It was hot and very tasty. The owner wasn't there, but Megan did a great job of filling in. Everything about the room was perfect. The closet had a fridge and Kuerig with not just coffee! (Thank you as I love hot cocoa), the king bed was comfy and luxurious. It had a cute reading nook but the bathroom was spectacular. If I ever build a house this would be what I would add. The suite was well stocked with bubble bath, candles, nice towels and the comfiest robes. Bonus for Halloween candy! I would recommend this to anyone. We can't wait to come back.

To say we…read morewere pleased is an understatement--this was by far the best stay I've ever had in any hotel/inn, anywhere. We stayed in the Hunt Suite, which was beautifully appointed. We had all of the comforts of home: a fireplace, a fridge, a gigantic bed, a large en-suite bathroom, and a huge jacuzzi bathtub (big enough for the two of us to enjoy together!). Breakfast was served at our requested time and we enjoyed it both in our room an in the dining room with other guests, depending on the day. De Ann is an absolutely fantastic cook; her breakfasts aren't to be missed. While we didn't spend much time in it, there is a lovely back garden with a screened in gazebo, a bubbling fountain, and yard games for your enjoyment. The Roost is conveniently located close to Neenah, downtown Appleton, and about 30 minutes south of Green Bay. There's even a lovely house dog, Zada, who was very excited to greet us and give us all the kisses we could ask for. We will most certainly be back and are recommending Roost Bed & Breakfast to every single person we've met, both in Wisconsin and elsewhere. If you're thinking about visiting, please do--it is absolutely incredible and a 5 star experience!

We chose to…read morestay at the Astor House to make a mini vacation out of this trip as it was our first time ever without our 10-month-old son, as well as our first solo trip since our honeymoon two years ago. This was the best decision we could have made. We had such a lovely stay here. Tom and Linda were so friendly and welcoming. Tom showed us to our room upon arrival to make sure we knew where everything was, and he also provided us with local food recommendations (the taco pizza from Happy Joes was phenomenal). Linda makes the best breakfasts ever that we are still thinking about. We had breakfast delivered to our room the first morning, and we enjoyed breakfast on the patio the following morning. The house itself is stunning, and our room (Vienna Balconies) was clean, cozy, spacious, and inviting. The jacuzzi was wonderful, and we were even supplied with approved bath salts, along with delicious local chocolates. Such a perfect and romantic place! We cannot wait to return to Green Bay someday just to stay here again :) Thank you Tom and Linda for sharing your home with us!

We had the absolute best stay at the Astor House and both my husband and I said that we have never felt more welcome at any guest house or lodging than we did at the Astor House. Both Tom and Linda went above and beyond to make us feel cared for, tended to, and spoiled by their intentional hospitality. The breakfasts were 10/10 and we ended up talking about how delicious the food was all day long. We stayed in the Marseilles room which was beautifully decorated, stylish, very large space, and super comfortable king-sized bed. More than anything, Tom and Linda have a natural gift for making guests feel both comfortable and welcome, as if we were family staying in their home. We highly recommended staying at this BnB, and we will certainly be back again the next time we are in Green Bay!

This place has a Bed & Breakfast vibe. Breakfast was good, they'll make an omelette for you, but the breakfast hours are only 7-9am. It's weird they don't have someone working 24/7 like usual hotels. There's also no ice machine. You have to go to the bar and ask. The bar is nice. Lots of regulars so it's been busy. The place is right on the water and within walking distance to some restaurants and shopping. It's also smack dab in the middle of the farmer's market. It's a little 'old' but the vibes and character are cool. The stained glass windows in the restaurant are awesome. Restaurant was just OK. Both of our meals (my husband and I) were fine. We don't plan to eat there again. Thanks for a nice stay from us Nebraskans!

The beds were comfortable. Every morning you are given a choice of a home- cooked breakfast too. The garden out back is so pretty, and the whole feeling there is very peaceful and old- fashioned. It's close to town but not in the middle of it, which is perfect! There's a park within walking distance. I really don't like stuffy hotel rooms so this was just the right place to stay. This is a comfortable home. And, if you want a pool, there is a public one within a 5 min drive. I wish I had taken more pictures to post because it really is so lovely!! I stayed in most of the rooms during my time there and all the beds are comfortable. There are iPhone chargers in all the rooms, and there was complimentary WiFi, which allowed for both the ability to work after hours and to surf the Internet when relaxing. There was also plenty of privacy, but at the same time Kerri and Mike, the innkeepers, made me feel at home. Early each morning there was coffee and Kerri always made sure I had a travel mug to take into work. Additionally, Kerri was nice enough to offer me dinner several times during the long bleak winter. I stayed at one of the newer hotels in Waupaca during my first trip, and while I had no big complaints, it was just average across the board, while the Apple Tree Bed & Breakfast had those extra touches of home all in a ultra comfortable peaceful and private space. Thanks Kerri and Mike for making the winter bearable!
