I've always liked Shake Shack and have been here several times before. But on this last visit with my wife, the food didn't hit the mark. I ordered the ShackBurger and my wife the 'Shroom Burger. The burger was good --- but not as great nor as appetizing looking as I've had in the past. But it hit the spot. My wife's 'Shroom Burger was awful. The description was "crisp-fried portobello mushroom filled with melted cheese." The portobello definitely wasn't "crisp-fried." It was soggy. And the melted cheese didn't taste like any cheese I've had before. It was something gooey that seemed to have come out of a tube. It really didn't work. Since I ordered at the kiosk, I really didn't have much interaction with the staff. They seemed efficient. And the decor was pleasant with plants --- for a fast food restaurant, generally a nice environment to dine.

The Cheese Burger at this Shake Shack location was fine. Good patties to satisfy that hunger pangs. But I was dissatisfied with the Shroom Burger. It could be the cheese used for the stuffing. It's always busy here so it's not an ideal place for a relaxing meal. Feels like it's a rushed kind of place.

Got the korean style fries...not a huge fan. It is simply just fries with cajun seasoning and the sauce is not the best. The workers were extremely nice and there were clean tables as well as booths. You order using a tablet (there are around 7, so it was easy to order

Located at the Irvine spectrum, this spot was easy to access with convenient parking. When you enter, there are multiple ordering kiosk to the left. When placing your order, they have you grab a number from the side, enter it and find a table to place the number on while you wait. Seating inside was limited, but there were plenty of seating in the patio area. Although the restaurant was busy our food arrived within a reasonable amount of time. We tried K-Shack BBQ Burger and K-Shack Fried Chicken Bites. The burger was salty, and the chicken bites were bland. Overall, the experience was pretty much what you'd expect from a fast food restaurant. Nothing terrible, but nothing memorable either.

I came here over the weekend for lunch. Lots of patio seating outside as well. You can order on the kiosk inside for either take out or dine in. Service was quick, food came out fast. I got the shackburger with fries and cheese fries. The burger was decent but it was pretty greasy. The fries were okay, nothing special about it. Overall, the food here is on the pricey side. The food was a bit too greasy for me compared to other burger spots I had. I would eat elsewhere in the Spectrum.

Good food. I've had the burgers here and they're really good. Something about the crispiness of smash burgers, the patty is thick and flavorful, and the vegetables are actually tasty. I love onions on my burgers so I love it here. The actual Big Mac Shack thing is alright. The price is good, it's $10 for a thick double double burger (these are also double sized patties). The sauce was on the side. It was like an onion sauce, it was good. The burger was a little bit salty and I dunno, a little boring. The potato buns they use here are really good though. The chicken sandwich was good. I usually like the chicken more than the burgers, but that's just me. Crinkle fries are great, nice and crispy. Self serve ketchup too, yay. Great experience here and I plan to come back to this place. I almost never get shakes here, but I know everything is good.

Sometimes not all new menu items hit, but the Big Mac delivered. At $10 and 1000 calories for one burger, a one and done is justified imo. The burger buns at shake shack are elite. The fries and onion rings are good. Definitely not a fan of the ranch. Tastes more like mayo than ranch, it was kind of weird. What impressed me more about this location was the quick service and how the staff were all hustling to get the food out, wipe down tables, sweep floors while customers were going in and out nonstop. It was a busy Saturday night at the start of the holiday season and I've never seen such efficiency! Even with ordering at the automated station, finding someone to verify ID for a beer wasn't too hard or inconvenient. Plenty of outdoor seating and finding indoor seating wasn't too much of a challenge even with a stroller. With all the amazing food options at spectrum, we were happy and satisfied to have gone with shake shack!

If you want to pay $72 for cold burgers, come to Shake Shack at a Saturday night . We placed our order on the self-service iPad, grabbed our own table, and then waited over 25 minutes for our food. We ordered the SmokeShack burger, French Onion Shack, chicken nuggets, a strawberry shake, and a beer. Since the wait was so long, I got up to pick up our drinks first. Their workflow makes no sense, by the time the food finally came out, only the Shroom Burger was hot. Everything else was ice cold, chicken nuggets tasted very oily and double fried. For $72, this is absolutely not the experience I expect. The food wasn't good, there's essentially no service, and they are clearly very short-staffed for the volume of orders they take. I genuinely don't understand why people still come here for burgers. Never again. Bye Shake shack!

pretty good, got the double patty burgers and they come with coke! we also got the original fries and a cooke n cream milk shake. the burger is good, but i found it kind of dry. by the end i felt like i was choking on every bite but it was still good. fries were crispy and has great texture, and the milkshake was better than expected.

I like that this location is open late, prices are generally moderate, and they often have limited time items available. The burger and chicken sandwich is consistently very good, high quality ingredients, though generally on the smaller side. When ordering make sure to check the custom options. Would also recommend the standard chicken bites. I like that you can order ahead with the app, though the android version has been broken for quite some time. Also, you have to ask about your order at the counter because there isn't any now serving screen or notification and oftentimes no announcement. There are many tables inside and outside for this location.

Party of four on a Saturday around 1 pm. Inside and outside seating available. You can also order your food at the cashier or at the 5 or 6 tablets that they have available as soon as you enter. They weren't extremely busy yet when we came in, but when we left around 2 pm, it was packed. Our table was a bit dirty (No biggie), we cleaned it real quick. A solid 4 stars. Food came out fairly quick. It was really good, this was our first time at this restaurant! Staff were kind, friendly, and welcoming, definitely a place to came back again!

Ok In-n-Out lovers..plz don't come at me, but dare I say, I like Shake Shack more. Lol I first had a taste of Shake Shack in Arizona on our fam bam road trips and I've been hooked ever since. Call it love at first bite! Fast forward to 2025 and they now have 2 locations in my vicinity of OC/Cali and I'm sooo STOKED (can't you tell from my gang of burger pics?), you don't even know. My go-to has been the OG ShackBurger with raw, sliced onions. There is just something about their toasted potato bun that hit this Cali girl differently than In-n-Out. It's sooo yums. I love their fresh, made-to-order 100% Angus beef ~ quarter pound patty and that melted American cheese over fresh lettuce & tomato. Mmm..my mouth is legit watering as I write this review. While I ALWAYS order a side of fries with my burger, depending on my mood and hunger level, I sometimes feel fancy and get cheese fries to round out my meal. I just love those crispy crinkle cut fries that have that satisfying soft center. To truly complete my meal, I love their refreshing strawberry lemonade on a hot day. You can really taste the real strawberry puree, perfectly marrying their house-made lemonade. It quenches my thirst every time. While yes, your Shack Shake meal will NEVER compare to your In-n-Out combo prices, however, it's still worth it now and then ~ esp. when I have that fast-food craving, but still want fresh quality ingredients. Truth be told, I would only visit this first Shake Shack location in OC if I was hanging out & strolling around the Spectrum, cuz let's be real..ain't nobody wants to deal with the Spectrum parking madness. This location is in a prime real estate spot on the north side of the Spectrum shopping center, by the Regal movie theater, so you best bet there is lots of foot traffic. Beware..it can get busy during peak lunch/dinner hours! Hands down, 100% RxFoodie recommended fo' sure ~ you need to give it a try yourself, before you knock it! You won't be disappointed.

Love the food and the place, but the kiosk for ordering yourself can be a little glitchy. With all that said, the service is fast and the food is always cooked nicely. They also have drinks which I recently found out about which are tasty and sized normal, not too small like other places. Ambiance is okay as it can be pretty crowded sometimes and not enough seats to be able to enjoy your food inside the place.

I was slightly surprised that the price is close to $7 for a single scoop of ice cream on a cone, I guess I'm used to those days when ice cream used to be a dollar, but what I did appreciate was that they offered to put it in a cup for us because the portion they give is so generous that it doesn't fit on a cone. I actually wanted something a little healthier when I went so I chose the no sugar added pistachio, which was so good so creamy so delicious and full of pistachio nuts. I'm aware that there are other options nearby such as Dairy Queen at less than half the price of this, but if I had to choose again, I might still come back to Handel's because the single scoop could almost be enough for two people. We went with a few other families and none of the kids could actually finish their ice cream cone, which is actually good because that means you can share. The shop is especially good if you're planning to watch a movie at the Regal Cinema just next door.

The service was good and really quick, and the place is super chill. The menu of the ice cream place is also very extensive, so you can get a multitude of interesting flavors! I got the s'mores one and it was super delicious, with a graham cracker base, chocolate chips and gooey marshmallows. It was also super creamy and flavorful! The blueberry cobbler one is rich with that blueberry flavor, kind of like a blueberry pie. And the strawberry sorbet was not too sweet and refreshing and it's dairy-free. If you're looking for a sweet treat and don't mind having more than one scoop, go to Handel's!

However, I was still more than happy to check them out when my gf suggested coming here. All of their hype and praise was certainly a big reason why, as well as me wanting to see what Persian ice cream tastes like, but, quite simply, how could I ever say "no" to trying a new ice cream shop? Especially to cap off such a warm evening out! While I can't say how this location compares to their spot in LA, I liked how low-key and unassuming this place felt. Past the counter/register, there's a small amount of seating to the back, but there's also a bunch of seats and tables right out in front. More importantly, though, their display case of ice cream is chock full of enticing options. Inspired by ingredients and flavors from around the world, Saffron Rose's roster of flavors is quite diverse. What's more, from their Mango and French Espresso to their Saffron & Pistachio and Passionfruit, they all looked equal parts unique and delicious! -- FRENCH ESPRESSO While it may not have been quite as amazing as I had hoped, this was still pretty good. Although I wish the taste of the espresso had been more robust, it still had a decent coffee flavor to it that I really liked. -- PASSIONFRUIT I got this mostly because I wanted something a bit tart and citric to balance the French Espresso and it did the trick. The passionfruit was refreshing and I liked that the taste of it wasn't overly acidic. -- SAFFRON WITH PISTACHIO Presumably their namesake flavor? Either way, this may not have been my favorite flavor, but it wasn't bad. The taste of saffron was decently strong and I liked how the pistachios in this added some texture. -- MANGO Of all of the flavors I've tried, this is easily my favorite. Not only did it feel rather refreshing (especially on such a warm night), but it also had a surprisingly strong taste of mango to it. -- POMEGRANATE Unfortunately, this was pretty disappointing. Much like when I got the passionfruit flavor, I wanted something fruity and light to offset the pistachio, but this was a little bit sharp and acidic for my liking. -- GREEN PISTACHIO I love pistachios, so I had some high hopes for this one, but it missed the mark for me. For whatever reason, the taste of pistachios didn't come across as well as it did with the other flavors and the chunks of pistachios felt surprisingly soft. -- PINK ROSE My least favorite of the bunch, but, to be fair, I'm also just not a fan of floral flavors and the rose water showed up most prominently in this one. Even though the first couple of bites were okay, the taste of the rose was too much for me after that. Regardless of the flavor, one thing I noticed about Saffron Rose's ice cream is that they're somewhat similar to gelato, but with a slightly gummier texture to them. What's more, all of the ice cream is made with rose water, which, as mentioned, I'm not a huge fan of, though it was pretty subtle in all of them except the Pink Rose. Also, I didn't care for the wafers they give you either. While I appreciate that they can complement the ice cream well (they resembled those classic cake ice cream cones), the wafers had more of a soft, semi-stale texture rather than a crisp one (unless that's they way they're supposed to be). All and all, considering how they're one of the only Persian ice cream joints around, Saffron Rose is by no means bad in any way. At the very least, their ice cream is certainly unique and even better than some of the gelatos I've had. However, as someone who prefers a more classic, creamy scoop of ice cream, I think Saffron Rose is just okay. My gf, on the other hand, is definitely a fan, so I'm sure more scoops of their Mango and French Espresso will be in my future the next time we visit when we're back in town again! THREE AND A HALF STARS rounded down.

I didn't even finish it; I just threw it away because it was that nasty. * Texture & Taste: It tastes like watered-down diet ice cream. We ordered three things; mint chocolate chip, rose, and milk and cereal. All with a bubble waffle cone. The service was disappointing, the guy who worked there seemed like he didn't care and it was just another job. No life to him and was just rude about asking the code for the bathroom. The mint and chip is basic. Nothing too much about it. My kids like it, so I got it. Average 3/5. The rose ice cream tasted like a rose, it was pretty good and very floral. The disappointing part is I was hoping the ice cream would be shaped like a rose as depicted on the picture. Nope, just a scoop and left it as is. 5/5 for taste and 0/5 for presentation. The milk and cereal one was actually pretty good. Especially with Frosted Flakes in it. It literally taste like cereal. 5/5. I would give it a higher star if the service complimented it and th presentation of the rose ice cream did.

The blueberry lavender cold foam was super unique it was lightly floral but not overpowering, and it paired really well with the drink underneath. The strawberry cold foam felt fresh and slightly sweet, giving that classic fruity vibe without being too heavy. My personal favorite was the salted caramel cold foam!! it had that perfect balance of sweet and salty and made the drink feel extra indulgent. The café itself has a clean, modern vibe and is a great place to hang out or grab something to-go. Staff was friendly and the drinks came out looking just as good as they tasted Definitely worth checking out if you're in Irvine and want something a little different from your usual coffee run!

It's a long drive for me so I hadn't been in a while, but I was excited to grab my usual on the way to an event. Cold Yuzu Dragonfruit Refresher via the Toast app. Easy pickup. Great plan. Except the drink that was waiting for me was noticeably smaller. Like, significantly. I'm estimating around 12oz. Was it delicious? Yes. Was it worth $9+ when $9 used to mean at least 16oz? Not for me. I get that prices have gone up everywhere. That's just life right now. But the menu gave zero indication that the size had changed, and that's the part that stings. Let me make an informed decision. I probably would've still ordered it. Treat yourself, y'know? But, I just would've mentally prepared to pay a premium for a smaller pour instead of being surprised at pickup. A little transparency goes a long way.
