Showed up for lunch with my wife and there was a minimum amount of food. People waiting around for pizzas to be done. No chicken and mojos. We showed up at 1255pm on a Saturday. Visited yesterday evening to have dinner here & watch some football Ordered the PCM half mushroom & pepperoni w/sausage , mojos & chicken + lemonade drink & cup of water. Everything came fresh & hot Chicken was over seasoned with salt( did not enjoy)1/10 Mojos 2/10 (felt like they served us the bottom of the bag) the layer below was full of tiny, small mojo potatoes. Did our best to mask the saltiness with taking off the skin, but still overwhelmed by the salt! This was my first visit to Shakey's, and it definitely won't be my last. I picked up a to-go order. The food was amazing! the pizza, the chicken, and especially the mojos were all so good and made to order!! I also want to give a big thank you to the cashier, Romeo. He was very friendly, kind and courteous. He even asked me to check my food to make sure everything was correct and ensured that I was satisfied, which I really appreciated. We went to Shakey's Pizza on Washington Blvd. for my Bday Week. The Bunch of Lunch was great!! Employee Maria Mejia sang Las Mananitas/Happy Birthday to me!! They added BBQ mini ribs to the menu, spaghetti and meatballs, and cheese enchiladas on certain days of the week. I really enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and the friendly staff there. The food was fresh but the cashier's attitude was horrible, she was rude and short to every paying customer she tended to. Upon leaving I asked a worker dressed in all black what the cashiers name was so I could send an email about her attitude. The worker in all black said "I don't know her name was everything ok" I told her how rude the cashier was, she then apologized and said she would talk to her. I asked the lady in black if she was manager she stated she was. Highly recommend this place because the staff goes above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable. Staff takes actions immediately upon being asked for something. I waited there for an unacceptable five minutes just to get the busboys attention, who found someone else to assist me. Bunch a lunch. So I did not expect great food. The food is Shakey's pizza parlor. Not the best, but not the worst. The staff was really nice. I asked him for a mushroom and pineapple pizza and they had no problem making it for me in the bunch of lunch. The salad today was pretty good.
