I've been coming here for YEARS so I think I'm qualified to leave a thorough assessment. First off, let me say this: Quite a few of the negative reviews are from people who are salty because Shamrock wasn't accepting new customers. Are you serious? Do you also get upset when doctor's offices don't accept new patients? ‍ This isn't a restaurant turning down a potential customer or a grocery store telling ya you're not allowed. Believe it or not, there are some businesses that have their own procedures when it comes to accepting new clientele. Get over it. People and their sense of entitlement. Now, to their service. I always walk-in which means I haven't used the drive-thru before so I can't give a knowledgeable opinion on that but their staff has always been great to me. Like any business, some employees have more personality than others but none of them have ever been mean or unkind to me. Not only that but my clothes are always cleaned to a "T" and done precisely the way I requested. I just brought in a very bright blue blazer that I managed to spill some grease on. They completely eradicated the stains. No lost buttons or shrinkage with any of my items. If Shamrock is accepting new customers, which you can always call beforehand to find out, then they are most definitely going to get your clothes clean. read more

Extremely disappointed with the service at Shamrock Cleaners. I left an item with them for approximately a month and repeatedly received text messages stating that it was ready for pickup. However, every time we arrived, we were told the item was actually not ready because it "wasn't up to their standards." We were then promised it would be completed the following week, only to continue getting the runaround. As of today, after all this time and inconvenience, we were simply told to come pick up the item and that we would be refunded. The lack of communication, wasted trips, and failure to complete the service after an entire month was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. I gave Shamrock Cleaner a second chance, and I totally regret it! One time when I used them, they lost my brand new $195 dress. The employee at the time said the owner would call me. I never received a call back, explanation, or apology. That alone should have been enough for me not to return, but I decided to give them another opportunity. This time I brought in a black men's suit that needed to be cleaned before we left the state for a funeral the next day. I specifically explained the situation and was told it would definitely be ready by 4 PM, which was also stated on my ticket (see photo). When I arrived to pick it up, I was told it wasn't ready and they hadn't even cleaned it yet. After explaining again that we were leaving for a funeral, I asked for the suit back. It took quite a while for them to bring it out. What was most disappointing was the complete lack of professionalism. There was no apology, and no acknowledgment of the inconvenience--both this time and the previous time when they lost my dress. Customer service matters, especially when people trust you with valuable clothing and time-sensitive situations. Service is not nearly what it used to be - Brought 4 items of clothing and 2 were ruined. I have spent hours in store, driving to pick up, trying to resolve and issue on two pieces of new clothing. I stood in the store, left a message for the owner via phone (10/30/2025) texted a complaint and last sent through the website "contact" . I have heard zero from Tony. The dress I picked up had neon yellow stains from a chemical they used on it - that is how they gave my dress back to me and required payment. After it was left to redo for next day pick up, I went back the following week to wait nearly 30 minutes while they looked for my lost dress. Guess what?! It wasn't cleaned again. I went back again the next day to pick up and a dress worn once, still showing the outline of stains that they caused from a chemical used. I am frustrated at the lack of response. As well as the complete unprofessional front staff there, manager included that let me wait without letting me know what was happening. After 25 years of using this cleaner, I will be moving on. read more

Been using Shamrock for years. They have transitioned to a self-serve business model from a full-service business model so the notion of customer service is no longer present. They are obnoxious about pushing you into self-service whether that is your preference or not. They have invested heavily in automation, which may or may not be a good thing. Consequently, they have substantially raised prices. Shamrock is quite expensive for "self-service." For reasons mentioned in previous post, they periodically lose track of items. I have come close but never "lost" any items. I do not trust that they will correctly clean and return all of my items. Also, there is no longer a way to point out any items that may need a bit of extra attention. On my last visit and I do mean the last visit I asked the lady at the counter to count my items and issue a receipt. She asked another employee to please assist me in counting my items. ( she was handling the drive-thru so no issues there) This lady responded that because my items were in a bag I should drop my items in the collection cart because "that is an extra step and we don't do that anymore." I promptly left and will not return. It was a rather unpleasant customer experience. read more

It's close to my home and they're usually quick so I used them often. After this incident, however, I will find another cleaner. I dropped off 4 items on Feb. 9. I went back on the 11th and they couldn't locate my items. Apparently the computer was down, and nothing registered. They asked me to give item descriptions but I could only remember 2. They said they'll call me back if they find them (and the other 2). I was out of town for a few days, but I didn't hear back. I called again on Feb. 17 and gave a full description of the 4 items. The person I spoke to didn't have a clue about what had already happened. Feb. 18, I called again because I need those items before leaving town on the 23rd. They promised they'd find the items before Tuesday (22nd) and call me. I called again on the 21st at 11:30am. Whoever was in charge of finding them items was in the meeting, and I was told he would call me back. I didn't hear back until 3pm so I decided to go into the store. The front person had no clue what I was talking about and the manager tried to look for it on their computer, although I said it wasn't on the system. Finally around 4pm I got a call that they found the items. They didn't charge me for them, but I can't believe that this took so much effort from my part. And only today they apologized. No apology when I called multiple times and the first time I visited. How can you misplace someone's clothes that were needed about 2 weeks ago and be so not-apologetic and slow about it? Let's start with the Pros: Clothes came back clean They have a drive thru if you are into that sort of thing Next day turn around (sort of) Now on to the cons: Expensive! My 4 items came out to about double what I expected. Next Day turn around So I dropped of 4 items and was told everything would be ready the next day after 4 PM. Show up at 5PM the next day and only half of my stuff was ready. Show up at 5PM the next day and everything is ready. No problem, stuff happens and I can understand a delay. I paid for my stuff and was floored by the price. Overall, they do a good job of cleaning, but it's really pricey. If you value a drive through or it's right next to your house/work then probably a good choice. If not, might want to look elsewhere. read more

I brought my wedding dress to shamrock and they did an amazing job! Jamie was super helpful and answered all my questions. When I came in to pick up my dress once it was ready Jamie remembered me. Just because you can buy a business doesn't mean you can operate it. Before the recent sale of Shamrock to new ownership it was my favorite cleaners. I've lived all over Florida and they did the best with Tommy Bahama silk camp shirts. The new organization continues to finish collars crooked, finishing pajama collars like dress shirts and using sizing on silk. Just to name a few. Last week my wife went in and TOLD them how to clean these $150 shirts. All but one came out screwed up again. I can't afford these mistakes. Did everyone formerly working for Shamrock quit? So I'm going in Monday and requesting a refund and will fire them. Do not take nice clothes to these people. read more

I was in Tallahassee on vacation and required some items to be cleaned and found this location. This cleaners has a drive through service so I didn't even have to come out of my vehicle. I pulled up and was greeted with a warm smile and welcome. The employee collected my items and information. As I waited for my receipt I was offered a bottle water and cookies...which was a nice touch. When I returned the next day, I received the same great welcome along with my nicely pressed clothing. The manager Tony happened to be around and I mentioned this was the best experience I had from a dry cleaning service. Kudos to Tony and his team at Shamrock Cleaners. I have tried almost all the dry cleaning places in this city and can finally say that i found the best one . . . . . and not because its the only good one. I really hate wrinkles. I feel that if you take your cloths to the dry cleaners that they should be returned to you completely wrinkle free. This has never been the case with any other dry cleaners in Tallahassee. Although this location is pretty far from the center of town, it is definitely worth the drive. They have really friendly service with a quick turnaround (usually have my 9 shirts and 2 pants ready for me the very next day). Their prices seem to be reasonable around $2.50 for a shirt and $5 for pants or a sweater. Why risk paying for wrinkles . . . . . take your cloths to the right place the first time. read more

We've tried so many dry cleaners in Tallahassee, and always end up back at Shamrock. It's the only place I trust with my clothing, and they even cleaned my wedding dress! They aren't the cheapest place in town, but keep in mind the cheapest place in town used dirty water and ruined a ton of my clothing. Sometimes paying a little more for quality service is worth it! I read some of the reviews that complained because they aren't taking new customers. I personally see that as a bonus- this means that they are making sure they don't get overwhelmed and can continue their quality service. The woman who answered the phone asked if I had been there before, when I said no she said they were not taking any new customers, she then offered to put me on the "waiting list" then asked me if I wanted the pricing. They are amazing! From their services to customer service, they are top notch. Their drive thru service is the best I've used. Always a friendly greeting and usually a cold bottle of water. On occasion, a candy too! They learn your name and face and treat you well. My husband happened to go pick up on his way home from work. He didn't realize they had closed twenty minutes earlier. The owner delivers his clothes to the car with his typical friendly demeanor and when my husband apologized for the time, the owner said it's all about the customer. I had brought in two pairs of khakis, and 5 shirts (a mix of button down short sleeve, and polos). I asked for dry cleaning of all because I did not want any shrinkage. When I got my clothes back everything had shrunk, and I've never wore those clothes again. I blamed myself for not telling them that I did not want any shrinkage, they told me dry cleaning was not possible on any of the shirts cuz they don't dry clean polos or the short-sleeve button-downs. Still, I was upset over the fact that clearly what they did was had my clothes laundered, and dried in a dryer. I could have done this myself instead of paying them $30 to do it, but I took the blame on this one and didn't make a big deal of it. Then the next time I came in with three pair of brand new khakis and for polo shirts, and they said they couldn't dry clean everything but they would put notes on the clothes to make sure they were not dried in the dryer, and they did perfectly the first time. The second time I brought these clothes in, they came back all shrunk, once again they dried my clothes and ruin them by shrinking them. If you told me O'Brien's Shamrock Cleaners would give me a free year of cleaning service I would tell you to keep it, you could not pay me to walk into that business again. Excellent service and consistently good cleaning. I've been in Tally for over 30 years and have been to about 4 different dry cleaners. Everyone told me to go here and after a run in with a less than polite owner of another dry cleaner, I listened. Will not be going anywhere else. This is by far the worst dry cleaners that I have been to. When I had a problem, the manager was incredibly rude to me and in front of the other customers in the building. A brand new dress was brought in and it was completely destroyed when returned. The manager, rather than being diplomatic about taking responsibility for the accident, blamed me for purchasing the dress in the first place because it was a delicate item. I have been using Shamrock for a few years after leaving three other dry cleaners in the area due to oil stains on our clothes and frequently missing items. They are extremely reliable. They get the job done on time. Only once did we have a missing item. They found the item and notified me within a day. The option to drive through or park is wonderful. I've been with Shamrock through two owners but one of the main reasons I stay is because of the staff. The ladies who great me and process my orders are wonderful. They are professional, friendly and always remember my name. They are quick, efficient and conscientious of each customer's time. Shamrock would not be the same without them. There have been some changes in the packaging of the clothing since the new owner has taken over and that may be the reason for the line at times but I believe they are all doing their best to keep being the best dry cleaner around. My mom recently started going to O'Brien's and I had a few things to add to her pile. Our items have come back in great condition and the staff is wonderful. The woman that I believe to be the owner was VERY helpful in my recent trip. I have a handmade quilt that I created a few years ago out of old sorority t-shirts that has been sitting in a plastic pin for a couple of years and as I am packing to move decided I should get it cleaned. I brought it in along with a winter coat and they make sure to check all labels and verify that they can clean them before taking them. After looking over the quilt and discussing with a man in the back, she said that they could not dry clean the quilt. She explained the process and how it would likely destroy pieces of the material and urged me to never let anyone convince me that it could be dry cleaned. I appreciated her honesty and the loss of a sale on her part to take care of my quilt. She recommended that I just store it in an air tight bag and use a lint roller on it should it get a little linty or have dog hair on it. She then gave me a bag with a few dryer sheets in it and helped carry my other items to the car. I really, really appreciated her assistance and will be recommending our friends there. I don't have a good sense of dry cleaner's prices but for 2 down blankets, 2 suits, and a heavy coat it was $50. read more

GREAT (caps intended) customer service! After finding that the Laundromat I normally used to wash my quilts/comforters had closed, I decided to take the quilt to O'Brien's to be cleaned. They always do a good job dry cleaning my clothes, so I figured they would do the same for this. What made this drop special was their suggestion that they call me as soon as the quilt was ready for pickup ( I really wanted to get it back before I left town if at all possible). I took a brand new pure white blazer in this week for cleaning. I had only worn it a couple of times, and it had zero stains -- I simply wanted it to be refreshed. I picked it up today, and the blazer was no longer white. It was a dirty off-white color with big, visible stains all over it. I was aghast. What's worse, they put a sticker on it that said something to the effect of "sorry we couldn't get these stains out." There were no stains until it got into their hands! The people there were nice, but I do not trust the business anymore. This was a straightforward dry cleaning job, and now I'm having to throw away a new blazer. It is not wearable.
