Their materials are quality, and Tyler was the only estimator who took time to discover a foundation crack outside the garage from street creep, and determined the garage is sinking enough to start to keep an annual check on it. In August 2022, we hired Thrasher to fix sinking concrete around our home. The sales rep convinced us to buy their "clog-free" "Rain Drop" gutter guards so my husband--a 100% disabled veteran--would never have to risk climbing onto the roof again. The rep also left a "jerry-rigged," unfinished downspout wrapped around our chimney before being fired. For four straight years, the concrete work failed. Thrasher sent a different manager to our house every year (2023, 2024, 2025, 2026), each offering a different excuse. Finally, this year, a Thrasher representative told us our concrete warranty was essentially void because our gutters were "insufficient." When we asked why they installed "clog-free" guards on a broken gutter system four years ago, they flippantly told us, "We aren't a gutter company, we just sell the guards." We had to hire an independent company to tear off Thrasher's product. They took shocking photos showing our gutters packed with mud, roof grit, and leaves. The "clog-free" guards were acting like a lid on a trash can. Thrasher knows they are in the wrong--they have offered us a partial refund of $9,200 for the concrete. But they are refusing to give back the rest of our money for the gutter guards because they claim the product "works." They actually told us we should have called them to come out and clean out the gutters. How would we have known this unless we climbed up to check them. We have the contracts and the photos of the choked gutters, with a menagerie of Thrasher's broken promises. We want to hold them accountable, so they don't do this to another veteran family.

Turns out that should have been my first red flag. The second was when he gave me an estimate at our first meeting and then he called back and said he made a mistake and gave me another estimate almost $500 more than the first quote. The next time we talked it was another $200 more. But his estimate was middle of the road as I had gotten cheaper ones and more expensive ones so I went with them. It took Jake 3 days for what should have been a one day job. The first day, he just removed the wooden walkway to make way for the concrete to be poured. The second day, he ran out of concrete before he was a third of the way done and it was only an inch and a half to 2 inches deep. Standard is 3-4 inches deep as I understand it. It's also 2 different colors from the two different days' work and it's not level. He insists it is, but I'll need to wait for rain to see if the water pools in the middle of the walkway. He also dumped a pile of dirt onto the landscaping rocks and was just going to "rinse it down into the rocks". I put my foot down on that and insisted that he remove the dirt as it would be easy for weeds to take root in the dirt (there was fabric under the rocks to stop that.) He was also careless in removing the wooden walkway as he broke a panel off the door of my wooden fence. He said he would fix it but hasn't yet and won't return my texts or phone calls. While he was cheaper than many I got estimates from, I would have gladly paid more for a job done properly and did no damage to my property. I definitely would not recommend The Best Caulking and Restoration of Omaha for any kind of work. They are neither professional nor reliable.

We hired Shamrock Waterproofing to address two water problems we were having: an exterior basement…read morewall leak, and also a leak where our tile roof meets the chimney. Dave was very knowledgeable and helpful in explaining our problems. He then gave us an estimate we were happy with and scheduled someone to come out to do the work. Rick redirected a gutter that was causing the basement leak (even painting the gutter it to match!) Then, he found the two holes causing our roof/chimney problem. He thoroughly explained what the problem was and then did an excellent repair with concrete, black jack and mesh. Then after everything was done--he fixed an additional leak that he found on the tile roof of our sun porch! It is so refreshing to find someone who addresses a home repair problem completely, efficiently and very reasonably. We will definitely refer this company to our friends!
