Just went in Same Co. I want to say up front that USUALLY we have a great experience here. The only complaint I've ever had is that for some reason over the past 10 years every time I ask for my email to be updated .. it never got done even though they did it each time I brought in jewelry to be inspected. Today though the very nice lady helping me explained that previously it looked as though they updated the email on only part of our account and not in a different place. She corrected it and it will now send me notifications. However. Today after leaving I noticed how loose one of my earrings were after driving out of the parking lot. It's a screw on back and hung loosely on my ear. I drove back and a different lady (Amber Ali) asked how she could help me. I told her it was really easy. I just needed a new screw back for my earring. That it was loose fitting. She said it wasn't. I explained that it hung loosely and she proceeded to argue over something that should have been a 2 min fix. I let her know that I've been wearing the earrings for years and she asked if I had it screwed in all the way speaking to me as if I was dumb. I let her know I'm 50 and have been wearing jewelry quite some time and yes I know how to screw the back of an earring in. She literally looked at me and said well I'm 51. At this point I just asked to speak to someone else. She got someone else and I wish I had gotten the name of her because it was the same nice very professional woman who helped me in the beginning with my cleaning and inspection of my diamonds. Initially, my husband and I just went to Shane's to look at rings and get ideas on what we may want. We never actually intended on buying anything from there. My engagement ring was custom made by a jeweler in New York, and we always said we wouldn't buy from a chain store. However, after stopping at this store specifically multiple times to look at rings, diamonds, and ask questions, we realized that the employees here are actually really nice, helpful, and personable. We found two perfect wedding bands that we really liked. The price was better than what we could've gotten from our custom jeweler as well. He even encouraged us to by from Shane Co instead. We ended up buying our rings here. I'm glad we did because now they even offer to look at and clean my engagement ring too even though it wasn't from them. But, the thing that topped off my experience most was my recent visit here. I came in 1 day before leaving for my honeymoon knowing there's no chance they could resize my husband's ring for us before we left. I simply asked them what's the wait time for a ring resize. One of the employees told me the wait is a few days right now. I told her nevermind and was getting ready to leave. She stopped me from leaving and asked me what I needed and told me maybe she could help me. I told her my husband needs his ring resized but I'm not sure what size he would need it. She helped me determine the size, told me she'd go to the back and see if they could do it- I thought I was just waiting on a response from her BUT when she came back out, she had the ring and it was all finished for me. I am writing this review with TEARS IN MY EYES. On Thursday, April 17, 2025, I took my wedding rings and my diamond necklace in for cleaning. (I will speak on the rings in another review). I went to the store on Saturday, April 19,.2025 to pick up my necklace with a diamond pendant. When my necklace was brought to me, it was only a chain with NO DIAMOND like I had when I brought the necklace in. The lady behind the counter questioned that I had a diamond in it when I brought it in for cleaning since the person who cleaned it did not put the diamond in with it. I saw the salesperson that I worked with on Thursday, who should have remembered that the necklace contained a chain and a diamond. He said and I quote, "Did the diamond get cleaned with the necklace?" In all the times I had my necklace cleaned there, they take the whole necklace as they did this time. They began waiting on me at 4:01pm. I was told there was no diamond with necklace. I was told by a salesperson that they were looking through video footage. It made me feel like a common criminal like I lied about the diamond. I ended up calling the police since the diamond that I brought there was now missing. It would be around 5pm before the diamond was found. I was handed an individual chain separately from the diamond. The diamond was not put back on the necklace nor put in a bag. I had my husband put the necklace on me, then we left. By this time, I was in full uncontrollable tears, and I am one who NEVER gets emotional. This is how we were treated after being with Shane for almost 32 years. All of our jewelry was purchased at Shane Co. ( original engagement ring, upgrade ring, necklace, diamond earrings, etc....) My next review will be on how I was treated when I went to them on the one carat diamond fell out of my ring that was under warranty from almost 20 years ago. read more

My husband and I brought in my wedding and engagement ring that we had purchased at another Shane Co location 8 years prior to be sized down and soldered to an additional band we had purchased online from Shane Co. The wedding band and engagement ring we brought in were already soldered together and sized to a 7 (as confirmed by a metal mandrel at home as well as local jewelers). We asked that all three rings be soldered together and sized down to a 6.75 as I have lost weight over the years. Several days later, my husband drove back to pick the rings up (it's a 2 hour drive one way), and they were not soldered together, so he had to wait for them to do that. When he arrived back home, the rings were sized down to a 6.25-6.5! I called the store to inform them of the mistake and the manager actually tried to tell me I might not know how they size rings and that the ring is, in fact, a size 6.75, but they would look at it if I mail it (the mail carriers where I live lose the mail often so I would not risk that even with insurance) or bring it back in so they could resize it while I wait. After taking it back in, they continued to insist the ring is sized to 6.75, however never would let me see it on their mandrels. They offered me a $50 consolation for the time and gas driving back and forth. After getting back home I checked the size again, and it is still 6.25-6.50 (confirmed by 2 separate local jewelers). The work was also sloppy and completely uneven. If I ask a local jewler to size it back up for me, it will likely void any coverage with Shane and cost me ~$150 to size up 3 bands 0.50 due to the cost of platinum. My original store is on the other side of the country, so I suppose my only option will be to wait until I visit that way again and have the original store re-size my rings to the correct size I originally asked for. Shane Co has been wonderful to work with over the years. Sadly, the Duluth location is either lacking in accurate sizing measurement tools or deliberately taking prescious metals from their customers. I would not trust the Duluth location with any of my jewlery or my business going forward. read more

My fiancée and I came in to find an engagement ring. We entered the store and Steven asked us what we were looking for and we stated an engagement ring. He then proceeded "to tell a joke" and state verbatim "You sure you're not looking for BBQ chicken or Ribs?" Seriously? Was that suppose to be funny? My fiancée knows what she wants down to the size, style, and cut and all he could talk about was how long he's been in the diamond industry, how he doesn't work off of commission, how Shane Co. has every diamond and every color of Sapphire imaginable and I'm like DUDE JUST SEE WHAT MY FIANCÉ WANTS AND LISTEN TO HER NEEDS. Stop telling us how great you are. You talk way to much about YOU and not the rings. He then had the AUDACITY to ask about budget in front of her BEFORE we even looked at rings AND after stating that we will be looking at every ring because you never know you might find something you like. Jared NEVER asked about budget in front of fiancé and I greatly appreciated that because guess what?? It's none of her business! She's the damn bride! My fiancé then explained she wanted lab made or Moissanite because it's more ethical then he began to preach on how it isn't and how its like a car where it depreciated (but you still buy the car right?). We told him we don't care value, she just cares about the look of the ring. Then he proceeded to preach more about how in Africa they still use tools that causes methane gas which hurts the ozone layer and said he would never sell a fake diamond. So we left! I've only been here once, but the service I received was pretty impressive. My finance and I went here just to get his wedding band re-sized because it was too big. He bought it in Miami and we have no plans of returning there just to re-size a ring. This Shane Co. is close to us and I saw they had decent reviews. As soon as we walk in you are immediately welcomed. I guess you should be since this store focuses on the sale of precious stones. We went in on a Monday afternoon, so there were not too many people in there, but all the sales associate were willing to help. We were assisted by Jason and he was really nice and helpful. He told us the prices of how much it would be to get the ring re-sized. It cost $48 to get it 1.5 sizes down from the original size. I'm guessing that price is average. Jason said it will take about two days for it to be completed. We were taken to the back of the store were they take care of all the "alterations" for the jewelry. You pay ahead of time and they give you a receipt with the pick up time. My fiance just picked up his ring this afternoon and it fits perfectly now! Even though I didn't go there to buy jewelry, I still looked around at their selection. If you're up for buying an engagement ring they have a nice selection of different varieties to choose from. *Side note: I like the complimentary goodies they have here! They had an assortment of cookies , mints, coffee and teas for your enjoyment. They looked really good, but I'm on a diet, so no cookies for me. Also if it's raining they have umbrellas by the door with a sign saying "Take a umbrella and just bring it back on your next visit!" Wow! That's pretty nice. I went to Shane's today on Satellite Boulevard in Duluth. I was looking for wedding bands for my fiancé and me. I also wanted to replace he center stone that had originally been set in my engagement ring. I was greeted immediately by Soo Young Wo, who was just finishing up with a couple. She asked me what I was looking for and promised to return soon to concentrate on me, which she did. I explained what I wanted for my rings, and she asked me a few clarifying questions. She quickly located exactly what I described, both in the wedding band and the center stone. She was very knowledgeable and answered my questions confidently. Next, I picked out a ring that I thought complimented my set for my fiancé. I went to wake him from his nap in the car so he could approve my selection. Soo Young had listened to me very well and had shown me exactly what I had asked for. I had therefore purchased the first ring and diamond she showed me. If she thought my fiancé would be just as easy, she would soon see that wouldn't be the case. My fiancé liked the ring I chose, but a relatively pricey platinum ring with 1.00 carat in diamonds had caught his eye. We could both see that he really wanted it, but that he felt guilty spending so much money on himself. She patiently showed him other, similar but less expensive rings for as long as he wanted to keep looking. He eventually suggested a flip of a coin to decide if he would buy the platinum and diamond ring he really wanted, or the white gold with smaller diamonds that looked almost identical but cost much less ring that she had taken the initiative to find for him. He went home with the platinum ring. I am sure Soo Young has never had a customer decide his ring purchase via the coin toss method, but she was very patient and a great sport about it. She never once seemed frustrated with his indecision or like she was rushing him. We enjoyed our experience at Shanes and felt that Soo Young enhanced it with her attitude. read more

Consider this a review for ANY Shane Co., multiple locations throughout Atlanta Metro. My experiences with Shane have always been positive. The prices aren't wholesale, but they aren't retail either. Very reasonable. The best part is their service, it's excellent. For diamonds, you have a lifetime warranty, whenever I bring our rings in for adjustment, cleaning, whatever...they are always very professional and polite. You can also trade in your stone at a later date and get 'full price' credit towards a larger stone, which is a great benefit since reselling a stone is always a rip off. She showed us a few items (no diamond center stones) and was very nice. I've come here for some time now and was initially hesitant to come based on all the hype for buying a stone- then having it set or just thinking I could not afford Shane Co. Completely impressed with this location! When I bought my first ring here, I brought my wife with me so we could make a joint decision on what to get. After all, she has to wear the ring the rest of her life ( or other). So we met with a sales associate, gave our budget range and he brought out just 2 stones. Something about picking out a stone brings the personal factor in, and you get to decide why is this one more expensive than "that " one. Great job as he brought 2 stones that were the same carat weight and size, just different C's. One was 3K and the other was 6K. Just for the center stone! We looked and he had picked some that were not that far apart from rookie diamond buyers and then showed us under the glass where to look for imperfections clarity. So we then had him bring 2 more, and compared those based on the first 2. These were 4 and 10K respectively. We ended on a 4K stone- now the ring and band. Lots of choices but we saw one on a poster and had them bring it out. WOW! What it does to bring it all together. The difference of the 10K stone and 4k stone to me was not visible and at least the salesmen were not pushing on the 10K or more stone but really try to educate you. Once I added the band, which had another 2 carats to it, we were nearly 8-9K total but what a ring! We picked it together- then I picked it up and we went to dinner for the proper proposal. All I can say if you are dropping $10K on a ring or pearls etc.., I vote take her with you if you have not been together all your life and make sure she likes it. Picking out a stone and building your own ring has its perks. All are happy with the purchase and she doesn't have to wonder if its fake!!! You know, I just wasn't that impressed with the selection or the service. I live pretty close to Shane Co and for years and years I've heard their commercials on the radio and dreamed about the day I would have a reason to go. So when the then-boyfriend, now-fiancé and I started having those super serious talks I realized that I'd never put a ring on my ring finger before and had no clue what I wanted on it forever and ever. We decided to go to Shane Co to see if I could get a better idea of what I might want. First, the sales guy went out of his way to tell us that they don't work on commission. I think he repeated it 4-5 times. Ok, we get it. Congrats. Second, he had me choose the settings I wanted to look at and then went through this totally rehearsed process of elimination. Never mind the fact that the setting I'd seen on the Shane Co website was the one i wanted to see, but he couldn't find it. And never mind the fact that they had nothing like what I wanted and that crappy salesman did nothing to try to find something similar to what I was explaining. The process of elimination exercise was silly and condescending. None of the sample settings were big enough to try on and i don't have enormous fingers. In the middle of looking the intial salesman passed us off to a junior salesman. I'm sure this was because he realized we weren't buying that day, but instead he told us that his best customer had just walked in and he needed to take care of him...ummm ok. Now don't get me wrong, it wasn't the dull personnel on the radio that broke my skepticism, but rather the employees at the Duluth location who has stuck true to Shane's philosophy. Julia who was my sales person helped me throughout my purchase and it was definitely in a low pressure setting. Not only that, she advised me to hold the diamond for 30 days until I am completely certain that their diamond is the diamond i want. Right now there is absolutely no regret in my heart and the peace of mind i have could not be exchangeable for couple of hundred dollars i might have saved. Several of my friends have gone to Shane Co to get their engagement rings and were very happy with the service. So when I finally decided to pop the question I knew I had to stop by and check it out. I shopped around other places like Jared too but I preferred how the sales people weren't pushy at Shane Co. Luckily my salesperson, Joe, was very patient, helpful, and informative through the whole process. The time between Christmas and Valentines can be difficult to find the perfect engagement ring because so many other guys are shopping for the perfect diamond too. Fortunately if Joe couldn't find it in the store he ordered them from other stores across the US. He would keep me informed about new arrivals via email which was very convenient and added a personal touch to the whole search process. Months ago I was gifted with a $50 gift certificate for attending a yelp event at the Shane Co. in Alpharetta and was very happily surprised that I found it stuffed in a nightstand drawer right after Christmas. The expiration date was 1/15 so I had less than a week to use it. The Shane co. off of Satellite was the closest to me, so I ended up there. I was first helped by a gentleman who showed me a few pearl earring/necklace set. I had saved a few items that I saw on their website, but almost none of these were available that day. After taking I guess more time than allotted, the sales guy passed me onto a younger, female sales rep. She was bubbly and nice, didn't pressure me into buying anything I didn't really want. Although their showcases dazzle with baubles, a lot of them are pretty pricey for what you get, or maybe it's just that I'm not that into jewelry like that. So I spent a majority of the time walking to each display case, but because of my budget, I was basically stuck at 1 display section. I ended up picking up a nice pearl bracelet and happily used my gift card, ending up paying less than $20 for it so yay me! read more

I love this place! The workers here are so friendly. They will assist you soon as you walk into the door & leave you satisfied over and over again. Their customer service has NEVER faltered. I got my ring here in July and love how pretty it is. It is truly the ring I have always dreamed of. They were able to know exactly what I want and keep me in the price range by exactly ONE DOLLAR below the budget. The quality of their rings are great compared to other places and they really do sparkle. I come here at least once every two weeks for a clean. I have gotten to know most of the workers here and every single one of them have been great. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to customize their ring. I order a pendent for my wife's birthday from the Shane Co website. I placed the order early on May 13 and paid for FedEx 2 day delivery. It is now May 18 and my wife still hasn't received her birthday gift. When I contacted customer service I was told that each purchase can take several days to process. This was never mentioned when ordering. Nevertheless the order shipped on May 14 so it should have arrived on May 16. Maybe this is more of a FedEx issue than Shane Co, but I got no appology, only a statement that the estimated arrival date was listed on the receipt email which I received after placing the order. I have shopped in their brink and mortar stores and have had great customer service. Like many retailers I think they have expanded online at the expense of customer service. read more
