I walked in with a fishing reel that had completely seized up, not realizing that West Marine doesn't actually offer reel repair. Even so, Michael went above and beyond. He took time out of his own day to take a look at it, apply the grease I brought with me, and even take the reel apart a bit to diagnose the problem. He made it clear he was doing this on his own time just to help me out, and that really stood out to me. It's rare these days to find an employee who genuinely cares about helping a customer, especially when it's outside the scope of the store's services. Michael was knowledgeable, patient, and extremely kind throughout the whole interaction. Andrew helped inform us of the A-Zs for fishing at Skyway Pier, what types of species to expect as well as what tackle would be needed. He also showed how to rig and techniques to fish rigs.
