Shakers is a landmark of Bronson and I hope they never go away. The employees are great and the food is too. I know it's not the prettiest place but we all know that some of the best food comes out of hidden gems and hole in the walls. Don't judge this book by its cover. read more

The man who took out order was very friendly, pleasant and happy. No ambiance whatsoever so ever. You order and pick up. The food was super great and others eating outside said something. Now I know this building is old but looking inside it it is in serious need of painting and at least make it cleaner and neater. Please please clean or degrease your windows. Everything. The food quality is horrible and is obviously frequented by people who are not concerned with food quality. On the surface, it look's totally unsanitary but I've only been there once and I thought the food tasted like it was of poor quality. I believe there is nothing more Americana than a drive-In restaurant. Sadly, you do not see them around much anymore, but when I see one I usually have to stop in and at least grab something. The menu here is fairly simple, Burgers, sandwiches, milkshakes, etc., go by doing this, Baylor for something for almost anyone. This is a small location, and it is more a drive-through than a drive in, do they have a place that you can sit back and chill and eat your meal. I first heard about this place, when my brother-in-law, told me he had gotten fired from this really great burger/continental restaurant. The wraps, burgers, and fried foods are great, but two things make it extremely noteworthy; the Philly Cheesesteak and the shakes. I discovered Shakers kind of randomly several years ago. Now it's one of my "take a long bike ride and get a reward at the other end" destinations, about once a year. The burgers are fantastic (they offer several cheese options), the fries are pretty darn good (smooth fries, thicker than McDonald's, cooked to just the right combination of crispy outside/tender inside), the staff are friendly and helpful, and they've got a walk-up window and picnic tables for those of us who aren't ordering from a car and driving away. It's been a few years since I've had a shake there (dairy's not a good choice when bicycling in hot weather), but I remember them fondly as well. I live about 15 miles away, near Gainesville, and the only fast food style burger I've had in this general geographic area that even comes close to Shakers is from a little "weekday only, lunch only" place called Mac's. None of the big chains can touch Shakers. It's worth the ride. read more

I love, love, love their shakes. Friendly servers. To be honest, that's about it. I had heard the food was really good for fast food but so far I haven't had any that impressed me. Burgers aren't as tasty as McDonald's. I've tried a few other items but they were unmemorable. I've given up on the food and only come here for the shakes. read more

Always fast and fresh. Good burgers and fries. Try one of their shakes if you don't mind gaining 3lbs in one sitting - they're worth it. The only thing that's tough is getting in there on a weekday at lunch time. Place is so popular with locals cars are out to the road...but I'd call that an endorsement. Shakers doesn't seem like much from the exterior but they have good burgers and the BEST onion rings around. The jalapeño poppers and milkshakes are pretty good as well. If we are craving burgers, this is the place we go. We have been to all the claimed "best burger" places and shakers is right there with them if not better for a much lower cost. I have had many banana shakes in Bronson, FL since being introduced to them. My wife had a chocolate shake a few days ago since she is a lover of that flavor. She said it was terrible and had no taste. She put it in the freezer at home and told me to eat it. She was correct. As good as the banana shakes are, that's how bad the chocolate shakes are. They have no chocolate in them. Flavorless, overpriced, for nothing. Someone in authority, NOT IN BRONSON, needs to go there and taste this stuff. Then apologize to my wife after you fix it. read more

This place has been here awhile but changed owners a few years ago. Our first visit was for milkshakes. They have small, medium and large shakes. The we got mediums and to me they were a large. The price was great only $4.00 for the medium. Our next visit a couple of days later was to try their food. They have a good selection of sandwiches and you can make them a combo. We both got the philly cheese steak combo which included fries and drink. They were really good. The fries had a good taste but they could have cooked a little longer for a crisper fry. This is a drive thru but has two canopies with picnic tables if you want to eat there. read more

For a drive thru burger joint this was delicious. We both had all the way burgers and fries. Everything was fresh and hot. The fries were cooked perfect and had the right amount of salt. The burgers were messy and yummy. I also had a banana milkshake which was delicious. We'll be back next time we're driving through Bronson. The two women working there were very pleasant and apologized for the wait but I didn't think it was a long wait for fresh food. read more

This is the first time I have reviewed a fast food place, but it was such a nice experience I felt I should. The guy who took our order (I think the owner) was very friendly. He even made us poppers which were on the lunch menu at 10am. The food was good and the portions were large. The prices were very reasonable. This is the best fast food we have ever had, and I have lived in five major metropolitan cities and traveled to many more. The burgers are very good, a decent size for the single, and my husband is a HUGE fan of their strawberry milkshakes. He says they are the BEST! After moving to the area to get away from civilization we stopped here while doing lunch errands, not knowing what to expect. We ordered double cheeseburgers, fries, jalapeño poppers and my husband ordered a milkshake. We way over ordered and lunch also became dinner as we were too full to eat again later. read more
