I honestly can say Shanghai is the best Chinese place I have ever been too. Some people agree but say it's only good on some days but every time I eat there, it's always good. I recommend the Sesame chicken and egg rolls. read more

Bland soup, okay main dishes but the appetizers are pretty good for a small town.

Egg rolls were great. I had the Thai chicken with basil and my husband had the Ying yang shrimp. We both enjoyed our entrees.

Ordered Hunan Chicken on July 3, 2018 and the chicken was so tuff and hard could not eat it.

Service great, cozy atmosphere! Eveything made by scratch so you can change any ingredient ( less salt, no MSG, extra spicy) and mix and match menu items ( lo mein noodles, general tso sauce, chicken and pork, and add broccoli if you want) I love being able to make my own dish with my favorite things. This food use to be delicious but now its gross. They have replaced the white and dark chicken with the cheapest cuts of chicken possible. The mixed meat fried rice has a coating of oil that literally makes the rice soggy. Crunchy gristles in the wongtons are not tasty. Meanwhile they are sticky and mushy. Everything is extra and the quality isn't there anymore. read more

We have been to this restaurant several times and were very pleased with the food and service in the past. That changed drastically today. Although the service was acceptable and the hostess pleasant, the so called chef has lost it. Our food was not at all what we ordered. My wife usually gets the lemon grass shrimp. Last time they served her chicken instead of shrimp, a mistake she overlooked because the lemongrass was plentifully and wonderful. This time they got the shrimp right, but the lemongrass was non-existent. I tried the Thai shrimp with basil and peanut sauce. There was neither basil nor peanut sauce in what they served. I asked them to make amends. Their crazy chef sent it back worse than before. The third time it had no sauce at all, but some peanut flavor, still no basil. (Neither sweet, nor Thai basil) Now they asked if I wanted sauce on the side and delivered me a cold bowl of peanut sauce straight out of the fridge. The chef not only was insulting with this little maneuver, but proved to me he had lost it. They say he has been there 30 years. I don't when he lost his talent, or if he has just decided the cheapen up the food, but we never another dime of our money. Too bad, it used to be pretty decent. read more

I have eaten here a couple of times each month for almost a year now. The variety is the best quality about this restaurant. I love Asian food so being able to choose from Pad Thai, General Tso's chicken, and Singapore Noodles (not really Singaporean) is great. By far, they have the best Asian in the area. Besides the Indian in Pearland, I would say it's better than the Asian I've eaten in Pearland. The ingredients are always fresh and I've asked the chef several times to vary certain ingredients. They have always been accommodating when they could. The waitstaff is always very friendly and timely. My only very, very minor complaint are the size of the glasses. I don't like having to have continuous refills especially when eating spicy food. But like I said it's very, very minor. I'm glad the area has such a great restaurant. read more

I usually don't write reviews but after having lunch here, I thought I would give my opinion. The food was disgusting. I ordered crab puffs to start and wonton soup. The crab puffs had large chunks of what I'm guessing was carrots. Who does that? The cheese had a brownish tint to it and the actual wonton was extremely greasy. The wonton soup was ok until I tried to cut the wonton in half. Whatever type of meat was inside would not split apart. I tried chewing it and had to spit it out because it was so hard. My main entree was sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. The chicken batter was a weird yellow orangish color and was extra mushy on the inside. The chicken was dry and rubbery. The fried rice that came with the meal was so cold, almost as if it were in the fridge. I sent it back and received a "fresh" bowl which was the exact same temperature. I refused a to go box and left all the food at the table. I will not be back. I'd rather eat from the dollar menu at McDonald's (which I did after leaving here). Worst Chinese food ever! read more

It's the best chinese place in town but it's gone down over the last 10 years. In the past few years it has gotten really bad. A lot of attitude from the wait staff and manager. Orders are often wrong. Drinks sit unfilled. read more
