7 years ago, I bought a diamond engagement ring from Shane Co. I called off the wedding 6 months later. I still have the ring today. The reason I am leaving a 1-star review for Shane Co. is because of 2 things: (1) the salesman who sold me the ring put on a high pressure sales pitch, including the line, "a diamond is a great investment - it will never go down in value." (2) Shane Co. proudly brags about their return policy/warranty, claiming (falsely) that they will always take it back and give you store credit for the same amount you paid for it! This is misleading, at best, and a bald faced lie, at worst. This is my warning to all diamond ring shoppers, but especially to those shopping at Shane Co.: Regarding my first complaint, from the second I called off the wedding until today, 7 years later, the ring is worth pennies on the dollar of what I paid for it (trying to resell it privately on the secondhand market, Craigslist, Facebook marketplace, etc.). A diamond is a HORRIBLE "investment", as you will never, ever be able to resell it for anywhere near what you paid for it. The salesman at Shane Co. who sold me my diamond engagement ring straight up lied to my face, and I believed him. Don't be as foolish as I was. Regarding my second complaint, be careful to read ALL of the fine print when it comes to Shane Co.'s warranty. They do NOT allow you to exchange your one engagement ring for several different pieces of jewelry. You can only exchange the diamond for a different single item of equal or greater value. So, if you spent $20k on a diamond ring, like I did, you can only exchange it for another single item of at least $20k price, AND you have to pay tax (again) on the new item, so even if you do exchange your ring for a new single item, you still have to pay 10% of the sales price (over $2k in the case of my ring). Additionally, since I didn't want to exchange the ring for one single item, Shane Co. offered to buy back my diamond ring, one that I spent over $20k on, for around $2,500... is that the great investment the salesman sold me on? Whatever you take away from this review, don't walk into a Shane Co. with the belief that they are honest people and actually care about their customers. They simply want to sell you the most expensive thing you can afford. I personally found Shane Co. to be an unethical company. Liars, grifters, peddlers, pretending to care about their customers, but misleading them at every turn. read more

I found THE ring that I HAD to have on line and went to check it out in person. I had the pleasure of working with Charles Ritter the second time that I went in to look at the ring. He did not, at all, pressure me into buying the ring at that moment, or the third or forth or fifth... etc time that I went in to look at it. He got it out for me every time and never seemed to be bothered at all by the fact that I could not purchase it at that moment. He did advise me when I should really find a way to get the ring NOW so that I did not miss out on it, and he was right. There are not many of MY rings left. I LOVE HIM!! I did finally get THE ring!! :-) It is amazing and I love it. I sincerely appreciate the professionalism that Charles Ritter continuously showed me during my long wait to get my ring. Most people at jewelry stores would have gotten short when I could not actually purchase the ring in all of those trips to the store to view it in person. (I couldn't help it though. I stare at it all the time!!) He has been MY man to go to for over a year now. XOXOXO Many thanks Charles!! Later I had a mishap with ordering a matching band online, the online team was amazing, (Thank you to Angela Waters for the help through that whole process), however the vender they used made a mistake. Angela Waters personally saw that I did not leave completely unsatisfied. Everyone is human, even the people that work with amazing company's like Shane Co, but Shane Co will find a way to fix any mistakes!! You WILL leave happy with them!! After the mishap I was disappointed, but I went back into the store and had the pleasure of working with Juan Ruiz. Juan Ruiz is AMAZING!!! He is what I picture in my mind when I think of Shane Company employees. I have always held Shane Co. on a higher level than any other jewelry store and he is one of the reasons why. I now have two people that I know I can go to for anything and always leave completely satisfied. Take the Shane Company test and check out other jewelry stores before coming here, I did. You will see that Shane Company is the highest in all aspects of a jewelry stores. My parents fell in love and passed their love to me. Of course I had to do my own homework, as most people do, but as always, my parents were right. read more

Recently, my (future) fiance and I went to Shane Co. to pick out my engagement ring. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a friendly and welcoming staff, particularly Charles who we worked with during our experience here. We could not be happier and more pleased with our experience. Charles was friendly and more informative than any jeweler I have ever dealt with. He never pressured us to choose the most expensive ring and diamond option, but rather insisted that we choose the ring that we loved the most. He was patient and NEVER made us feel like a burden. He was more than happy to pull even more diamonds when we asked to see them and let us look at each individual diamond for as long as we needed to. Both my fiance and I were not well informed about diamonds and choosing the best one, but Charles took the time to teach us everything we would need to know in order to make the best decision. He even gave us all of the upgrade options ahead of time so we could factor those into our final decision. Most importantly, Charles made sure not to show us anything outside of our budget. Some people may not appreciate this, but this was extremely important to me. My fiance is by no means rich, so it was imperative that we stick to (or under) the budget, and Charles respected this. Thank you, Charles, for the most amazing ring shopping experience! We hope to work with you again in the future and look forward to being lifetime customers of Shane Co. read more

I made a purchase a few weeks ago from this Shane Company and every employee went above and beyond to make sure my purchase (an engagement ring) was special and truly a pleasant experience. I did not have full intentions on purchasing a ring that day, but Darrah sold me on Shane Company's brand and how this company is in a league of its own. I had shopped around other local stores in my hometown as well as other stores around the Atlanta area, and the service I received at this Shane Company surpassed any store I had been to by a long shot. Moreover, Cathy, Chris, and Kim assisted me with the checkout process in a timely and friendly manner. On top of that, I requested to pick up the ring an hour early on the day it was due to be ready, and there was a misunderstanding over the phone in which an employee thought I meant a day before (the day after I made the purchase) to have it ready. I called back immediately to clarify I meant the day after, but I was told not to worry and that they would have it ready for me even though it was not supposed to be ready for another day! In a time in which it seems customer service and being friendly to those who are searching for engagement rings or anything special is a lost art, this particular Shane Company reminded me that there are still people that work their job to deliver satisfaction and happiness to their customers. read more

I will never ever ever ever ever again look for diamonds anywhere else. Josh Mathis has to be the best representative of a company I've ever met. I came in thinking my online research of engagement rings had taught me how to mathematically calculate the cut, grade, clarity, size and cost to select the best 'deal' for my money. Josh was incredibly patient with me as he slowly unraveled what I thought I knew and showed me how to buy the diamond for it's look and beauty. In the end, I'm not even sure of the measurements of the diamond I purchased! I did't spend a dollar more than I had budgeted either. He brought out several diamonds that I had asked to see, slipped a few extras into the bunch, and told me to pick the one I thought was the most beautiful. I picked one that he had found for me that cost slightly less but was far more beautiful. That's a Shane Classic for you though. Its perfect cut just played with my eyes for several minutes. So, if there's a person reviewing these reviews for Shane Co, or if you're the owner himself, I think Josh deserves an "attaboy." He's been fantastic to me and I know that for the rest of my life the most beautiful woman in the world will be wearing the most beautiful diamond I've ever seen, thanks to Josh, my friend in the diamond business. read more

Hello , this review is from Pete & Mary B. We have been married for 20 plus years , Pete purchased my engagement ring at Shane's Duluth location. I loved it from the time he put it on my finger ( a single emerald cut stone - on a simple setting of yellow gold that ring was my moment, says Mary). Well quite UN- expectantly the center stone of that ring came -off. I was crushed , sad crying. (also Mary) I told Pete, we went to Shane in Duluth , to ask & see what they could do. We were taken care of by a lovely lady ( Paris) She listened to us , spoke to those in charge (Shane owners). Much to our surprise , the word came back that they would Honor their "Lifetime Guarantee " My stone was replaced , we did choose a new setting which is very beautiful. But mostly I wanted to say ," Thank You so much Shane Co. a piece of my heart was restored thought your kind gesture and the integrity of your company. I will continue to treasure my ring , reflecting back over those 20 + years , all my family and friends will hear of what a great company Shane Co . is. Continued Blessing & success to you and all of your associates. Gratefully yours , Pete & Mary B read more

Over the past year, I've had the absolute pleasure of working with three amazing associates at Shane Co. to upgrade my engagement ring, at the Alpharetta location. Every step of the way, the team has been incredibly helpful, patient, and dedicated to making sure I found the perfect piece. Most recently, Roxanne assisted me, and I can't thank her enough for her patience and kindness--especially when I changed my mind at the last minute! She took the time to walk me through all my options, ensuring I felt confident and happy with my final choice. Previously, I had the pleasure of working with Sneh and John, who were just as fantastic! Their knowledge and genuine care made the entire experience enjoyable and stress-free. Each of them went above and beyond to help me make the best selection possible, and I truly appreciate their expertise and guidance. If you're looking for top-notch service and a team that truly cares, I highly recommend Shane Co. Thank you, Roxanne, Sneh, and John, for making this such a special experience! read more

A long time ago I remember D Geller & Son making fun of Tom Shane and his voice, and I remember Tom keeping his professionalism and never responding. That alone is why I chose the Shane Company. This was my first engagement ring, and boy was I nervous. Then came Haley. What a true gem she turned out to be. By the time we were done, from picking out the band and diamond, then all the way to the back checkout, I could not have been more fortunate than to have been blessed with the true professionalism, courteous, knowledgeable and all around great person that Haley was. By the time we were done, not only did it confirm where I was going to go for all of my jewelry needs, but also who I would highly recommend to anybody else for a jewelry purchase. I left there confident and more than satisfied with my purchase. Thank you Tom for a wonderful experience, and for me having been blessed to have been lucky enough to to acquire the True Gem...Haley. Please be sure to thank her again for me. With great pride... James ( Jim ) Davis. read more

Sunday night- I came back in the house from my workout to find my wedding ring on the floor basically destroyed by one of the dogs. *it has gone in the same place for four years when I workout.. 4 years!!!* Monday evening- I was determined yesterday to drive to Shane Co after work, I didn't even care the amount of traffic I got stuck in. It was getting dropped off. After all the shocked and crazy looks I got when I pulled it out of my bag, they said they could fix it and all for free! When I say I cried- I legit cried in the middle if Shane Co and found the guy and gave him a huge hug. Tuesday evening- I got a call from Shane Co and honestly my heart dropped because they said it would be 2 weeks to fix, but they called saying it was ready for pick up! The guy in repairs worked on my ring all day so I could get it back as soon as possible! To Saveth at Shane Co in Duluth, you are my newest angel! I couldn't thank him enough!!!! Moral of the story- always go to Shane Co. They are miracle workers!! read more

I was looking for a three carat, high quality, emerald cut diamond and engagement ring. I shopped at Jared's, D. Gellar and Sons, a diamond dealer in Atlanta, and the Shane Company. I dealt with Cindy Downie in the Kennesaw store and to be honest, I was shocked at what the Shane Company was able to do from a price and quality perspective. Cindy was professional, kind, knowledgeable and determined to do business with me. In summary my conclusion is... Jared's is too corporate minded to be flexible and they never did what they said they would do, D. Gellar and Sons came across as a used car salesman and lacked in the quality departmen, and the smaller dealer was not capable of giving me the stability and trust that I needed (they could not offer me a guarantee). I feel like the Shane Company was flexible and sincerely listened to my needs and met all of them. I WILL do business again with the Shane Company! Thank you Cindy and Michael. Michael D read more

I purchase an enguagement ring back in May 2011, in less than 6 months my wife discovered her diamond was missing. We searched high and low with no luck of locating it. The sales person I purchased from, Cynthia Cross, told me the ring was guarrenteed for anything as long as the entire ring was not lost. She was also a great help through the entire buyying process. So on a sunday we returned to the store and were greeted by Carlos Rowe. We told him what had happened. I myself thought this was going to be a huge ordeal and if we did get the diamond replaced would have to jump through many hoops and it would take a long time. But I was wrong, Carlos handled everything very quickly and 2 days later I had ring in hand. The customer service I recieved from these 2 proffesionals was second to none!!! Customer service is very high on my lists of musts and this place exceeded my exspectations. read more

I am so happy to be able to say that I am a redeemed customer! I was very disgruntled by Shane Co. overall due to multiple problems with multiple pieces- I swore I would never step foot back into this store again! After seeing these pieces sit in my jewelery box, unworn and unloved- the bitter product of a very bad consumer experience- I figured I had nothing to lose and gave this company one last shot. I am SO glad I did- thanks to Marcus Luck and associate Melissa!!! These two made all the difference in turning me into a very satisfied customer. As soon as I walked through the door they were attentive, sympathetic, and, most importantly, focused on making the situation right! And they did. Thank you Marcus and Melissa for your help- I'm sure we'll see you again soon:) read more

This was the most amazing experience I had felt buying a ring with Shane Co. My experience with Charles Ritter from Atlanta, GA was perfect. He went through the whole step even though I didn't buy right then and there. But came back in a week and finally bought my girlfriend a ring last night after touching up a few options with Charles R. I never felt rush or did his mood change even when I can back a few times to make sure it was the ring I wanted. I would recommended Charles to my family and friends. Which one has already bought from him 3 days ago and next one is coming this week. This place has the best warranty I have ever seen and I went to 4 places and trust me will never by anywhere else but Shane Co. Thanks Charles!!! read more

My boyfriend, now fiance', is in the military and stationed at Fort Benning. He had been looking for a good opportunity to pop the question and decided that he would pop the question at his promotion ceremony! My mom and I live up by Duluth so Mr. Gipe, my mom, and my boyfriend, had to figure out a way to purchase and get the ring to where he was in Columbus without me knowing. They had to do this in LESS than 2 DAYS!!! Mr. Gipe somehow figured out a way to complete all the paperwork and transactions in time! It was a successful surprise! Thank you so much for all your help and I would highly recommend Shane Co. in Duluth! Find Mr. Gipe when you go! :) Alyssa B. :) read more

After the initial purchase of my ring, I have been blown away by the customer service that I've received both in person, and on the phone. The past two times that I've been in to have my ring serviced, I've had the utmost pleasure of working with the same rep, John. He is very attentive to details and makes sure that no questions goes unanswered, and also helped me with some concerns in regards to moving to a state that doesn't have a Shane Co. The fact that he remembered working with me before is a big plus in my book. Even though my ring isn't the most expensive, it's that attention and recognition which really makes me feel like a valued customer. read more

First off, the facility looks amazing on the inside and out. Wonderful entryway and efficient layout of the store. We were immediately greeted and handed over to an extremely we'll-mannered and very educated associate named Kevin. We merely told him a broad idea of what we were looking for, and, through conversation and carefully observing our interests, quickly narrowed down what we wanted. His charismatic persona and knowledgable experience (as well as Shane Co's awesome warranty, exchange, and gem acquisition policies) has ensured we are going to be lifetime customers of this store. read more

I ended up buying my fiancé an engagement ring at Shane Co, and it was one of the greatest shopping experiences I've ever had. Marcus, the manager, was extremely helpful and helped us work out financing options we could afford. Nicole was very helpful and courteous both when I checked out and when I picked up the ring after having it sized and set. Julia helped me find a wonderful matching band and was also very helpful. I will probably never use another jewelry store in the future, because I will be using Shane Co from now on. Thank you guys so much for the great experience!! read more

I had such a wonderful experience at Shane co in Duluth Georgia on Steve Reynolds! I worked with two people: Cathy who was super sweet with explaining things to me and was very helpful! I also talked with Will, he helped me first over the phone by holding a band for me on lay away so that I could exchange the ring I ordered online. I will NEVER order online from Shane Co again I will ALWAYS go to the store! A big Thanks to these two people! I will highly recommend them to everyone I can! :) -VERY happy customer read more

I can say they are great. Previous jewelers have looked down on me in the past, I am not the typical purchaser of jewelry. Actually, my wedding set is all I will ever need. But Alisha didn't bat an eye! She took care of my repair, for free I must add, without the lecture of how I shouldn't work with my hands as such, putting my ring in such disregard. Thank you for treating me just like everyone else. I may not buy jewelry but I am around many who do. I have already sent three newlyweds your way! read more
