Gabi is an angel! I stepped in here almost at 6 PM, having no idea that at 6 PM they close their wash-dry-fold services. The website, the only thing I dislike about Wash Around the Clock, is not very user friendly, so I went hoping to get lucky and I did, but that was only because Gabi took pity on me and my two bags of clothes. Believe me I felt bad, but she with a smile took my clothes, charged me and explained the process (as would you believe I've never paid to let someone do my laundry?), and gave me my receipt. I wound up seeing her two days later when I picked up my clothes during my lunch time and thank goodness I went when I did. I apparently missed the sign that said that they take lunch from 1-2 PM. All that said, I was so happy with my clothes. They were squeaky clean and folded better than I could ever fold them. Then again, I'm admittedly not the most domestic of women, as my partner is more on top of things than I am and his current project is fixing our dryer, which will happen eventually. I say eventually as we are constantly on the go, and I know me, even with the dryer fixed, I may still from time to time pay to get my clothes laundered now that I see how amazing this feels. I mean, 20 pounds of clothes were $30ish dollars, and while I could do laundry myself, this saved me so much time and for that I am forever grateful. I will say though that if you're like me and have no idea about the hours to see the attendant, I only know about the weekdays attendant. Gabi's hours are 8 AM-6 PM with lunch from 1-2 PM. Not sure if this is just a laundromat thing, but every time I come here, it is incredibly hot. You'll also have to run the dryer many many times in order to get your load all dry. Other than that, I do like this place. Staff keeps it relatively clean. They could use some more metal laundry carts too-- something to keep in mind if you go during a busy time. read more

I put my rugs in one of the double washers and selected hot water. The rugs were dry the entire wash cycle. I told the older male attendant, and he just said they'll be clean with just the rinse cycle. He said if you choose hot water, some machines won't put out any water in wash cycle. What??!!! Asked to use the restroom she told me that it was for customers only which I replied that I am a customer. she then said I had to be an active customer. Went to this Wash Around The Clock on West Tharpe Street for the first time today. Took a total of 4 items in. 2 tops & 2 pairs of pants. I thought this is supposed to be 0.40 a pound. The lady i spoke with - Gaby instantly said $22.50 for wash, dry, fold services. The lady I spoke with - Gaby also said they do not do dry cleaning anything like that. The items I dropped off did not need to be dry cleaned anyway. I looked at the care instructions yesterday. She said they would be ready by Thursday 03/27 & that i would get a text message letting me know that the items were ready for pickup. read more

Several machines out of order, and insanely expensive. 9 dollars for a large washer, and you have to pay a dollar for the required card. You can only put money on the card in increments of 10, so they are making money off the extra dollar you're required to load onto the card for even increments of 10. read more

I haven't been to many laundry service but this place seems pretty cool. Very clean and open floor space allowing for a lot of machines. Instead of coins the machines work ob a card system. If you look up on the wall there are big arrows that say "START HERE" I didn't see them so I went to an attendant. Very kind lady walk Me through it. Pull in $1 and receive a card. Then take the card and load money. (card is free so you start with $1 credit). Not sure how new this is (but it was new to me)! While you wait take a seat and watch one of 6 flat screens around the facility. Clothes were cleans. Dryers were ok. Good place! read more

Very good laundry mat. Pretty clean. The 2 attendants were very nice and helpful. Lots of machines. All working well. My washer was $4.79 for 26 minutes. It was a larger machine. My dryer was $0.52 for 10 minutes and Wes's extremely hot. I only had to use one dryer cycle. Large place. Get there and get your laundry done. I did notice they had another side for wholesale such as restaurant linens hotel lines etc - very impressive and they had some vehicles parked on location as well. read more

This is a pretty darn good laundromat! The room is very large and there are tons of machines for a lot of people. What i like about this place is that they take credit card. It is $1 to get a wash card, and then you fill it up with money either by cash or with your credit card. They have single, double, triple, and magnum load washing machines. Then there are the stack and commercial sized dryers. You can wash clothes, sheets, comforters too! Washes range from $2 for a small load to $7 for a super size. Then to dry it is 39 cents for 10 minutes. The price seems a bit high to me, but for the cleanliness of this place and how safe I feel compared to other laundromats out there, I do not really mind. Another good thing is that this place is open 24 hours a day! Free Wifi as well! Now get washing! read more

Love the huge loads that can be washed, and that you can switch to a small machine for smaller loads as well. Plus the laundry carts are nice and sturdy. Some places, they can be rickety. I was impressed by they're lighting on the Tharpe location, if I need to go at night BAM I went this past weekend and although it was super busy, I got a few loads done. If you want less crowds, stick with the weekdays. Otherwise, I've always liked the Tharpe location better or it just be more convenient for me. :) read more

This place has gone down over the years. The cleanliness is disgusting, the restrooms, floors, tables, and parking lot are filthy. One of the main staff members that's usually here during the afternoon has the most disgusting and lazy attitude. Consistent malfunctions with the washers and dryers. There are currently 21 dryers out of service and several dryers with clothes inside for hours. There are several transients hanging in front of the property. COVID is no longer an excuse for the poor condition of this business and its staff. Would not recommend this business. read more

Hidden gem. I live in a rental house and my washing machine broke, which means I have to wait for the property management people to get it fixed which could take a long time. Needed laundry done so I brought it here for the drop off wash/fold service. For $50 they washed 40+ lbs of my laundry. Towels and clothes. Easily would have been 4-5 loads if I would have done it at home. Everything came out great and I love that I got to pick my own detergent. Couldn't be happier. read more

The best thing they have going for them is their Free WiFi...What can I say? As a grad student, I am a sucker for free WiFi. However, be ready with a full battery since plugs are few and far between and you might just have to fight someone to get in a seat with access to one. Good quality machines, user friendly, relatively clean place. Small load is ~$3 so not the most affordable place but plenty of machines available in a mid-day Sunday visit so can't complain there. The facility is nice and clean. Everything is good except for an Ahole Indian man who I'm guessing is the manager. He was very disrespectful and rude. Angry and demanding. He pulled up to my car came out to my car and told me rudely to put the cart back, I told him I will I had more clothes in the dryer. I used their laundry service when we were out of a washer and dryer, and they were fantastic. You can place your order online or in person, and you can choose the detergent as well as whether they use fabric softener and how they finish the clothes. When i arrived here to Tallahassee, i forgot the awesome prices comparitively towards those spots that are there in jacksonville Beach. After my washer at home broke I made a visit to my local laundromat, while there one of my 3 washer's didn't work properly and a very helpful young man assured me he would get me another washer at no additional charge. Once I got my clothes into another washer he directed me to the front counter where the manager Gabby would fill my card with the $4.79 for the washer. Once at the counter Gabby was very rude and basically didn't give me the money for another washer I actually had to end up paying for another washer myself. read more

Came to this location to do my laundry at 7am. Put my debit card in the machine since they use "wash cards", to transfer $10 to the wash card. Money taken out of my account, but NO money put on the wash card. All this with my laundry sitting in the machine, covered in liquid, with no attendant until 8am. Waited until 8am when the attendant came in, and was told there was nothing they could do since they had no proof I had put the money on the card. Seriously?? I sat for an hour, and now I have to load my dirty detergent soaked laundry back in the basket? The attendant was totally rude and could care less I had sat for an hour and after all this had an attitude? NEVER coming back to this place again. And that is after I have used this place for five years and never had a problem until now with rude customer service and a laundry card machine that won't load money you put on it.
