He arrived on time and was thorough with his estimate, even giving me additional information on some things I hadn't noticed or realized would become a problem in the future. He provided repair options for those items as well. He was able to get the final project scheduled reasonably quickly, and they had pretty manageable financing options that fit my budget also. Ivan and Issac were assigned to the actual repairs. They contacted me the morning of and let me know the approximate time they'd arrive, and they arrived on time. There were no deviations from what their work plan was and what I had requested. They worked quickly and finished in about two hours, completing repairs to a small section of sidewalk in front of the house and to the concrete patio at the back of the house. At the end, they provided some additional information for the 5 year warranty, and what to be mindful of during the next 24 hours. Overall very painless process with very professional individuals. 10/10 would recommend at this point.

While I have always heard snide small comments about Thrasher, they've been good to us and did great work on the old house. We have been using them for 17 years. For this house, they have come out yearly the last 7 years, just to check sump pump and perform annual maintenance, we have never had issues. So.....imagine our shock and surprise when they come back with an estimate of $36,000 because "your house is sinking" - the technician used terms "aggressiveness of the cracks, damage, settlement to that right back corner of the house, and active movement" in emails. The "aggressive" cracks that the technician referred to, that are causing "damage" have been reviewed by Thrasher yearly, last done 06/2024, and we were always advised that they are nonstructural and are no cause for concern. The following week, we have had 3 (three) 2nd (second) opinions / estimates completed by 3 separate companies that specialize in waterproofing and foundation repair as well as are BBB (Better Business Bureau) accredited. ALL 3 companies, concluded that absolutely no work needs to be done on our house, that it is not settling (or sinking as the tech verbally said), all measurements are level, there is no interior issues/cracks, and that any foundation cracks that are there, are small/nonstructural and are no cause for concern and they definitely are not aggressive. I spoke to the technicians manager who stood behind the techs assessment and asked me to follow up after we got a 2nd opinion. I emailed the above to him on 6/25/25 with no response. So....I no longer support Thrasher and they have lost a loyal customer. I strongly encourage that if you do support them, to get a 2nd opinion before you sign any contracts with them.

Turns out that should have been my first red flag. The second was when he gave me an estimate at our first meeting and then he called back and said he made a mistake and gave me another estimate almost $500 more than the first quote. The next time we talked it was another $200 more. But his estimate was middle of the road as I had gotten cheaper ones and more expensive ones so I went with them. It took Jake 3 days for what should have been a one day job. The first day, he just removed the wooden walkway to make way for the concrete to be poured. The second day, he ran out of concrete before he was a third of the way done and it was only an inch and a half to 2 inches deep. Standard is 3-4 inches deep as I understand it. It's also 2 different colors from the two different days' work and it's not level. He insists it is, but I'll need to wait for rain to see if the water pools in the middle of the walkway. He also dumped a pile of dirt onto the landscaping rocks and was just going to "rinse it down into the rocks". I put my foot down on that and insisted that he remove the dirt as it would be easy for weeds to take root in the dirt (there was fabric under the rocks to stop that.) He was also careless in removing the wooden walkway as he broke a panel off the door of my wooden fence. He said he would fix it but hasn't yet and won't return my texts or phone calls. While he was cheaper than many I got estimates from, I would have gladly paid more for a job done properly and did no damage to my property. I definitely would not recommend The Best Caulking and Restoration of Omaha for any kind of work. They are neither professional nor reliable.

Dave was very knowledgeable and helpful in explaining our problems. He then gave us an estimate we were happy with and scheduled someone to come out to do the work. Rick redirected a gutter that was causing the basement leak (even painting the gutter it to match!) Then, he found the two holes causing our roof/chimney problem. He thoroughly explained what the problem was and then did an excellent repair with concrete, black jack and mesh. Then after everything was done--he fixed an additional leak that he found on the tile roof of our sun porch! It is so refreshing to find someone who addresses a home repair problem completely, efficiently and very reasonably. We will definitely refer this company to our friends!
