Beware of the salespeople-they lie and are not ethical.

Jake, the owner of this business "forgot" about our first appointment meeting. I was willing to…read moreforgive that as we all have memory lapses from time to time. Turns out that should have been my first red flag. The second was when he gave me an estimate at our first meeting and then he called back and said he made a mistake and gave me another estimate almost $500 more than the first quote. The next time we talked it was another $200 more. But his estimate was middle of the road as I had gotten cheaper ones and more expensive ones so I went with them. It took Jake 3 days for what should have been a one day job. The first day, he just removed the wooden walkway to make way for the concrete to be poured. The second day, he ran out of concrete before he was a third of the way done and it was only an inch and a half to 2 inches deep. Standard is 3-4 inches deep as I understand it. It's also 2 different colors from the two different days' work and it's not level. He insists it is, but I'll need to wait for rain to see if the water pools in the middle of the walkway. He also dumped a pile of dirt onto the landscaping rocks and was just going to "rinse it down into the rocks". I put my foot down on that and insisted that he remove the dirt as it would be easy for weeds to take root in the dirt (there was fabric under the rocks to stop that.) He was also careless in removing the wooden walkway as he broke a panel off the door of my wooden fence. He said he would fix it but hasn't yet and won't return my texts or phone calls. While he was cheaper than many I got estimates from, I would have gladly paid more for a job done properly and did no damage to my property. I definitely would not recommend The Best Caulking and Restoration of Omaha for any kind of work. They are neither professional nor reliable.

Both were necessary to keep water out of our house. One was interior fixing and one required drilling out part of our basement to the bedrock and inserting piers to lift the front of the house. Sounds pretty expensive huh? Well that service and the other service were both priced way under what another very very popular water solutions company bid. In fact he showed us part of this other company's water system he pulled out of a house that continued to have problems. That sold me on the spot. I would rate this as 3.5 stars bc the price was great, installation went smooth but his team did make the house rather dirty and in the basement they covered NOTHING and all the kids toys and other things are now covered in dust. 1 year later I reviewing because we have had a lot of rain fall but nothing in the basement! Price and quality are definitely there, but I hope they improve their employees service.
