I love Hawaiian inspired fare and have had it all over the place. Shaka Brah cart at the Yard is doing it right! I had the Kalua pork with pineslaw and rice and it was top notch. That sesame sprinkle mix added to the rice just put it over the top! I would certainly go out of my way to come back here!

Ordered take out and had the short ribs/galbi dish. Comes with two sides. Flavor was tasty and the meat portion was generous. Very filling.

Not bad. Definitely needs some extra flavor but just okay. I'd go back and try again for sure. The Mac I'm not a fan of at all. JMO.

This is easily the best Hawaiian food place in Salem. This place is always fast and the workers are always nice.

Sunday brunch menu is limited but has some great options that aren't available other days. The chicken and biscuit sandwich was amazing! One of the best biscuits I have tasted in a while. The chicken and waffles were delicious and not what I expected. The waffle was more like a flavorful waffle cone than a giant Belgian waffle. The fried chicken was very tasty. The bacon was crisp and wonderful. The over medium egg was perfect. My Diet Coke was never empty this time and the rest of the service was also on point. We had a fun discussion with one of the owners, I think and were convinced of his love of good food and New Orleans. Nothing fancy with the furnishings and atmosphere but more than enough for downtown Salem. I'll definitely be back!

One of the best fried chicken sandwiches ever. And the batter has a little kick too, so it has a little heat. Not crazy about the hot chicken sandwich cuz it's just too much hot sauce, but the classic is unbelievable. My wife always gets the Caesar with grilled chicken and it's so good. We all know the beignet fried chicken sliders are good. But this is one of my favorite spots in Salem. Lastly, the service is always great. The owner, waiting staff and chefs are always super personable.

Kelly was so friendly, so full of life and energy and love. It seemed like everyone loves working there.. The food was absolutely amazing. Amazing from beginning to end this was by far superior to any restaurant I've been to in a long time. The service, the food, the ambience, sure wish it was in my town. Everyone at our table enjoyed their breakfast. We couldn't take it with us unfortunately because we're flying home today, but the portions are huge. Do yourself a favor and visit this cozy place. The wait can be a bit, but absolutely beyond worth the wait.

We told hostess we did not want to sit at the bar, she sat us at the bar, after some more wait, we did get a table. Coffee was ok, but the cups were huge, always 2/3 full of cold coffee. The food took one hour to find our table. Nothing special, my wife had an omelet, with a big glob of Brie cheese, overpowering the omelet. I had corned beef hash that was extremely dry and salty. I also had warm rye bread. Not toasted. We were half done with our breakfast, and was given the bill, and boxes to go. Very rushed, crowded, and expensive. $58 for sub-par breakfast for 2. Sorry WOM, didn't cut it.

The wings were honestly the best cooked wings I have *ever* had... crispy on the outside but moist and flavorful on the inside. Wow. What happened to this place? I used to love it, but tonight I left feeling so bummed out. I…read moretreat myself to a steak once a year, and that includes store bought. Tonight I got the ribeye and it was easily the fattiest, and worst steak I've ever received in a restaurant. I ordered medium rare, and out of the half of the steak that I was able to eat, half of that was rare, and the other half was medium. I picked through what I could, and ended up leaving an absurd amount on the plate. I took a photo, but I don't think it would be tactful to post it here. Midway through our meal, our server came by and asked how everything was. And although I was apprehensive to say anything, I decided to tell him what I thought. And I get it. The servers have zero control over the food. So I made sure that we tipped well. But for $57 plus tip for a steak, I shouldn't be leaving the restaurant borderline angry. Despite the food, our server was lovely. But I think we might be looking for a new favorite Salem restaurant.
