big hole is his tooth and the doctor was worried, I could tell the doctor was nervous. Then when my son went for a routine check up after the visit where he had the filling redone I was told all those fillings didn't work enough and my son needed caps, 4 or 6 (can't remember)silver caps. At this point, I just felt like something was fishy. I found another doctor for a second opinion and was told that two of those cavities now may need to be root canals. I also was told that my son didn't need to have all this work done to begin with. His fillings were cracking and I had to repay to have this dentist fix ALL the work that was done to my son by Dr.Stanton. Long story short, My son did not need the silver caps at all, but all the work needed to be redone. The money isn't why I'm mad, they fact that I needed to put my son through additional work and discomfort is what makes me very upset. read more

The Dentist, who should be the professional, and provide patient education, is very unprofessional. He is kind and friendly as long as you sign disclosures and do not ask questions regarding your children's treatment. He expressed himself as above, explaining the sudden change in procedure, and is openly judgmental. He lacks professionalism, has a horrible timer that is very concerning, and it interferes with his professional judgment. It is the worst experience I have ever had, and I do not recommend him or his office. The staff is also insulting and inconsistent. Just received a certified letter from Shark Tooth Dentistry. And to my surprise they removed my child as a patient and from ever returning back to the facility. Only thing I did was cancel an appointment week before it was scheduled. My child had a tiny cavity and they wanted to put her to sleep to fill the tiny cavity. The doctor himself also said that the problem could resolve itself if added in more flossing daily to which I have been doing. Receptionist was extremely rude when I canceled the appt. She stated that it would be my fault if my child is in any pain. My child is pain free and able to eat with no issues. I would not recommend this child Dentistry to anyone!! As a mommy of a one year and a four-year-old I can't tell you how much I love and appreciate Shark Tooth. Where were dentists like this when I was little? Dr. Schuler is wonderful! Dr. Schuler reviewed my 9 year old daughters x rays and stated that as parents we don't owe our children anything. I need to remove her door from her room because she doesn't deserve privacy. Take away her food and that a child only needs a trash bag and belt as clothing. All of this was said to me because my daughter does not floss daily. I just sat there completely stunned at what was being said. He then went to look in my daughters mouth, the nurse told him that my daughter doesn't like that suction. Dr. Schuler told my daughter to grow up and stop wasting his time. Dr. Schuler said he was tired, hungry and cranky and didn't have time for this. My daughter got scared and refused to open her mouth. He stood up and slammed his chair against the wall grabbed his clip board and told my daughter to call him when she decided to make better decisions. I was faced what not knowing what to do for my daughter when her braces came unglued and it was causing so much discomfort over the weekend. Her orthodontist office has been closed sense early May Because of Covid-19 I was referred to shark Tooth Dentistry by my co-worker. Everyone in the office was super helpful and very friendly. They were able see her and guide me and my daughter in the right direction so she can get the help that she needed right away. I would most definitely recommend them to any family member or friend. This office, Dentist and staff are incredible. My five year old son was extremely nervous to have work done, but they made him feel comfortable and were able to do the work with minimal discomfort. I'm really not one to do this, but I feel that parents should be aware of what bad experience I had at this "great place" everyone spoke so highly about.... Took my little guy into have an xray done a month ago. Found out he needed some fillings done and maybe a few crowns. Appointment was made for today thinking he was going to have some minor dental surgery. Come to find out after talking with Dr Schuler, that my son would not be able to have any work done today because he would need to be sedated. No one informed me that sedation is only done on Fridays. Mind you, I took the entire day off from work thinking my son was going to have a procedure done. After having a brief discussion with the Dentist, and going back and forth about not being able to do the procedure today, he has the nerve to tell me, "well mam, I didnt give your son cavities and the decay on his teeth". What the hell. What dentist tells a mother that??? Like yes dr, I give my child a bowl on sugar and sodium every day because I'm a bad mother. Then he had the audacity to tell me the price of a procedure and stated that I should spend my money on "better things" for my kids. Like Really??? My son needs this. After trying only ONE time to get my son to open his mouth, he tells me that my son wouldn't let him open his mouth. He literally tried once and gave up. I will NEVER take my kids back to Dr Schuler. Worst Dentist ever. And to think, so many parents I spoke to gave high reviews. I will not be giving him a great review. The other staff in the front, the girls, were great. Our family started seeing this dentistry when it first opened up. There has been a HUGE shift from the front desk staff, to the dentist himself. I've personally never had a bad experience with him, more so see a big change in his demeanor. He's always been respectful to me and my children, his dental hygienists are lovely and always so sweet with my kids. When he first opened you could tell he loved his patients and love what he does, now he seems over worked and tired. His front desk staff used to be wonderful, they are all gone and replaced with ladies who are rude, who don't have manners, and who always threaten you with "dismissing" your children from their office especially when you can't answer a phone call and they have to leave a voicemail. I was just informed that they refuse to do a partial treatment on my child because I refuse to get silver caps on my child, so now they are canceling his appointment and "dismissing" all of my children from their office. The way the staff goes about phone calls demanding and threatening is ridiculous and absolutely disgusting as a business. It's unfortunate because our kids have enjoyed going there, but I haven't enjoyed dealing with his front desk staff for a while. We will be taking our business elsewhere. read more

If I could give this practice 0 stars, I would. Attn: this review is about unprofessional behavior of dentist Dr. Stanton Schuler, not his office staff. My son was referred to Dr. Schuler's practice by our family dentist. While waiting to be seen, my son was watching cartoons on TV that was mounted in the ceiling. I moved TV to the side so my son could see the cartoons better. Mind you, there was no sign in the room saying "do not touch or move any equipment". When Dr. Schuler entered the room, he noticed right away that TV has been moved to the side. He started obnoxiously yelling at me in front of my 3 yo how expensive his office equipment was and that I should have not touched anything in the room. I guess yelling at a woman half his size in front of her child is an acceptable behavior for Dr. Schuler. I've never felt so disrespected and powerless. My son and I left the office crying. We'll never forget Dr. Schuler's "wonderful welcome"! read more

I am shocked at how many great reviews this dentist has. He must pick and choose who he wants to be professional to because he is the rudest dentist I've ever met. I just nicely asked a question about the work my daughter was going to get done and instead of explaining the necessity of certain fillings, he went off on me and told me that if I don't want to do what he recommends that I can go somewhere else. I was just asking questions and he said he's not going to argue with me and that I don't seem very happy there so he can recommend me to someone else. I was not in any way trying to argue with him. As patients we have the right to ask questions and as a dentist he should answer any them professionally. I'm not a dentist so him as a dentist could have just explained things to me. I don't know who he thinks he is to think that he can't be questioned. Today my five-year-old son was scheduled for a root canal. We had discussed white prosthetic crowns for him. After my child has had the laughing gas, numbing and then drilled, the dentist looks up and says "you wanted silver caps today right?" I said "no, white, we discussed that before" and he proceeds to say "we can't do that unless he's put under" and naturally I'm upset that we were told the opposite by his wife. He pressured us into a decision. After the silver cap was done, he then said that he hasn't been doing this for very long and needs to practice the white crowns more. Okay... that should have been told to us BEFORE. I said "I felt very pressured to make that decision while you had a drill in my child's mouth" he laughed and said "okay you have a great day, you're more than welcome to choose another dentist for the rest" and walked out.
