I have NEVER been treated so terribly by restaurant staff in my life. Never any compassion or empathy when orders are late or wrong, just excuses and attitude!! The lady manager and children she employs are the absolute worst and they have no problem being rude to customers! Like you are the problem and should be greatful the store is even open for you to visit. The children are much more interested in hanging out and talking than actually doing any work, and have no problem acting like children in your face while waiting extremely long times for your food. There could be no one in the store and you can expect to wait forever. Online and even in store orders are never prompt or on time. Ive even had some online orders cancelled due after receiving a "your order is ready" text message and when i arrived to pick the food up, no I'm sorry, or even one care in the world, just oh well "we're short staffed". I've currently been waiting over an hour for a scheduled online order that was placed 4 hours ahead of time! And again i received the "you order is ready" text before even showing up. If you are in Rome and looking for good BBQ, do yourself a favor and go downtown to Moe's instead! The best thing about the meal was the Texas Toast. The mac and cheese looked and tasted like it was made w/ the slimy orange cheese that goes on concession stand nachos. The pulled pork was dry and I didn't care for their sauce. The most enjoyable part of the meal was the fried okra, but unless you either burn in or it is super greasy, it is hard to mess that up. read more

This place isn't too bad for fast food. It took me a little while to figure out what to order. If it was busy that might've been awkward, but it was slow. It got very busy, so being a little early for lunch paid off. They had a good variety of BBQ products. read more

The food is good.. but the service sucks! My mom asked for no sauce when she got her ribs and they fixed that issue but then there was sauce on the bread and when she went and asked for another piece the girl who I think was the manager that night... rolled her eyes and huffed away. We were visiting in Rome, Georgia and trying out various BBQ places. This place is more of a 'chain' as opposed to the little mom n pop places but for a chain it is AWESOME! They do their BBQ right, give great big portions, and the cost is less than you would think. Sweet tea was super sweet but I think that was our fault, pretty sure we were supposed to mix it up or something. Anyway, it was great once we put some regular tea in and some lemon. The staff was super friendly and helpful, the place was clean and inviting. This location was right next to the river and you could go for a walk alongside the river after you ate, if you wanted to. We will definitely be back when we come for another visit, all we wonder is WHY don't you open some of these in southern California? :) Thanks for a great first visit! read more

Poor customer service. Haven't received a correct order the last several times ordering from here which is ironic since they check the plates with you. The problem with that in this located though is they hold the plate away from you with their body in between you and the plate. Every time I was in during evening hours the staff is on their cell phones and act annoyed that you interrupted them. Tried calling them tonight after getting home and realized I didn't have everything and the phone rang for 7 minutes straight, no answer, the phone system eventually automatically hung up the call. read more

I've always had great experiences here getting take-out! The phone is answered promptly and politely. When you come in to pick it up, it's always ready when they said, fresh and hot. They always open your box with you to make sure that your order is correct and so you know to ask for anything else you might need like ketchup. Their sauces are good, though I wish they had an option that was less sweet (I did not count off for that because this is a chain and I know this particular location I'm reviewing cannot control that). The bbq version of Panera. You order and pay then sit yourselves down and wait for the to serve your food. I've only had the sampler. Didn't like the sides, ( sweet potato fries & potato salad) but everyone makes potato salad differently. surprised that mashed potatoes aren't a choice. But the sampler will fill you up. We are regulars here. Wanda, the manager, is great! Staff is fast and friendly and always working, even when Wanda isn't there. lol. Fries not right? Fresh fries in minutes.
