The mayority i own for adevnture and exploring are too heavy gor my medical nightmare. Francheska was amazing and help me out looking for good deals and perfect shoes. Walked out with a rugged crisscross type. Needed something light, durable and that held my ankle in place. I think they are Cabelas brand ones they were like $35 discounted. Lets say free cuz it finally happened. I used all my member points today lol killed most of my things. Then on the way out i donated to the Boy scouts of America. I was talking with the madam there that its crazy the Girls scouts got like cookies n cakes but the boys got popcorn? It make me crabby! They need jerky and rootbeer! We need like a health brand to make them like protein bars or something like that. Overall i had fun and survived not over buying, they got a crap ton of camping food at buy 2 get 1 free. But i fixed that by buying a dehydrator many years ago. If i had a freeze dryer? I would never need to buy anything in storm season and beyond. Easy camp food: make soups and stews. Then pour into dehydrator or high wall cookie pan and shove in oven as 176-245 degrees. Peel off the dried soup and shove into a zip lock or vacuum seal bag with a humidity packet. U can keep frozen without the packet for long time but these last perfectly for camping. Just add warm water and it rehydrates. Too much work? Then buy the specials its good. They usually 12$+ each bag feeds like two people or give you two meals. Which you can just open and reseal in smaller bags that way they last way longer n you camp longer. I think ill wait for fall to camp i want to take my iesel out and paint the beautiful yellow leaves. Maybe someone will trade me a watercolor for a beer lol

My son wanted a new bat after the holidays and so we went to Dick's. As soon as we walked in and began to look at the bats on display Nate greeted us and made us feel welcomed. He listened to my son who is only 10 and treated him with the same respect as he did me. After understanding what he wanted Nate shared with us it would have to be ordered. He did everything right there with us. He ordered the bat and discussed all the warranty options and how to handle if we had any issues. I was very impressed. My son was so happy when it arrived only a couple days later. Nate was professional and knowledgeable about so much more too. I found the gun department staffed with EXPERIENCED and attentive employees who participate in shooting activities like I enjoy and were able to offer a discount that made a good deal even better. I feel that if you exhibit the safety habits that make everyone on both sides of the counter feel comfortable and show employees that you would not be a danger to yourself or others you will find employees who are happy to serve and even train you depending on your experience level. Don't expect the same happy response from that employee if you show disrespect for gun safety or have nefarious ownership reasons because those employees protect my rights to legal ownership and the stores best interests which I rely on and keeps me coming back when ever the need dictates.

I recently found them and visited for the first time, within a few minutes, someone asked me what I needed help with and then my first visit I had several different employees helped me in different areas of the store. It was a very refreshing experience compared to what most retail experiences look like nowadays. Prices seemed fair and competitive with a good selection.

Told us we could purchase the floor model with an extra 10% off. Floor model had a pedal on the floor, stripped threads so it couldn't be used and (in addition) was broken. Didn't look like it was complete anyway and what was there was loose, poorly assembled and missing a few other items. Told us it was a discontinued model (always helpful to know) if we decided to order replacement parts for the missing and broken pieces. 10% additional off didn't do it. Not sure if it could be made serviceable again but far from any kind of deal. This is the kind of luck I've had with Sporting Super Stores. I'll pay the extra bucks and go somewhere a little more professional.

So when we were in the area and I saw this location I made sure to pop in and see what they had. It was clean throughout and everything was well organized into their specific sections. They did have a small section of collegiate gear for football, which is pretty standard for sports locations in the area as there are so many different teams for our state. I did find some cute things but didn't end up buying anything. However, the store was well kept and I could definitely see coming in here again if we were in the area just to see what else they might have next time. Overall: B+ Clean, while organized, and plenty of options to look through. I could see me coming in here again when we're back in the area.
