Updating my review from a year ago! So my daughter is now 3yo and no longer cries when we see Dr. Davis! She enjoys going to the dentist. Today I took my son. He just turned one a few months ago and this was his first dental appointment. Per usual I got a text message reminding me to schedule an appointment for my daughter. I called the office and scheduled an appointment for her and asked if I can include my son. They took his info down and scheduled an appointment same day and time for both kids. When we arrived we were greeted at the front and I signed some forms and we sat down in the waiting area. No more than 10mins later they called us back. They took dental X-rays for my daughter and they both had 2 chairs side by side ready and cleaned. The RDA were all so nice and gentle with my kids and gave my toddler an option to choose what type of polish flavor. Once Dr.Davis got around to seeing us he was professional, kind, knowledgeable, he's great with the kids and he still sings lol He took the time to explain and gave all the rational behind his recommendations. They had balloons today! My kids made it to the No Cavities Wall. This where they can write their name on a paper they provide and stick it on the wall. They also give tokens so that the kids can get a prize at the end. When we got to the prizes my daughter usually gets a ball but today they didn't have any and she said it out loud and one of the staff members heard and came to us with 3 of them in his hand and offered it to her. Such a kind and generous gesture. We were in and out of our appointment all within 20mins!!! I truly enjoy taking my kids here. Staff is friendly, they do an amazing job with the kids. Dr.Davis is wonderful! Love that they work fast too, as a mother of two who takes my kids to their appointments alone it's always nice to be in and out because managing 2 kids alone can be a bit much. This place really caters to the kids they have different play areas for the kids as well. Highly recommended! read more

Very clean environment, I like how they have some toy structures for the kids but they don't overdo it. Large back area with screens on the ceiling and the walls in the corners. Very low key, the screens do the job without being too distracting for everyone else. The X-ray part went fast. Filled out like 7 documents on a tablet after signing one form. Efficient process. I'm loving my first impression of this place. I arrived 3 minutes before my appointment and 19 minutes after my appointment time, X-rays are done and he's on the chair with the cleaning in full swing. Much better then my first dental appointment in Fresno earlier this month with an adult dentist who I had to schedule a second appointment with but didn't know until later. My son has autism and when he was younger, he'd freak out at the dentist. He's having no issues rn. I'm liking how they are explaining to him about the importance of brushing, etc. I can tell he's nervous, but the hygienist must be doing a good job cause he's not stopping her which he will if you're rough... They just serviced another patient next to me, went fast and was happy to see them wipe the the table down afterwards that they lay on. The staff here is so wonderful! They make every visit fun and not scary. We recently went in for an emergency X-ray and not only were we able to get in same day, they made the whole experience fun and not scary, and def calmed this moms nerves! They have lots for kiddos to do while you wait (which isn't long at all) and even have TVs on the ceiling for them to watch while they are laying down getting their teeth cleaned. Since it was my first time taking my 1.5 yr old to the dentist, I had to do some research to find the right dentist for my little guy and I'm so glad I found this office. Our first visit went great! The staff (Front Desk, Dental Assistant, and Dentist) were all extremely friendly and super helpful for me and my son. They also send friendly text message reminders of your upcoming appointment, which is very helpful. No kid likes going to the dentist and I'm sure my son will be no exception in his future visits, but there is a fun waiting area for the kids to play, and even a little play area in the back where they get checked on. The dental assistant was very gentle and friendly with my little guy and did their best to put him at ease. She did very well also informing me of general tips and information for good dental health. We just had our the best visit to a pediatric dentist-- not just because my kid is finally starting to get over her fear. Rather, the STAFF made it our best visit yet. Lali was my daughter's Dental Assistant--she's an absolute jewel and a rock star! She explained what was happening every step of the way, in terms my three-year-old understood. She was so patient and kind and a calming force when my kid freaked out (not as much as other times!). Dr. Jordan is also INCREDIBLY great with kids! The entire staff from the front of the office to the Doctors are just great. So friendly and patient with my son, whom has autism and can take a little longer than most kids to comply and get done. We've been coming here for years, always love that Dr. PRIETO takes time to answer my questions. He is genuinely enthusiastic about what he does and takes the time to reassure my kids before and throughout. Today's appt was a short call appt I took and it was a bit of a cluster to leave work, grab kids from school and rush over there. My son goes here and he felt very comfortable for being three years old the only thing I will say the fees in comparison to other offices are a little higher he got sealants before and they were around $40 and this place charged around 60 many times your health insurance does not cover sealant so you have to pay out-of-pocket if you're looking to pay out of pocket and get competitive pricing you might want to shop around but as far as comfort for children being as young as he said they did a very good job read more

Been seen by Dr. Nierode for last 3 visits and have been very pleased with her gentle and knowledgeable demeanor. The hygienist staff is very kind, gentle and helpful with my two girls. The office is clean and I appreciated the wonderful locations. I'm giving it 3 stars because... 1. The office will not allow you to make appointments in the future. They text you and let you know it's time to make an appointment. Then you call them and try to set the up an appointment. 2. They are the only business that I've ever heard of that will not take checks. They only accept cash or credit cards for payment. read more

Took my 3 1/2 year old here for his first dental visit and it was the best experience I could have asked for. Booking the appointment by phone was fast and easy, and I love that you can complete the paperwork electronically ahead of time. We arrived to the appointment 20 minutes early and signed another paper while our son played in their play area. We got called right on time to go to the back. The dental assistant was truly so sweet, patient, friendly, and accommodating. Our son has autism and some sensory sensitivities. She was so compassionate and great with him and I could tell that he felt at ease with her. He even laid down and let her floss his teeth! That is unheard of with us lol. He did cry a bit and yell a few times but she handled it so well and she made sure to check on us too to make sure we were okay with everything. Then the dentist came and she was just as friendly and amazing. She did great with our son and didn't try to rush or get it over with. She took her time and also gave him time to feel comfortable with her and with the tools she was using. He did begin to resist her looking at his teeth so she wasn't able to see everything as well as she would've wanted but she did great. She told us the next steps we needed to take for his services and explained the whole process so we knew what to expect. After that they walked us to the ladies who set up future appointments and those ladies were so friendly too. Everyone we encountered was awesome. We were in and out of there within 25 minutes! I would absolutely recommend this place to other parents, especially those with children who have special needs or sensitivities. They are wonderful with children. read more

I would choose no other pediatric dentist in Clovis than Ca KiDDs. I have been a loyal family for about 7 years when my kids switched over. As a child, I personally never went to a kid specific dentist place and didn't realize at first how much the experience could be better for kids than I had. Now having 5 kids of my own, I have come to value the little extras of this kid friendly place. The room is open, and they try to get all of my kids done AT THE SAME TIME. That is genius for parents because I can look and see all of them getting cleaned, walk over to one table or another where needed and most importantly ... it saves time. I love that they have TVs on the ceiling. I love the flavors of cleaning products, I love the animal shapes of some equipment and the cute decor of the room. The play area in the waiting room is adorable as is the train table inside while siblings wait for each other. The professionalism of the staff and Dentists are superior to other places and they know how to talk to kids of all ages. My kids have also had fillings ... (floss more, I know) and they are gentle, sensitive to scared kids and the work comes out great. I wish they weren't booked out so far for those treatments, but that's my only wish. read more

I could not be happier! California Kidds is the place to bring your kids. Friendly staff/ very kid friendly, clean location, and toys to keep the kids entertained. Appointment reminders via text message and confirmation the day before appointment confirming by a text message. Day of appointment they have a tablet with health questions you can walk around with while your child is undergoing X-rays and teeth cleaning. They also have TV's overhead, so the kids are entertained with a kids friendly movie. Talk and describe every step and procedure to your child so they have no chance to fear the unknown. After visit with dentist they give the kids a bag with toothpaste, toothbrush, and floss. Along with doing such a great job they give your child a gold coin to use on the machine as you leave to get a prize and a balloon!! Happy kids happy mom! (No cavities too) read more

Our kids have been going to California kids for the last couple of years and they love it. Dr prieto is great he makes the kids feel relaxed and comfortable. The new location is very easy to find with lots of parking and a big waiting and dental area. The staff are all great and my kids just love going to the dentist. This jag to be the best pediatric dentist group in the valley and Dr prieto is among the best dentist I have come across, he never tries to force you into a decision about your kids teeth and always has the child's best interest in mind. First time there with my son, Melissa the RDA was very interactive and sweet with my son. She took x rays and cleaned my sons teeth. The dentist who came by to go over x rays and my concern was also exactly the same with my son. This place is great in service we were done in under 30 minutes. Took my 11 month daughter in for her first dentist appointment and our experience was wonderful! They had plenty of toys (video games, legos, puzzles, and even a kitchen) and books to keep her entertain while we wait. While she was playing, I filled out health forms on a tablet, which was new and different for me and I really like that part. We waited no longer than 10 minutes. The staff was great and gave great advice and tips on how to care for her teeth moving forward. My baby has stain on her teeth which I feared was cavities. The dentist was super sweet and were great with my kid but other surrounding kids as well. In between dentist and staff time/observation, my baby was able to play with toys and other kids. At the end of the appointment, they gave her a coin to use at the toy dispenser. She loved it. I'm glad I took her here and not with my regular dentist. This place was made/designed to make our kids comfortable and us parents happy. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this place. I was recommended to different places but we chose this place. There were a few doctors to choose from but our ultimate decision was Dr Evans. This place is very kid friendly from toys to video games, even tvs with kids movies while they are being worked on. My son is 3 and this was his first time. The girl who helped us was so gentle with him the entire time and let him get comfortable with the whole process. My daughter had her first visit at this location a few days ago and it was awesome! My daughter was upset and crying on the way to the dentist but as soon as we walked into the door she calmed down almost immediately the staff is awesome and really knows how to work with the kids so that they are not afraid and are excited to be there. My daughter will need to go back to get some work done and I was a little nervous about what her reaction would be when I told her but she was so excited to be coming back.
