Honey and lavender latte tastes like Spring! This place has a great selection of creative lattes and a comfortable place to enjoy your drinks. There are cozy chairs and many tables to work from. I also noticed there was a fire place while I was here, but it wasn't on at the time. Nonetheless it added to the cozy vibe. I would happily visit this place again the next time I'm in the area. I drove by and immediately wanted to stop in. I love trying local coffee shops. They are setup in an old car shop. They only had one person working and she was busy but super nice and helpful. She did her best to work quickly and was friendly to everyone. They have a ton of drink options: espresso drinks, iced and hot coffees. I tried the flight (see attached). My mom got the peanut butter mocha (buckeye mocha I think) and really liked it. My favorite by far was the coconut rose. There was burnt coconut on top. The honey lavender was good too. I love spicy drinks (hot cocoas, margaritas, etc) but the spicy mocha was too spicy. I didn't finish it. Also, I'd note that four drinks was too much for me. Admittedly it wasn't my only coffee of the day but I think it was a little more than I needed. read more

It's 82° out and there is no other place I'd rather be than sitting here at Shale Craft Coffee with a really good cold brew, the bay windows open, a cool breeze blowing and a good book. I typically don't get cold brew coffee because many places don't do a good job brewing the coffee but this cold brew is really good. At the time of this review Shale is serving Deeper Roots coffee from Cincinnati who does a great job roasting craft coffee. Shale uses a La Marzocco espresso machine but I'm not sure what the brew batch brews with. Their menu has coffee drinks, non-coffee drinks, espresso drinks, signature drinks, and pastry items. The decor industrial and rustic. I love the patio and bay windows letting in lots of light and expanding the space. The music is an assortment of popular hits. read more

I'm not a coffee drinker, but when friends want to meet and chat here, then you go. I like that it's 40 seconds from my house. I also like the atmosphere. I would imagine it's roomier in warmer weather when the doors are open. My friend liked his London Fog tea. The chai was ok, not great. I've become somewhat of a chai snob, this one seemed more foamy. I'll come again, just maybe try a different tea. read more

Such a cute place with a great menu of coffee offerings! Shale was recommended to me by a friend and it did not disappoint. On this chilly autumn morning I was thrilled to walk inside and see a menu full of fall specials. I opted to create my own this time, and ordered a latte with brown sugar cinnamon and pumpkin with coconut milk (they have coconut, oat, and almond for non dairy options) and it was cozy in a cup. The staff was very friendly too, giving me the rundown and making recommendations when I said it was my first time in. I definitely look forward to trying another drink next time I'm in the area! read more

Tried a (Rishi) tea and a mocha. Not tasty. Atmosphere is okay... but loud, because sounds echo around this industrial-like previous garage. The tables and chairs were flimsy and kept falling over. Lots of tables outside - maybe it's better in summer. read more

Checked this place out on a cool Sunday afternoon. It's a cute little shop and the service good. Everyone was very polite and patient with us. The coffee was pretty good. overall the flavor was good. 8/10. my muffin was okay. i was a bit disappointed because they use banana flavoring instead real bananas. my girl had a cinnamon muffin and it was very good. Her drink the "oatmeal cookie latte" was good also, it reminded us of the brown sugar oat milk shaken espresso from starbucks. i would definitely recommend this place and we will definitely be back. they even have a drive thru and outdoor seating which were very nice also. read more

This probably airs on the side of three and a half stars. I've been there twice. Nothing bad about the cup of coffee served here, but nothing that jumps out at me either. Service was indifferent at best the first time I was here, and a little more friendly the second time. I like the unique space and the openness of the coffee shop. Parking seems a little wonky, but I do realize it is limited in this location. Nothing would stop me from coming here again, but nothing would reel me in either. Decent cup of joe. read more

Nice quaint micro brewery / coffee house in the booming refurbished Oakwood Plaza. Solid assortment of home brewed beers at a very reasonable craft price of $5 a pint. Apparently they couldn't quite get the mesquite barbecue right so took it off the menu. Can't hold that against them! All three of us ordered different items and they were great. My Shrimp on a bed of risotto with jalapeños slaw was outstanding. Again, reasonable pricing on food too. Anna was friendly and helpful - she will be a great PT! When the wait at the others plaza restaurants is longer than 15 minutes - do yourself a favor and head over to Shale Brewing! read more

This was my first visit but certainly won't be my last. Stopped in for coffee and sandwiches on their first day serving breakfast. The service was quick, coffee and latte were both delicious. The breakfast sandwiches tasted amazing - fresh, amazing flavors, substantial portions. Can't wait to return for their seasonal drinks and to try the other sandwiches. I love that we have a local coffee shop. I try to support local business when possible over big chains so I was excited that this new place was opening near my house. The coffee seems like an afterthought. Not a lot of care put into quality. Just a sub par coffee from a steam pot. The breakfast sandwiches are better than fast food - but it seems like the meat is left over from whatever is made at the bbq side of the shop the night before. I applaud them for not wasting food but it just seems sub par. read more

I really enjoy going here for fun latte flavors! They have such a variety of seasonal drinks which make it fun to revisit. The atmosphere is really nice and open with plenty of seating. I will definitely keep returning! The only thing that would amp it up is if some syrups were homemade. read more

I would often visit their oakwood square location and I really enjoyed stopping there; however since they opened up on Main St. It seems like the quality of their coffee has went downhill. Buuuut... I've only been here 2 times since they've opened up on Main St so maybe that's not fair to say. Still, both times were not a great experience. First time, I ordered a hot caramel latte and it was cold. No worries! I tell the barista and she makes me a new one and gives me a gift card for $5. I wasn't expecting that so it was a nice plus! Second time, I order an oatmeal cookie latte and it was just ok, and the barista was kind of rude. She didn't acknowledge me when ordering and when I was ordering she was laughing and talking to the other barista. When handing me the drink she was still talking to the other barista and still didn't greet me. On the plus side, their new location is so cute. I love the large garage door style openings to the patio. Will I come again? Probably not... which is a shame because I liked the Oakwood square location! I really wanted this to be a coffee shop I visit often but there are just so many other coffee shops in the area that are better. read more

Pet-Friendly, which is great...EXCEPT the dogs were paws-up on the counters where my order was being served, and no effort was made to dter them, or clean the counters afterwards. Then, multiple dogs created some chaos trying to meet & greet each other. Nice place, good coffee, casual and comfortable, but the dogs had a better time than I did... not going back. read more

We were there at 3:55pm and the front doors were still open. We waited in line and we were probably the 3rd in line. After the person in front of us ordered the girl behind the counter looks at us and another couple and tells us they are closing at 4pm and they will be serving no more customers! After they refused to serve us even though we got there before close, we went to get ice cream at Roes. I saw a north canton police officer pull in at 4:10 and proceed to get served coffee!! Even though the employees refused to serve 4 people in the shop because the clock had just turned 4pm! Hopefully customer service gets better because I do enjoy coming here! read more

Puke on a plate. This was the worst brisket and gluten experience I've ever had in my life. No one knows what they're doing in here and the same server has been saying "it's my first day" for over a month now (went here for drinks only prior). Ordered the brisket as the "chef" tried to sell me on it and the disgustingly sticky sweet Brussels. I was served ice cold meat that was primarily fat only, Brussels and get this...BRUSSELS SLAW. Thanks for giving me nothing good to eat. No a competent bar tender in sight. Whole place stinks of the septic system. Also, TOTALLY GLUTENED! **NOT GF FRIENDLY!!!!** Never again. read more

5Ordered two carry out Braised Short Rib dinners (at $20.00 apiece no less). When we cut into the two substantial pieces of beef, much to our chagrin, they were RAW. The menu says that the dinner is "par smoked" then braised. They may have been par smoked, but they certainly were not braised. I do not know what their idea of braising is, but it certainly did not fit any description of braising that I have ever experienced. We were much too hungry to make a trip back and wait for a correction so, I just threw the pieces of meat on the grill to make them safe to eat (when I say raw, I mean RAW). Although they were cooked now, they were substantially chewey. I never seek something for nothing but I always figure that the establishment wants to know what is going on with their food. Later I called the restaurant and lodged my complaint. The manager was apologetic and offered to prepare a second order. I declined since it was a little bit of a hike and we had already eaten. He offered a gift card (much to the restaurant's credit) but didn't take my name or any other info. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and chalk it up to the heat of the moment. I do not plan on going back any time soon. read more
