Best take out in lockhaven-mill hall area. Food is always fresh, nice portions and reasonably priced. Service is courteous, with a big "sweetheart or honey " from the order taker. I always get take-out here and this is my favorite Chinese restaurant in Lock Haven. They also have a non-door dash delivery which is great, it's nice that all of the payment goes directly to the restaurant in this case. If you pick up the food is ready pretty quickly, I think the longest I've had to wait was 20 minutes. The food is always delicious as well. read more

This is really a 3.5 but yelp does not allow that. What can be said about this average run of the mill Chinese restaurant? Typical Chinese take out food so don't come here expecting anything different or out of the norm here. This is the only Chinese establishment in the LH area so everyone goes here for that quick bite. The kitchen is always clean so sanitary issues are no an issue. Prices are decent and you get plenty for what it is worth. Staff is always friendly and hard working. Also I would like to note this is one of the few restaurants that will deliver in the area and not charge an arm and a leg. There is nothing left to say about it. Just a so-so kinda place. read more

This food was awful. Stringy beef and very very skimpy on the meat included in the order. It took 45 min to get to the hotel. The fried rice was very bland and no sauces were included, no soy sauce or duck sauce or mustard sauce. We were stranded and hungry so we ate some of it. But honestly if this had not been the case, I'd have thrown all of it in the trash. The egg rolls were decent and the plain white rice was also fine, but if you can't make those you have no business being a Chinese restaurant. HOLY EFF. I stayed in Lock Haven for two nights, and ordered from Shanghai both nights. Don't judge me because this is totally lame. But I digress. They delivered to our hotel (Fairfield Marriott). Food came HOT and delicious. Best egg rolls I've had in quite some time. Great chicken and broccoli with really tasty brown sauce. (Have I mentioned how I detest the white sauce on chicken & broccoli? Blecch). I am serious. This is some of the best Chinese food I have ever had. read more

I love Shanghai. I live on campus near by and they always have good delivery time. They have only messed up my order once but were more than willing to fix it for me! Could the best Chinese food in America be in Lock Haven, PA ? Cruising west on the I-80, we got hungry around 7:00 pm and came into this hamlet four miles off the highway. After scouting four possibilities - two "American" restaurants, one called Texas, and Shanghai, we settled on Shanghai. Unbelievably good food. In our understanding, sometimes dishes at Chinese American restaurants taste very similar. The three we order were all distinct. And not too much oil ! Wow overall ! We now have resupply points at Mexican Restaurant off I-80 in Toledo, OH and Chinese in Lock Haven, PA - totally covered for all our east-west travel. read more

I live in Lock Have. This is the only place I order my Chinese from. Everything I have gotten from there menu is good. It is family owned and they cook every order fresh. Which makes a difference. Two of my favorites are the walnut chicken or the sesame beef. read more
