It was so much fun watching the game with other fans. Almost everyone was wearing some Warriors gears. We're all cheering when the Warriors took over OKC briefly at one point. Such a great atmosphere. There're also some short games, performances, parachute/t-shirt giveaways. Never a dull moment. On the other hand, I was disappointed that Steve Curry was injured and we didn't have a chance to see him play. Warriors lost the game, but it was still a great experience for me. So much better than watching the game on TV. Go Warriors!

I think you do. which is why, roller derby lives again! it is a ridiculously entertaining cross between WWF and NASCAR, with funky, 70's realness, 4 wheeled skates (remember those?) and an enthusiastic crowd which was mostly families and hipsters when i went. roller derby is not something I know much about, I am not the WWF type, and I have never seen the reality show (Rollergirls?) so i was pretty clueless about what was going on--but it doesn't matter. you really don't have to know the rules to enjoy it. Just have some drinks and watch the girls (and guys) in shorts fly around the banked track, knocking each other down and doing a milder version of WWF-style takedowns, complete with skate kicks, flipping out of the ring, and generally scrubbing out on a regular basis. But don't worry, kids, the violence isn't real. The fans (who presumably do know what is going on, unlike me) are very enthusiastic, there is a scoreboard and everything, and the overall effect is the fun part of a sporting event, but on fast forward. and with hair-pulling. Also the skating itself takes talent, and is pretty amazing. And they all have great nicknames. I don't think they sell drinks there (maybe beer?) so make sure you get some drinks beforehand (pick a bar, any bar, on haight street, or kezar pub is right across the street from the entrance, if you like crowded smelly sports bars). or sneak drinks in, there was no security check. There is a parking lot next door, in case you can't find anything on the street. The tickets are around $10, the seating is bleacher style, and if you are from SF, you are rooting for the Bay City Bombers--colors are orange and black, like the giants. Last time I went to root for my friend Ron, #30 (Roll, Ronny, Roll!) and we made our own signs and fit right it. If i remember right, you can get sodas and popcorn there, not much else. For $10, this is something fun and different to do on a Sat night. And, it is over at 10 or 10:30, plenty of time to go out after. The next "bout" is Sat Aug 18th @ 8PM at Kezar. If 6 were possible, that would be my rating. And the skaters and crowds here are diverse, a true reflection of S.F.and inclusive of the Bay Area folk mix. A great time for family, bf, gf, bff , buds, Derby-curious and wannabes, whatever. Wonderful to see kids there having a great time too. And NOT EXPENSIVE an event at that!! Uh, $10 general, $5 kids!! I totally enjoyed the Bombers and Orlando Thunder game in February and look forward to their next Kezar game this month against the San Diego Firebirds. I haven't seen Kezar packed with a crowd like that in long time!! Roller Derby shows competition, skill, excitement, and gets the crowd into it. I was disappointed when Roller Derby went off the air/television and the league disbanded. It's totally awesome to once again have games regularly scheduled at Kezar. Easy to get to via public transit. And adequate parking for those who drive. And that the games are again being televised on KOFY TV20. This original Roller Derby is the only sport that's co-ed in alternating periods and done on the classic banked track. I prefer the co-ed than the all-girl, flat-surface/track leagues. Skating on a banked tracked is more difficult and requires real pro skill. They kick it up a notch to a higher level. The late great Ann Calvello hailed from San Francisco and was a Bomber herself. She revered the classic co-ed Roller Derby and would be proud of her Derby deciples and fans here. I like seeing some familiar faces and the new faces. And the new expansion teams. I will always be a die hard San Francisco Bay Bombers fan. I am happy to see the Pioneers, Red Devils and Chiefs still in the league, along with a couple of new teams. I think everybody should go see their first Roller Derby game, if they haven't already. You'll get hooked like I did. Big crowd, TV cameras, lotsa action. These skaters are jumpn', not just bumpin'. And they're flyin', showin' their swift moves. Although she gets her share of hits, that Lali-O can sure dish it out!! I truly wish there were more skaters to expand the league even more!! Some of you skate boarder dudes need to show what daredevils you really are.!! IFyou really are!! Bring on your X-skills to the banked track for some good team competition and do what you gotta do to put up them points on the scoreboard. It's okay to lose control. It's Roller Derby! They used to play at Candlestick Park for many years before moving to Oracle Park, which is a must stop for all lovers of baseball and the best food at any stadium. They even have a Ghirardelli. What more could you want. Everything they have there is great. All of the food is the best. They serve the best sundaes and they have pizza that is not just some frozen junk. And the crab sandwiches are great. We love their uniforms. They have special game nights. They often play super well and they are good sports. So, maybe they did not win the series this year--Who cares. They are a great team, in a great stadium home and they have sundaes--anything else.

Monday, May 25, 2026; 2:05 pm game against the D-backs at Oracle Park…read more We arrive via Bart to the Montgomery Street Station. This is the station right after the Embarcadero Station and a shorter walk to the ball field. It took us approximately 22 minutes to walk according to google. I didn't' time it, but that sounds correct. We didn't take the train to the front of the stadium. After a long ride on Bart we wanted to stretch our legs before sitting down again. It was a quick walk as we chatted with friends. We came all decked out in our Jerseys. I wore a Willie Mays jersey that fit perfect. Since it was to be a little chilly I wore a black thermal top under it and a Giants windbreaker over it. It was perfect. Our seats were in the sun so as the sun shown I shed my jacket and when the clouds came I put it back on. That happened the duration of the game. The walk was brutal to get to the top deck. We walked up ramp after ramp. Apparently we missed the escalator entrance. Next time we're going to have to find that entrance. We're going back the 10th of June, 2026 so we have a little time to figure it out. We also have time to figure out parking as we are taking my dad and don't want to have him deals with Bart and the long wall. There is also the ferry which we should have taken as it would have been a shorter walk. Sadly it's not running on JUne 20h so that is out of the question. Parking is going to be expensive, but worth it for the connivence for my dad. This is our Father's Day gift to him and he deserves the best. We were all the way at the top and I didn't realize that the burger I wanted was on the 3rd deck. We were committed to the top deck to so we had to forge for food. They had lots of sausages and popcorn, but I really wanted my burger. Half way down the deck I found an offer of burgers with 2 patties and a side of garlic fries for $22. That sounded outrageous as it wasn't even a name brand burger it was just normal ball park food. Oh, well if I wanted a burger this was the only place to go on our deck. My fries had a little amount of the garlic on top while our friends was piled high with garlic. He got the hotdog and garlic fries combo. He really lucked out. The fires were crispy like I enjoy them. Especially nice since I don't eat soggy fries and usually the garlic fries are soggy due to being piled high with garlic. The burger was actually really good and filling. After the burger I no longer had room for the Girardelli Sunday. I was so sad as I really wanted one. In addition the cart was at our level a quick walk from our seats. It's usually never that close. Next time I'm going to have to eat less. I'm not sure if that is possible as I only ate half the burger and shared the rest with my husband so I really didn't eat a lot. It must have been that double patty ti came with. It didn't advertise a double patty, but that's how it came. We also brought snacks in a ziplock as we totally forgot our clean baseball bag. We brought skinny pop that had no flavor, a total disappointment. Ranch Sunflower seeds. The boys loves those two treats. I also brought some dried mango that were delicious in my opinion, but I had no takers form the boys. The seats were high up, but we couldn't complain as they were only $10. What a deal. They had a one day sale and we snagged 4, but ended up with only 3 of us. Not a big loss since they were so cheap. We had a great view of foul balls and home runs. We really got to see those home run balls fly to the outfield. There were some really. Good plays, but we still lost. That was so sad. Overall we had a fun time and we look forward to going back June 10th for a mid week game sitting at club level seats. Not $10, but still a good deal. It will be more convenient for my day, better views and closer to the bathrooms and hopefully the lines will be shorter. I found the bathroom lines to be very long in the women's room. I was surprised because when we go to the AAA team the RiverCats the lines are nonexistent.

The swimmers are between 8-18 yo.The team is racially diverse and is a great bunch of families. The parents are leading the efforts and it's really fun. The Board is composed current swimmers parents and are very involved. All parents are expected to volunteer and participate in various activities. It's a great community rallied around the athletes who are encouraged to perform. Potential swimmers have to pass a tryout period to be accepted into the team. Easy parking around Hamilton pool.

What is different is that the general manager and head coach are both women. The team took their maiden voyage last week and was treated to rousing support by locals. The demographics are a bit different from NBA team but the enthusiasm reminds me of those Warrior fans from the mid to late 2000's who stuck with the home team through thick and thin... and there was a lot of thin, trust me. There were over 18,000 in attendance for the regular season home opener on a Tuesday night. Many of my seat neighbors are also Warrior season ticket holders from varying locations in the arena. It is great to see this fanbase rewarded with its own team, only the 2nd in California now (the Sacramento team folded several years ago). The WNBA with its roster of star power with Caitlyn Clark, Paige Bueckers fresh out of college, the stars from the Las Vegas Aces and New York Liberty, which include Sabrina Ionescu, an East Bay native has raised its popularity exponentially. Looking forward to seeing how they gel this season and it'll fun to see the local fanbase support them. The crowd is very similar to the We Believe fanbase in Oakland except the cheers are an octave higher. The ticket prices are prohibitively less expensive than Warrior tickets so you'll definitely see a more diverse audience at games. We were fortunate to experience the 1st win for this team that's making history with every achievement. Go catch a game and you'll know what the buzz is about... who knows, if you're a hoops fan like me, you might be hooked too.

We attended the season opener at the Richmond Memorial Auditorium this past Saturday, the SF Rolling Dead vs the Oakland Outlaws, and it was entertaining and interesting learning about the sport, as this was our first time watching. The first whistle took place two hours after the doors opened. We arrived a bit early, so we checked out the merchandise vendors in the lobby, and got a couple drinks from the bar, the Crimson Cowboy (Oakland Outlaws themed cocktail) and Vodka Grim-let (SF Rolling Dead themed cocktail). They were both delish, as we rooted for the Bunnies during the juniors game, before start time for the main event. Pickles N Smoke also sold bbq dishes on site, but there was a long line for this, especially at intermission. The game lasted no more than one and a half hours, including the break. And watching the players on the floor do their thing made me wanna go skating too (without the full contact). Never knew how much I'd enjoy the roller derby :)
