In my experience, Shane Company has been nothing short of spectacular. When my fiancee and I first started looking at engagement rings, Shane Company was the first place my fiancee wanted to go. I'm not from Atlanta so I had never heard the ads or seen the commercials, and thought that if it was a chain, I didn't want to go there. I was SO wrong. After shopping around and only finding mediocrity within our budget, we finally made it to Shane Co. I was blown away. Within ten minutes I had found a ring that made Tacori rings look boring and overpriced. I didnt want to take it off! Then the sales rep walked us through picking out a diamond so we knew exactly what we were getting as far as quality, cut, etc. She made us feel so comfortable and did not push. (The sales reps don't get paid on commission, so their priority is your satisfaction and happiness, not a paycheck.) A month later when my fiancee proposed with that GORGEOUS ring, we realized that it was too big for my size 4 finger. I went in to Shane to have it sized, and because the ring is pave half around and it had already been sized down to a 4.5 from a 6, it couldn't be sized any more without causing the pave diamonds to pop off. So instead of putting in tacky sizing beads like some jewelers may have done, Shane Co offered to special order my ring in the correct size and reset my diamond in the new setting -- all for free. Without a doubt Shane Co is the best jeweler in the Atlanta area. Their service is outstanding and they have the best guarantee I have ever encountered. I can't say enough GREAT things about this store! More so I can't say enough about Chelsea! I should have left this review months ago which tells you how good my experience was! I was in the store 6 months ago for my 20th anniversary! On my anniversary! When I went in I didn't know what to expect, I was in work clothes that were dirty from the day and I was treated just like I walked in wearing an expensive suit! Chelsea started by asking some question which I didn't have answers to. All I knew was I needed a ring and I needed it that day! Chelsea educated me and guided me and put up with my indecision. I had used mall jewelers before but don't waste your money there! No matter what you're looking for or what your budget is this is where you need to go! Ask for Chelsea too! After 8 years of marriage, I decided to surprise my wife with a new wedding band and engagement ring set. Her original engagement ring has a fantastic diamond in it (if I do say so myself), but the rings bothered me. I had NOT purchased the original rings at Shane Co. and the craftsmanship wasn't up to snuff. I wanted my wife to have something that accurately reflects how special she is and my love for her. NICOLE understood that dynamic and expertly managed both my desire to "upgrade" my wife's rings AND my wife's specific ring design preferences and interests. While she definitely listened to both of us (which was a welcome change over other recent experiences) she REALLY listened to my wife. When my wife identified specific design elements she liked in different rings NICOLE would produce the next ring that included those elements. When a ring or set of rings had those elements, but wasn't exactly the RIGHT ring, NICOLE would find one that more closely resembled my wife's ideal ring set. Ultimately, when we were "close" but hadn't quite identified the RIGHT ring, NICOLE was able to go to the back and come back with exactly what my wife was looking for. She never pressured us. There were no "sales tactics," - just the experience Tom Shane promises on the radio. Let me say that again - NICOLE delivered on the promise Tom Shane makes every day on the radio. I came in to exchange a gift I had been given. The pearl earrings were way too big for my ear lobes. All I wanted is a store credit towards another purchase. The reason the earrings were bought there in the first place was because I said buy them there. Why? Because of their exchange policy. Well was I wrong. Come to find out pearls are exempt. The guy that waited on me said he would ask. He did and he said no. I then said... your loss because I was probably going to pick out a much more expensive item. I guess 75.00 credit was asking too much. The earrings were obviously never worn still in original packaging and with the back and paperwork they came with. Once I said I was going to probably purchase something much more expensive. He then asked me what my intentions were. I said I would've easily dropped another 200-300 dollars. At that point I felt like I was negotiating a car sale. Seriously can we just have some good old fashioned common sense customer service? I guess not. Shane Company you have lost a customer forever! Your loss. You are not doing me a favor when I come to spend my money at your location. The reason I like you is I thought you were a different kind of business. Guess I was wrong. I must start off by saying it takes a lot to get me to write a review. Either the service is incredible or it is horrible...I don't usually write ones for 'in the middle.' In this case, I can't say enough about the unbelievable customer service I received from Shane Co! I feel I really need to share my story so others will see how incredible this company is... When my husband and I initially got married 27 years ago, we didn't have a lot of money...so, my wedding ring was very small. I wore it proudly and my husband told me if we made it to 10 years he would buy me a rock. Well, we did and he bought me a very nice size diamond. I would take the diamond in from time to time for cleaning and inspection. Over the last few years I grew negligent in this area with my crazy travel schedule. However, I did notice the setting was loose so I took it in for inspection. It was fixed and I was on my way. Fast forward 7 months later...I travel a great deal for my job and I always have on my wedding ring. I don't take it off for anything. This in itself has its pros and cons.I am on a business trip traveling back to Atlanta from California on a red eye. I look down at my hand right before landing only to realize my diamond is GONE!!! I was devastated!!! I won't go into all the activity/tears that followed in trying to re-trace my steps and find it - just know there was a lot! On my way home from the airport it hit me that I had let my insurance policy on my jewelry expire. How could I be so stupid?! It doesn't cost that much...it was just me having a crazy schedule and not being responsible. I was devastated...it would cost over $10k to replace my ring... When I got home I looked at my ring closely and realized the diamond wasn't missing because of loose prongs or a broke prong...the entire setting was gone! The prongs - diamond, everything. Somehow the entire setting was compromised. This seemed crazy to me. I then looked at my warranty and it stated they would cover the item due to faulty workmanship. My husband told me good luck! I went into the local store in Duluth, GA and met with a manager by the name of Joe Gipe. I explained to him what had happened. He inspected my ring and said that hardly ever happens. He then looked at the last time I had bought my ring in for servicing and saw it had been within the 6-7 month time frame. Without hesitation, he told me they would replace my diamond as it did look like the setting failed. My husband's jaw dropped. They never tried to get us to upgrade, never tried to make us feel less than, only treated us with the utmost respect. Funny thing...we decided to upgrade on our own : ) I will never quit telling this story...Shane Co REALLY DOES STAND BEHIND THEIR WARRANTY. They didn't try to make it my fault...they do the right thing. I am now a customer for life and would highly recommend buying your precious jewelry from this company. My fiance and I came here to purchase our wedding bands. We had done some browsing online (to look at prices, styles etc) but this was the only brick and mortar store we went to. We were immediately greeted by a salesperson when we walked in (A random Tuesday afternoon) and the place wasn't too busy (maybe 3-4 other shoppers that we saw). We told the salesperson what we were looking for and he quickly pulled a few options for us to look at. There was no pressure, and the salesperson was easy to work with. We made our purchase (one trip, nice and simple) that same day. They do have a 60 day return policy, and they guarantee their products for life. I had to get my ring resized twice, all of that was included (no additional costs). They also had reasonable pricing for the resizing of my engagement ring (not purchased here) as well as for the cleaning my ring. As far as turn-around time, it took 24-48hours for resizing, not too bad. I will say when I came to pick up my rings (On a Saturday afternoon) it was a lot busier, and there was a bit of a wait on line for everyone. read more

My boyfriend and I went into Shane & Co. with super high expectations yesterday and were let down. Our salesman burst our bubble on what should have been a great experience. We walked in and were greeted with the salesman asking us why we waited so late in the day to come in, it was only 4:00. We came in expecting to look at rings, learn about diamonds, and get an initial price range so that my boyfriend can go later and choose. Not once did he say congrats you two this is super exciting, instead he belittled us. Pulled a few rings and said do you like it yes or no? No conversation was had around aspects that were liked or disliked. He made a lot of assumptions that were far from the truth. It felt like he saw two young kids that couldn't afford to be there. He told us this should be our last stop (because it was our first one) and we now know that it probably won't be. Definitely didn't feel like we had a friend in the diamond business. read more

If I were to buy my own engagement ring, I would go here. This store is huge and is much bigger than the Alpharetta location with way more selection. The sales people are highly educated and very helpful. I usually take all of my things to Nga (pronounced Nah) and she is always helpful. I have gotten my engagement ring cleaned, re sized, polished and dipped at this location and have nothing but positive things to say about all of the jewelers. If you are considering buying an engagement ring, birthday present, graduation present or anything like that, I would definitely stop in here to see what they have. He made sure we understood what we were purchasing, our options and the warranty as long as we keep up with the inspections, which we will. Absolutely horrible experience! I went to shanes with my boyfriend to get his opinion on wedding bands and engagement rings. It was our first place we stopped and was suppose to be a very special day. We were not greeted- it nearly took a staff member 20 minutes to greet us. The weekend before we were to travel to Cancun for our anniversary she reminded me and we went to several jewelry stores before ending up at Shane Co about 4P Sunday afternoon. (Now let me stop and say that the final ring choice would be up to me and she did not believe at this late date she would receive the ring for her anniversary.) We knew the style that we were looking for and Marcus directed us to several different rings in our desired style. We found one that made her eyes water and catch her breath when she tried it on. As she went to take care of my 17month old son's diaper needs, Marcus helped me make arrangements to purchase the ring and get it set in time to pick it up before we left Wednesday morning. When she returned we reviewed stones with me signaling to Marcus, from behind her, the one I decided on. With a nod and a wink we had completed our transaction by 4:45P. The ring was ready Monday night. I picked it up on the way home from work on Tuesday night. I visited the Shane Co. in Duluth as my best friend had gotten her engagement ring there and she had always commented how well she was taken care of. I was in the market for sterling silver hoop earrings as a Christmas present for my sister-in-law and spoke with Amber. She greeted me with a smile and was very helpful on selecting a pair of earrings. I also mentioned to her that I was interested in seeing some bands to wear as stackable rings and she showed me the ruby and diamond band I wanted to see. I purchased the ring and earrings. I returned to the store a couple of weeks later and again was greeted by Amber. I purchased two more rings to complete my stackable look and was very satisfied. Horrendous experience. On Saturday 2/23/19 went to look for new wedding ring set. Had been thinking about it for long time, and recent Cancer diagnosis and possible heart failure, and my 60 on horizon; my husband encouraged me to go. I don't usually do big purchase for me, but after finding the sweetest ring and patience of sales person and pondering, I made the decision to purchase ($2,000+). One delay was that I would have to have a set special ordered as set was small and delicate (and I am not). I agreed, though would not have for my bday in March. Was brought to back area for payment and guy (Matthew) that my sales person (Jeremy) took me to ruined the entire experience. He paid attention to nothing Jeremy said and completely misrepresented the entire order; goal, etc of order. This after I had paid. I had to repeat several things 2-3-4 times and he still did completely wrong and wanted to blame sales person. He was clueless and handling my money. Became concerned and cancelled the entire transaction (as I was already stressed-but willing to buy for this special occasion - I even discussed if guaranty would cover ring if I died for it to go to my daughter). I was so emotional, disappointed and left the store and cried. I left with no ring, and they have still not issued my credit for the purchase. The customer service at the front of the store for selecting your jewelry is top notch. However, go to the back of the store to request repair service, and you will experience a much different side of Shane Co. I wanted my wedding ring SIZED as it was too big for my finger. I quickly learned that it was the worst mistake I could have ever made. The sizing took several weeks. Not because the process takes that long but because my ring was ruined. First, to size the ring, the ring was cut and the cut piece of gold was kept and melted; devaluing the ring. Then, the first time I received my ring back and observed it. My ring was deformed. Every aspect of symmetry had disappeared. The job looked like a child's craft project with a soldering iron. I immediately brought it to the attention of the staff. Who surprisingly went into justification mode. Even after looking at it under a loupe, no-one, including the jeweler who repaired the ring, would acknowledge a problem right away. So, I demanded that this be fixed and a manager finally intervened. I was informed that I would receive a phone call in a couple of days to pickup my ring. After not hearing from someone for several days, I passed by the store and asked about the ring which was sitting to be picked up; no phone call. I was given my ring and to my dismay the problem still existed only this time the elementary classroom project looked more like a science experiment with metals and it's reaction to heat. The symmetry remained off and the now the space where a diamond sits looks as if the jeweler attempted to repair the symmetry issue with a dremel and a hammer. I handed the ring back and requested that the issue continue to be addressed. Again, I was told someone would call me. I waited a few more days and yet again no phone call. I proceed to call them and was told that the ring was not ready. So, I waited a few more days and passed by the store and again the ring was sitting waiting to be picked up. I was handed the ring. Would you believe? The issue was not resolved. However, this time the project had graduated to the college level and began to look more like it did when I first arrived. So, I handed the ring back and was told that at this point the top jeweler for the business would need to repair it. I wondered why that wasn't the approach the second time around. I was informed that it would take several weeks since the jeweler's schedule is unknown. Fortunately and yes the fourth time, I did receive a phone call and was requested to pick up the ring after two days. I arrived to Shane Co. went to the back and picked up my ring. The manager handled the transaction this time. The ring was never restored to its original symmetry but it was the closest and I was not willing to deal with Shane Co. anymore. By the way, the receipt for the transaction was never handed to me instead it was crumbled in my face and thrown out, no documentation. no evidence. I was not even given the courtesy of an apology, no compensation for any loss of material and/or time; zero remorse. I would say to all of you who chose to service your jewelry with Shane Co., at 3300 Steve Reynolds, Blvd. Duluth, GA 30096, "caveat emptor". For me, lesson learned. read more

We purchased my 11-year-anniversary Kentucky blue sapphire wedding ring with matching earrings at Shane Co. in Scottsdale, AZ. Four years later, we moved to Georgia, and the Duluth store has gotten my business (two sets of earrings). Not only is the gemstone quality great and the sales people not pushy, the customer service is excellent. I recently lost a small side diamond on my ring after a prong broke. I took the ring in for service, expecting to pay to replace the side diamond (after 6 years). Well, much to my surprise, the work was completed in 2 days (!), and when I picked up the ring, it looked brand spanking new. Even though I'm not a high dollar customer (the ring was not very expensive), they had redone the rhodium plating on the white gold ring, put in a replacement side diamond, fixed the prong, and polished the whole thing up to showroom quality. Wow! Best of all, no charge... Really, no charge?!? We also like that they offer to trade in your smaller gemstones for alternative ones later on, which is a heckuva deal. I really do have a friend in the diamond business. I've been shopping with Shane Company for most of my adult life. Yesterday my wife of 25 years and I visited again to purchase a sapphire ring for the occasion of our anniversary, and it was like visiting a time machine. The place never changes, when you walk in the door you are treated like the richest, most important, the only customer in the house. The salesman worked with us for close to two hours to pick out the right stone, the right setting. While we waited they cleaned her (Shane) engagement ring, took her ten year (Shane) anniversary band for a free re-sizing, and ordered in a couple of extra stones to compare with our sapphire selection that we can consider when we come to pick up our latest purchase next week. We left realizing that Shane Company is "our" place; I've looked at other nice jewelry stores but I have never found anything close to the combination of quality, reasonable pricing and amazing customer service. Everything you purchase is guaranteed for life with free cleaning, resizing and a full-credit trade option.
