Received my 3 year medicinal license in Nov. of 24. In October of 25 I got a call unexpectedly asking for $125 to schedule an appointment to meet with the Dr again. I told her I paid for a 3 year license and was already certified by her Dr. She said I have to pay and have an appointment every year or they would notify the state they are no longer certifying my license. This sounded like a scam, everyone I talked to before I got my license said it was one dr appointment and then I would have my license for 3 years. After some back and forth she lowered the appointment price to $100 and then later she dropped it to $90. This made me think this was definitely a scam. I said I was willing to meet with the Dr. again but I would not pay anymore than what I paid when I got my license. Extra appointments and costs were not discussed when I originally agreed and the phone call was very sketchy. She said she would tell the Dr. A couple days later I got a letter from the state saying they pulled my medical license because my provider puled their certification. I called Medical Cannabis Outreach and talked to the owner. It is their policy to charge their patients every year for an evaluation whether their license is 3 years or 1 year. They pulled my certification after one phone call where I wouldn't pay $100 on the spot. I now do not have access to medicine I use to treat my PTSD/anxiety/depression. I'm 19 so no recreational marijuana to fall back on. The owner said I should find a different provider. I had to find a new provider (illinoiscannabis.org), recertify my 3 year license, and repay for both after Medical Cannabis Outreach cost me my 3 year medicinal license less than 1 year into my certification.
