Another blast from the past! When I was a kid growing up in Northern California, we routinely visited Shakey's for their "Bunch O' Lunch" deal. Back then Shakey's was a Sacramento based company with locations all over the place. Today you're hard pressed to find a location outside of So Cal or the Philippines. While vacationing in Anaheim we saw this location and I said we've gotta go! I loved the pizza, fried chicken, salad bar, and most importantly the mojo potatoes! They still of course also have the spaghetti and garlic bread. Over the decades that have passed since I was a kid, they've added steamed veggies, mac n' cheese, corn, and mashed potatoes and gravy to the line up. Something for everyone. The dining room is set up family style with long tables lined up to seat as many patrons as possible during busy lunch rushes. Nostalgic memorabilia and artwork is displayed throughout the restaurant. Staff did a great job of keeping pizzas, chicken, potatoes, and everything else coming out quickly to keep the customers happy. Similarly, the dining room team was super fast to clear dishes and clean tables when folks left. Overall this is a great Shakey's offering great food and a great experience! read more

I will always have a soft spot for Shakey's. I haven't had a chance to stop by for years until recently. I wanted my kids to also experience the awesomeness that is Shakey's and their potatoes. They loved it. We went for the lunch buffet. $15 for a buffet in 2026 is great value. Food tasted great as pizzas were constantly being cycled. The chicken was also extremely juicy. read more

Always enjoy the fried chicken, mojo potatoes and a cold beer. Family oriented so expect little ones running back and forth from the play area. It has TVs so you won't miss a baseball or basketball game. read more

Went here to redeem my birthday coupon and it's still as good as I remember. i had to go during my lunch break because you can only go during bunch of lunch buffet hours. I was able to break free from work and it was worth it. Food was fresh and everything look good and tasted good. Very simple buffet but it did it's job to satisfy me. read more

I was very thrilled to come here, as this was a blast from the past and a bit of nostalgia from my childhood. However the food was the biggest disappointment. First the price for an all you can eat, which seemed a bit steep was $32.00. From what I recall about Shaykey's frozen the later 80's was it had a taste all it's own, now it has a familiarity to that of Snarro's. Seriously save your money! No lively atmosphere at all. There is a sorry excuse for an Arcade, only to hold the attention spans of 3 year oldies There's one , I think in west Anaheim that's a lot more hippoin. read more

Stopped in at around 8:15 which was 45 minutes before closing on a Wednesday. Restaurant was pretty busy for a Wednesday night. Ordered a personal PCM, paid my $ and was given a number. Pizzas were coming out of the oven, and the manager was frying chicken which had about 12 minutes left when I ordered. Struck up a conversation with the manager, they got hit with a rush and he was dropping chicken and mojos for a group that came in. (The cooked items weren't enough to cover the bigger order). Communication was great as he let me know that it would be a few minutes for my chicken, also talked to the table that was waiting for chicken and made sure they were informed of the situation. Packed my order, dropped a few extra mojos for "my trouble and time" and I was off to enjoy my dinner. PCM for one is a pretty good deal, great staff, and the food as I remember it! read more

The back part is a good sized kids arcade area. Has a small bar area...but I didn't see any seats at the bar, to sit at. AYCE Buffet available 11am-2pm. read more

Came here with coworkers on a whim who wanted to come here for some reason. The pizza was not appetizing at all when seeing them under the heat lamps. Since I already paid, I got a slice of the pepperoni and the equivalent of a supreme pizza. I also took one of the fried chicken and the steamed vegetables. You would be better off buying frozen pizza from the grocery store than eating here. The vegetables were also questionable and completely unseasoned. The fried chicken was also lacking any sort of seasoning. read more

Came here for lunch on a Saturday while visiting Irvine,CA. We usually include a trip to Shakey's whenever we go to LA. Food was served hot and had good quality - pizza was not burnt and chicken was not dry. We were impressed. Ambiance - usual Shakey's vibe. We sat in a booth and the seat had an area with grease on it. The lady who took our order by the cashier was nice, friendly and helpful. The gentleman who brought the food to our table had a great demeanor - happy about this location's customer service. The arcade is of good size. The only thing which I noticed was that the tables and chairs were arranged such that there are 3 long rows - which does not provide any privacy since you are seated beside another party. Fortunately, there was an available booth when we were there. The next time we are in the area, we will definitely return to this location. read more

Nice play with beer & games. Our son got a coupon for this pizza shop from school so we all decided to go on a Saturday to use it. Thankful we intended on getting additional for because the pizza they give for free was tiny lol. The pizza was great. Chicken tenders were decent. Service was prompt. The staff seemed to be a little short but they were attending to everyone as best as they could. This is a nice place to take your family and kids. They have a game room and long tables with enough seating for the biggest family. read more

Lettuce was as brown as the fried chicken, the croutons were stale, only regular sugar with your tea. You ask the employees for help and they know nothing but "Oh no, no we don't." Why you don't have no cheese out for the brown salad then asked for mushroom and she went and asked someone if they went on salads. Really??????? read more

If you like bad service and really long wait times this is the perfect place for you. They would rather lose business than try to help you.

Great food, good service, clean and friendly. Papa mojos are the best and of course can never go wrong with the classic pepperoni pizza. read more

They wouldn't turn the sound on for the tv. Worker was very rude and they really disappointed everyone watching the playoff game. Food was ok. Where's the ping pong table? I will not be coming back here. read more

We planned a night out at Shakey's for an end of season celebration for our flag football team. We reserved 3 weeks in advance for 40 people. We also called to confirm the morning of the event. When we arrived, they did not have our tables reserved. When we tried to address it to whomever was in charge that night, they did nothing to help us with this crappy situation. We had 10 littles as well all of the parents standing around waiting. It was stressful and disappointing. There was a long line out the door to order and when finally did order, it took a very long to get our food. Super disappointing! And this Shakey's location dropped the ball. We will not be planning any events here in the future. If you're looking for a place to plan a team gathering, go somewhere more reliable and accountable. read more

I didn't bother reading the other reviews because I didn't want to sully my experience. I came here on a Friday afternoon for lunch. The place was semi packed. But it did not feel overwhelming. I am so glad that it surived the pandemic. I get everything I like here. Pizza! yum! Dessert Pizza? Yum! Salad? Yum! Mojo potatoes? yes very yum! They have fried chicken and grilled chicken and even pasta! Seriously! How much better does it get?? It has been a while since I had returned, but nothing has changed. This is what I am talking about! Do what you know! Mojo potatoes for days!!! read more

Our server was so sweet and professional tonight! We wish we would have gotten his name but he was definitely the best customer service we have had so far and we've been coming here for years. Bunch a lunch NOT WORTH IT! Paid $14 on a Monday at 1pm and there were 4 pizzas out under warmers. Grabbed two slices and they were old as was the chicken. In the 30 min we were there only 1 fresh pizza was produced which was a pepperoni. The whole point of going was for variety of fresh pizzas. Never again. Better off ordering a pizza/chicken plate. Salad looked old slightly brown. Just totally not worth the price for what was advised. read more

I am writing this review after eating a pizza.. First I wanted salad but they wanted me to make my own in a public salad bar. Second they gave me less refund than the salad cost. Third this pizza was the worst tasting pizza I have even eaten, weird crust oily and had a funky smell. Forth the price for the 14" cheese pizza with 5 toppings cost $35 Fifth Now I know better to never contact this place again. read more

The chicken was tasty and food was fine. Lots of families seemed to be enjoying a night out that gives entertainment for adults and children. Some of the games didn't work. The tables seem a bit close to each other, with less roomy aisles but everyone seemed to get around just fine. read more

Thank you for the hospitality Maria! The service, food, and atmosphere are great. This is a nice family restaurant!

Food was great as well as the staff. The lunch bunch is good, a little pricey, but good

DO NOT GO HERE!!! They do not even know how to cook a simple pizza in the oven!! The pizza came out with uncooked mushrooms and we gave the pizza back and asked if they could roast it more... they did and they gave it back and it still was not cooked enough...! I bit into the pizza and I see uncooked dough !! Food poisoning...!!!! Shame on this restaurant and it should not even be in business when they cannot even make a simple pizza when they cooked it twice ....This place is not clean enough especially their pizza .uncooked pizza read more

It's been 30 years since I've been to Shakey's old town pizza restaurant. They used to show the three stooges, comedies in black and white. This location had Spanish Telenovela's, On the big screen. It was nice seeing a play area still for the kids, with raffle tickets. That was a surprise. The employees were working hard, the pizza was good, the Fried chicken, was surprisingly the best thing there that day. read more

YIKES...this place is very shady. They had semi-homeless people there that smelled pretty bad sitting next to the buffet which made it really hard for me to enjoy my meal. The lunch buffet was about $18.00 with a drink. I would rather have gone to McDonald's and saved $8.00 and had a better meal. The pizza selection wasn't that great and the pizza itself was just OK. Nothing special at all. They had some "government food" selections which consisted of corn, fake mashed potatoes, Ragu spaghetti sauce, and limp noodles. I skipped all of that. The fried chicken was the only semi-decent thing they had. There was also a salad bar and that was OK. They could have had more condiments to go on top but whatever..at this point nothing could have saved this lunch. Uh, I'd personally never go back. read more

The service was prompt, professional and polite. I work for a non-profit and have certain steps to take which the representative was very understanding and helpful. The food was great, fresh, hot and plentiful as it was during the lunch buffet hours. The cost was reasonable and the portions were very good. I will return with an even greater group than the one we had. Great time and had a very good choice of seating. Really liked the welcoming atmosphere and the price is reasonable. read more

I give it 10 out of 10, but it's too good but it makes you a little bit sick if you eat too much They put too much stuff in it
