He installed a 200-amp service for my home in Big Bear Lake and handled everything seamlessly, including coordination with Bear Valley Electric and the City of Big Bear Lake Building Department--even navigating surprise safety grid shutdowns. What really impressed me was his advocacy: when the utility wanted to place the new panel in front (which would've hurt the home's look), John convinced them to keep it at the back. He also replaced outdated hanging lights with LED fixtures that opened up the space, and even suggested a copper trim paint to match the wood ceilings--attention to detail you rarely see in contractors. Yes, he's in high demand and books up fast, but he's worth the wait. Honest, thoughtful, and deeply experienced. I'm eager to work with him again.

My home is small and the unit he recommended is perfect for my needs. I was so happy and raving about it to family my brother who lives in Orange County contacted them to do a whole house AC. At first he wanted the split ac like I have but Jesse is so knowledgeable he recommended a better option for my brothers home and location taking into consideration the temperature differences and what would be most efficient in the long term. He even did it at such a great price compared to other bids my brother got. I'm just so happy with the work I had done by Dan and Jesse, AC is a blessing in the mountains, so worth the investment!

We really appreciated his communication and work, so we had him back to upgrade our entire electrical panel and install a Tesla charger. Eric handled everything, including coordinating with the city, staying on schedule, and keeping us in the loop throughout the process. His rates were extremely fair -- especially compared to several other estimates we received that were quite a bit higher. It's clear he takes pride in doing quality work and cares about his clients. He was reliable, professional, and kind -- exactly who you want working on your home. If you're in the Lake Arrowhead area and need an electrician, call Eric. (951) 751-8033

After three days of no hot water with rain and snow fall he was greatly appreciated! Even calling the office we felt like they cared and wanted to help... which was nice because we called around to about 8 other companies some where nice but couldn't do the work and some made us feel like we were bothering them with our need for service which is really odd- So a big thanks to Tristan (?) and O'Brien Plumbing from our family for punctual, quick, clean, courteous, friendly work!

Needed to replace it, and Kirk did a great job at a great price. Next, we added a split unit to heat/cool our two upstairs bedrooms. Install was reasonable and it worked well - until it didn't. The business changed owners a few years back, and it's been a struggle to keep the split units working. After some time, Jake came through and fixed our split unit, even adding a surge protector for free. I'm hoping things go smoothly from here. Be aware that surge protection is important on the mountain with all the unplanned outages we face.

Back in 2016, the heater at my house wasn't putting out much heat. The owner then was Kirk, and he replaced some parts. After he fixed those parts, some OTHER PARTS BROKE!!!! Kirk came back and realized the problem. I won't get into detail; but he put a new heater in, while DEDUCTING the price for the parts AND LABOR of the first job! On top of that; he knew I had just moved in and was spending tons of money repairing other things. Kirk agreed to let me make 3 payments for the job. That was 2016. Kirk retired. Now, about 3 weeks ago, I was finally tired of the lower level of the house being so darn cold as my gas prices were climbing more and more each year. I called Cantrell again. The new guys were just as professional and insightful. They instantly noticed that the "tubes" (I can't think of the other word for them!) had too small a diameter to pump sufficient air. They also hooked new tubes up for downstairs. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!!! MAN, OH MAN is it nice and warm downstairs. I've also noticed that the larger diametered tubes have resulted in the heater not being on as long as before to achieve the desired temperature. The new guys don't accept payments (they obviously take credit cards), but they're professional in every way. They answer the phones, keep in contact, keep their promise of when they're coming to work, then they leave after doing excellent repairs and upgrades. If something goes wrong with my heater or water heater; then Cantrell's is the only place I'm going to call. I bet you'll be just as pleased with them as I am!
