Within a couple days I was connected with and worked with Chris initially to recieve an estimate for repairs. He was really nice, communicated well and even contacted me for an earlier available time than scheduled due to an opening in his schedule. He arrived on time and was thorough with his estimate, even giving me additional information on some things I hadn't noticed or realized would become a problem in the future. He provided repair options for those items as well. He was able to get the final project scheduled reasonably quickly, and they had pretty manageable financing options that fit my budget also. Ivan and Issac were assigned to the actual repairs. They contacted me the morning of and let me know the approximate time they'd arrive, and they arrived on time. There were no deviations from what their work plan was and what I had requested. They worked quickly and finished in about two hours, completing repairs to a small section of sidewalk in front of the house and to the concrete patio at the back of the house. At the end, they provided some additional information for the 5 year warranty, and what to be mindful of during the next 24 hours. I requested my deposit back 10 days ago, when Groundworks didn't show up to do the work at my house. I was told it took 7-10 days to get my money back. The self described general manager at 402 251 5603 was to give me updates on the status of my money. He has not communicated for 7 days. I had also asked the manager who came to my house 10 days ago to keep me updated. Non communication from Groundworks is what caused the initial problem. Now it's continuing. I am a pastor, and I live in a parsonage. If you know anything about a parsonage, you know that every few years it gets new tenants and a lot of things get kind of pushed to the side or to be mentioned to the owners of the building, which is the church I serve. so I realize that we had some serious Tuckpointing issues with our front flower bed. I was familiar with Tuckpointing because the church that I was secretary of many many years ago used Tuck pointers to fix the brick on the church to repair the cracks and things. I got on Google , and found a site that looked safe filled in the information and then Scott from Groundworks called me set up the appointment and came yesterday to look at our brick. It turns out that the brick of the house is fine and doesn't need any repair and the brick of the flower bed just needs to be taken down and destroyed because it's not fixable . It would be fixable if we spent a whole lot of money we can't afford. what I really appreciate is from the beginning. I think Scott realized that he probably wasn't going to get any business from us, and yet he treated the job as if he was going to make the most money. He was efficient. He was accurate. He was kind. If I ever need tuck pointing, I will definitely call groundwork and I will ask for Scott if he's available. Christopher George met with us and recommended that we have a basement waterproofing/drainage system installed and also lift several sections of our driveway which were sloping toward the house. I had groundworks come out 2years ago to install beams and put in a gutter system/vapor wall. the first group that came out, did a horrendous job! the 8 beams they "installed" werent even attached properly. I only found out because they jackhammered through a pipe in my cement floor and I had to have a plumber come out to fix it! while this was being done, I asked how their gutter system actually worked because it was done in a way that looked like it wasn't going to let the water flow anywhere towards the pump. when the 2nd manager came out, he said the beams weren't attached correctly and that he would have another crew come out. also, my vapor barrier wall was put up by the first crew, with mostly white duct tape! it's falling down by the windows and looks terrible! after spending over $22000 on this basement , I still think this company should be ashamed of itself. lack of training/integrity could have caused HUGE damage and I still hate coming down here and looking at their mess read more

I was given a quote by the sales person who said what I wanted do could be lifted except the driveway cracks could only be sealed. Great, the team came out lifted two areas in the back and put some seal around those areas. Lifting the sidewalk didn't fix the pooling of water in the one area which is what I thought it would do. The front patio was not working eithe. The foreman stopped the work because he said it wasn't workin. He didn't attempt the front sidewalk because he didn't think that would work either. 10 days later I called the offices to see what the game plan was. A manager/supervisor came out said the job could be done to stablize the sidewalk out front to keep it from tilting more but it couldn't be raised without causing a tripping hazard. The drive way could be sealed to stabilize it. I didn't feel comfortable with his answers and I had agreed to let him do some of the front sidewalk. Because I would be canceling the contract. The cost of the areas he did the two square in the back would be charged my deposit of $1300 read more

Groundworks installed 9 piers to lift and stabilize the foundation of my home. (seven piers were installed from the outside of my home, two were installed from inside my home in the basement level) I am very pleased with the work done and with the employees. CJ came out first and deeply reviewed everything and gave me a thorough explanation of what was happening to my home and how they could fix it. Then after a 5-week wait, the workers - Rene , Martin and Daniel came to the home. Four days later everything was done! These guys worked very hard and cleaned up after themselves each day. They did a quality job and I'm now very confident in the stability of my home and foundation. I recommend them to anyone needing similar work. Note: The gals I spoke to in the Groundworks office were just as pleasant as the guys I met. They were all very easy to work with and were very pleasant people. Had them install a system to eliminate water in our basement. They did not share that after they ripped out walls, we are responsible for replacing them. In addition, they ripped out a section of wall they never said would need to be removed. They show up to do the work and then tell you what the salesperson said is wrong. It is in the contract small print, but one would expect the salesperson to share this in some detail, as it will be several thousand dollars to repair, and the contract is about 10 pages long. To be fair, it looks like it will work and they did a good job, I just do not like not like information being withheld. Be carefull, ask questions, and ask what will this look like when you are done. read more

We live in a Log home. After discovering we had a couple of concrete pillars sinking I called Groundworks. They were super responsive and returned my call immediately. I scheduled an inspection and confirmed my fears that I had a couple of pillars sinking. Groundwork's developed a solution and provided a competitive price. What really swayed me their direction was their customer service. They were not pushy and answered all of my questions. They also did not try to stack on other services. They were true problem solvers. On the day of repair, the groundwork's crew were prompt and courteous. They were led by Rene Renteria who was the foreman. He was awesome to deal with and thoroughly explained what was going on. The rest of his crew, Daniel Garcia and Isaac Saldana, worked extremely hard. There was no sitting around. They worked with a purpose and were extremely pleasant to deal with. At the conclusion of the fix, the crew ensured everything was back to normal and better than when they arrived. We contacted Foundation Repair/ Ground works to repair and level our patio and sidewalks around our home. We have never been so disappointed in a contractor. The salesman tells us they can provide a service and explains the process. What we got is something very different. The patio looks awful. the installers were very friendly until I started asking questions. Then I got a bunch of curt answers. They sprayed foam all over the patio and house and what they did try to clean up is a huge mess. They were very messy. We were told by the salesman that the cracks would be filled, and the joints would be grouted, everything would be sealed. Things are sealed and the rest looks terrible. When I contacted the sales manager, he came to the house looked at the work, blew up my skirt about how he would do what he could to make us satisfied and was never heard from again. Terrible communication between installation and sales, no one takes responsibility for the subpar work. What the heck... they got their money; they couldn't care less if the customer is happy. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! read more

My driveway had a couple of slabs that had sunk a couple inches below the slabs next to them. Other slabs had large cracks in them. I called Groundworks to get a quote to repair (replacing would be too expensive at this time). I got what I thought was a good deal on a price and was scheduled for a week out. The person doing the work, Mike, called ahead to say when he'd be arriving and showed up at that time. He explained what he was going to do, gave me a status about half way through with the leveling of the slabs complete, and then did a walk through after the cracks were all repaired. I'm very happy with the results. If/when it snows again it'll make shoveling much easier *and* there won't be small forests growing up through the cracks in the driveway. Thanks! read more

The sales man was pushing us to sign a contract and the price he was quoting ended up being more than double what other local companies offered.
