After a brief time spending the day in Kailua it was time for lunch and it was Mahaloha Burger for us and with some parts of Kailua biggest challenge is parking but these merchants on Hekili Street which is right across from Kailua Town Center does have it's own parking in the back is very convenient when you're unable to find street parking. Though quite small the vibe of this restaurant is just adorable lots of statement of Aloha some are fun and cheesy, I ordered the most popular item #9 Mushroom Swiss with fries though I was tempted with the many of their specialty fries is always yummy along with any of their dipping sauce. We're given a buzzer though it took no time to receive our order and gosh what a lovely burger cooked perfectly but you know what would make it better...dine in during their "Happy Hour" weekdays only from 3pm-5pm it's $2 off any burger or hot dog and $1 off specialty fries and yes they also have beer...cheers to this play filled with Aloha. Thank you!

Inside is airconditioned with around maybe 10 tables and chairs some seat 2 others eat 4 and they also have outside patio seating back and front. The parking can be challenging having maybe 10 -12 spots in their lot and some street parking . Their Menu is a bit more limited than their other location. Sandwiches.. pizza and other stuff oh and coffee. The only thing that wasmt as good as their kapolei location was they didnt have the thin crispy salty cravable fries they only had small bags of chips available The food is always good and the service was real good. The staff gave you an impression where they really valued their customers with greetings with a smile and happy goodbyes. As always a great experience with a great casual setting..fair pricing (nothing is considered "cheap" nowdays) ..good food and friendly staff.

I usually order the chicken pesto sandwich, which is always a great choice, but today I decided to branch out and try the Beach Burger and the Margherita Pizza. Both were absolutely delicious and definitely worth ordering again. The atmosphere is one of my favorite parts. It has a relaxed, coastal vibe that makes you feel like you're dining at a beachfront café, even if you're not right on the sand. Overall, it's a great spot for good food, a laid-back environment, and friendly service. I'll definitely keep coming back.

If you expect something that doesn't resemble a frat party, please look elsewhere. Arrived about 515pm, got seats. And waited. And waited. First clue. If my husband didn't want their wings we would have left then. Chased someone down to order wings and a well done burger. He ordered a beer, which he did get promptly. Could not hear one another speak. While waiting, I watched all the people seated around the bar get ignored when trying to get the waitresses attention. When hubby's beer was done and we were almost completely deaf from the young girls screaming with laughter a foot away, we attempted to find out what happened to our food. This was 30 min after we ordered it. No luck finding anyone who would speak with us. We left the pub area and walked over to the outside walk up area. We were ignored there as well by no less than 4 waitstaff, until a nice girl asked if she could help us. We pointed at the food sitting in open containers in the open air, and asked if we could please have our food. She closed the lids and handed it to us. We got back home and hubby enjoyed his wings. I was unable to eat my raw hamburger, which had been ordered well done. One extra star for his beer.

This place used to be really good, but unfortunately, it seems like it has gone downhill. There was a lady working there who came across as a little rude, especially when explaining that customers wouldn't know if they liked something without trying it. She said she only makes good flavors... but I beg to differ. Poke was bland in some spots, overly salty in others, and the rice was sour and definitely not the nice sushi rice I was expecting. The flavors just didn't mix well at all. Like the lady described she only makes the best poke. Really disappointing because I used to enjoy coming here. The brisket melted in your mouth, and the chicken was so juicy with a thin crispy skin. The mac and cheese and corn cheese were both soooo good. The pickled jalapeños on the corn was one of those small detail things that added such a refreshing touch to the meal. I also appreciated how the tater tots stayed crunchy until we finished them off. The baked beans had a smoky flavor that made them distinctly better than others I've tried. Don't forget about their two sauces that come with the meal. They added a brightness and kick that made everything taste even better. The only thing I wasn't super stoked on was surprisingly the grilled cornbread. I had high hopes and it was still good, but it could have had more flavor and been more moist. But even with the okay cornbread I can't wait to go back! I'll probably try the regular instead of the grilled cornbread.

Whiskey Smoke 808…read more Whiskey Smoke 808 @whiskeysmoke_808 is a family-owned BBQ spot right in the heart of Kāneʻohe, serving up wood-smoked meats with local island flavors. We stopped in for lunch around noon this past Sunday, and it was already fairly busy. Thankfully, we didn't have to wait too long to be seated. I ordered the 2 Choice Plate with pulehu ribs and brisket, along with potato mac and BBQ beans. We also ordered the All Meat Plate, which was a great way to sample several of their popular meats and came with pickled vegetables. Unfortunately, by the time we ordered, they were already sold out of the cornbread, peach cobbler, and brisket meatloaf. So if there's something specific you want to try, I'd definitely recommend getting there earlier! Of course, I had to try a couple of their sauces too--the Coffee Bourbon and Guava Chili Pepper. My mom and I also shared the cherry cobbler and banana pudding for dessert. My favorites were definitely the pulehu ribs and BBQ beans. The ribs had great flavor, and those beans were probably the side I'd order again without hesitation. Service could use some improvement. Our first plate took over 20 minutes, with the second arriving more than 10 minutes later, making it hard to enjoy our meal together. We also waited an additional 30 minutes for the freshly baked cherry cobbler. The staff was friendly, but better timing and communication would've made the overall experience much smoother. The banana pudding, on the other hand, was really good and ended the meal on a sweet note! Would I come back? Yes. There are still a few sold-out items I'd like to try, especially that brisket meatloaf and peach cobbler. So I'll definitely come earlier next time.
