First time watching an NBA game in person last Tuesday. My husband is a big Warriors fan. I was wearing one of his long sleeve Warriors t-shirt, and he's wearing a Warriors jersey. It was so much fun watching the game with other fans. Almost everyone was wearing some Warriors gears. We're all cheering when the Warriors took over OKC briefly at one point. Such a great atmosphere. There're also some short games, performances, parachute/t-shirt giveaways. Never a dull moment. On the other hand, I was disappointed that Steve Curry was injured and we didn't have a chance to see him play. Warriors lost the game, but it was still a great experience for me. Taking my three kids on a day trip to San Francisco to watch the Golden State Warriors face off against our team, the Dallas Mavericks, was by far one of the greatest experiences of my life. As Mavericks fans, we were decked out in our Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving jerseys, surrounded by a sea of passionate Warriors fans in their home stadium. The energy was absolutely electric! Luka delivered an unforgettable performance, scoring 45 points, while Klay Thompson put up 29 for the Warriors. Despite being the "away" fans, everyone was incredibly friendly and respectful. The game was intense, and as the score got closer, my kids kept glancing at me nervously, whispering, "Dad, please don't let us lose this game. These fans are going to eat us alive!" Their faces lit up with pure joy when we did win the game. Walking out of the stadium in our Mavericks jerseys, surrounded by Warriors fans, felt like such a proud moment for them. It wasn't just about the victory it was about the experience, the energy, and the fun of cheering on their team together. The Chase Center itself is beautiful, with clean facilities and breathtaking views of the ocean from the lobby areas. However, parking near the stadium is very pricey expect to pay around $60 if you park close by. We found a street parking spot a little further away, near some shops, and paid $40 for three hours. While it meant a 10-minute walk to the stadium, the walk itself was enjoyable and added to the experience. The atmosphere during the game was unbeatable. My 4-year-old daughter was jumping and cheering along with the crowd, and it was heartwarming to see everyone, regardless of team loyalty, getting along and sharing the moment. Watching Steph Curry play in person was something else his skill and movement are mesmerizing in real life, even more than on TV. As we were leaving, we passed a massive Christmas tree outside. Though we don't celebrate Christmas due to our religious beliefs, the festive decorations were stunning and added to the evening's charm. We also noticed a group of fans gathered by what looked like a sports news station, where someone opened a sliding door to sign a jersey just one of many examples of how much Warriors fans love their team. This was, without a doubt, one of the best basketball games I've ever attended. My kids and I had an amazing time and would absolutely come back for another event. read more

What an incredible experience I had at the Golden State Warriors brand new stadium in San Francisco. This revamped section of San Francisco is extremely walkable, and the atmosphere at the stadium was electric. I attended a game on Monday and it was nothing short of thrilling. Despite three players being ejected from GSW in the first 2 minutes, the game was still a nail-biter. The energy in the stadium was palpable, and it's clear that this new venue is a major draw for GSW and all sports fans. I have been a long time fan since the TMC days. I have been to a number of games in the past when it was at Oracle Arena. I went to the preseason game at the new Chase Center two weeks ago. I made the mistake of walking out of the new arena because of that very annoying jingle on the radio, I had to go through two entrances to finally get back inside and then had someone who saw me leaving for a very long time and had not return and was concerned because I had left all my stuff in the upper level of the arena. The person saw me and helped me get the attention of someone who finally was able to get me back inside to retrieved my stuff. I do not know if all of the employees have been trained especially with treating people such as those who are disabled. Especially those who have hidden disabilities. I have written a message to the Warriors front office regarding what occurred and hope that it gets to the person in charge. Hope that it has been fixed in time for the first regular game that began this evening. read more

Nothing was guaranteed or given. It was a different game each night, and tonight we won the third consecutive game of these Finals. Our guys played so well and the Celtics were a fierce opponent. I am beyond proud. The Warriors have provided me w/ a refuge and respite from the ugliness of the world and the pandemic, even during the previous two seasons when our record wasn't good, and for that I am grateful. A friend of ours purchased tickets for him and my family to see a golden state warriors game thru stub hub. on the ticket website we did not see any indication that that tickets were were purchasing were for standing room only. when we arrived at the stadium the person directing seating said , see in little letters it says sro .. that means standing room only. He said we needed to go back to the ticket office, which was in another part of the chase center, and talk to them.. well after an additional $400 per person per ticket we were given seats that we could sit in. I sent a letter to the CEO of the golden state warriors relating our experience, as we imagine the warriors are receiving some money for their organization from the companies which are selling tickets to their games. Its been over a week now and no response from the warriors CEO. it appears that they do not care how their loyal fans are treated !!!! So be it , we are sadly no longer warriors fans! Yes ladies and gents, it's my *500th* review! And, I'm dedicating this one to none other than my beloved Dubs! I wasn't always a fan of the Warriors. Growing up, my Dad was always invested in this team. He would watch them play and route for them even when their track record wasn't the greatest. He wasn't a diehard, but he was a believer. Oh, and he got major sh!t for it, let me tell ya! A man that was born in Brooklyn and raised in South Central... rooting for OAKLAND?! Well, he was just ahead of his time I guess, even back then. Although he was a believer, I wasn't at the time. I just wasn't really into the game the way that I am now. It wasn't until I started dating a dedicated fan, that I became a fan myself. Seeing how much joy that Golden State brought to him made me want to learn what they were all about. And that, I did. Fast forward to now and my love for this team is unlike any other. No matter what team that you're rooting for, you cannot deny the incredible talent that the Warriors possess. Steph Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson; these are damn near household names. If you haven't heard of them by now, then you MUST be living under a rock! The skill set of this team is simply unparalleled! Once the underdog and now the leader. And they are truly a team! You can see their bond from a mile away. Everybody gets to shine and everybody puts in that work! From your Shaun Livingston 3-pointers, to your David West swat blocks, to your Andre Iguodala steal and dunks; even the bench has that glow. And, don't rule out the newbies! I'll take a Kevon Looney lay-up or a Patrick McCaw 3-pointer any day! And let's not forget about that little ray of sunshine named Kevin Durant. He is my personal favorite and probably one of the best trades that the team has ever made, in my opinion. There's no better feeling than going to a live Dubs game. The blue and gold crowds, the contagious energy, and the passion of our team. There's just a special feeling of unity that you feel while you sit amongst the crowd and cheer. It ain't called the "roaracle" for nothin' y'all! This crowd doesn't scream or shout; we ROAR and we do it loud and proud! There's never a dull moment when you're following that blue and gold! The Dubs... oh yeah, they sure know how to keep it entertaining! But even after all of that, what I enjoy the most about this team is what it has done for the community. They put the town on the map and they never forgot about where they came from. They are constantly donating their time and money to local charities, and helping the city in as many ways as they can. Their support for Oakland is what truly makes me proud. They are shedding their great light on the best city in the Bay Area and allowing people to see the true beauty of these streets. On Yelp, three stars means "A-OK." That's how I feel about the Golden State Warriors. They're OK by me. Disclaimer: I'm a San Antonio Spurs and Atlanta Hawks fan. The Warriors are a great franchise. They've dominated the NBA in recent years with championships in 2015, 2017, and 2018. I have a lot of respect for the Warriors because their success, like the Spurs, was built through the draft. They drafted Stephen Curry in 2009 (7th pick), Klay Thompson in 2011 (11th pick), and Draymond Green in 2012 (35th pick). I like their coach, Steve Kerr, who helped the Spurs win two championships as a player. However, as amazing as a player as he is, I am not a fan of Kevin Durant. I think he should've stayed in OKC and continued to try and build something there with Russell Westbrook. They were close in 2012, making it to the Finals against the Miami Heat. Instead, KD decided to ride the coattails of Steph, Klay, and Draymond. For that reason, I'll never consider KD as one of the great champions of the NBA like Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan, Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade, and Dirk Nowitzki are. Those are guys that stuck it out and won championships with the franchises they started with. The low point in Warriors history to me was in Game 1 of the 2017 Western Conference Finals. The Warriors faced the Spurs. These were the top two teams in the NBA at the time. When Kawhi Leonard elevated for a jump shot, Zaza Pachulia slid his foot under Kawhi causing Kawhi to land on Zaza's foot and sprain his ankle. I used to be a fan of Zaza because of his time with the Hawks, but not after this incident. My favorite memory of the Warriors before the Steph Curry era was when they upset the Dallas Mavericks in the 2007 Playoffs. The Warriors were the 8th seed and the Mavs were the 1st seed. The Mavs were hot off an appearance in the 2006 Finals. Behind Baron Davis, Stephen Jackson, and Jason Richardson, the Warriors upset the Mavs, 4 games to 2. I remember staying up late on work nights to watch the games because they were so exciting. And that was just the first round. Snoop Dogg was the Warriors' big celebrity fan sitting courtside at the time. GSW is also a long way from the Tim Hardaway and Chris Mullin NBA Jam days (1993). Together with Mitch Richmond, they were known as "Run TMC." Both eras (1988-95 and 2006-10) were coached by Don Nelson. How times have changed. read more

It's bittersweet, they're coming back to SF, but it's not the same as Cow Palace many moons ago. It will be another "messy" situation just to get out of Mission Bay similar to getting in & out of a Giants game. Fortunately, Oracle Arena has been smooth sailing, their staff have it down when it comes to directing traffic and taking money for parking. It's where South Bay, North Bay, East Bay, SF and beyond all come together to enjoy some exciting basketball. It's nice to see some of my old and new friends across the Bay. If you're lucky and score Suite tickets from friends/family, the entire Suite has food catered during game days. The seats are amazing, comfortable, and the views are dynamic. The Suite is pretty sssssuuuuiiiiittttteeeee! The energy is electrifying, who doesn't love to see the Warriors play? It's already expensive to take the entire family to see any live game these days, I'd hate to see how much more it'll cost us once they're back in SF, excluding parking. There's no Bart for those of us who live in Marin, and the Ferry cost the same as parking both ways if not more. Also, the Ferry doesn't run late, so you're SOL after a certain time...stuck like Chuck! In the meantime, I will enjoy every moment of the GS Warriors playing in Oaktown. Who can not give * * * * * to a team that's made it to the NBA Finals in 2016-17 as well as 2015-16 and 2014-15 ??? Or how about my first game of the season versus the Pelicans where Steph Curry made NBA history with 13 three-pointers. I am still reveling in their amazing wins. A fan since the days of Monta Ellis and Baron Davis when tickets were in the $20 range and roses were given out on Valentine's Day, the Warriors always continue to impress. My wife surprised me with tickets to my first ever Warriors game. Sadly, it was one of the worst experiences of my life. She was not aware at the time what SRO (Standing Room Only) meant on the tickets. Despite the shock and disappointment of not having a seat, I tried to stay positive and tell her it would still be an enjoyable experience. This couldn't have become further from the truth. We were then treated AWFUL by the staff. We were told we could NOT SIT in our small little box presented to us on the floor because we would "violate" the "standing room only." I thought that was a bit ridiculous but reassured myself it would be fine. Afterall, I was getting to experience my first Warriors game. Except I didn't. As soon as the folks who finally got to the court minutes before tipoff grabbed their seats directly in front of us, they completely blocked the view of the court. I approached the staff nearby complaining that I paid tickets, yes even SRO tickets, to see the Warriors play and I couldn't do this. He assured me I still could by watching the game on the big screen. I couldn't believe it. If I want to watch the Warriors play basketball on the big screen I'll do it in the comfort of my own home where I can sit down and enjoy the experience. We flew from Virginia on a series of connecting flights that took us over 15 hours to finally make it to San Francisco. We had high hopes filled with excitement. All of this was a complete letdown. We paid $560 to stare at the back of people's heads with actual game tickets in the arena. It's not just a rip off, it's a joke. I would strongly advise you all to NEVER BUY THESE TICKETS (SRO)!! At the very least, the company should explicitly explain to people the experience they are in for in the description of those tickets so no one has to experience the disappointment we did last night. I was there. 2007 Game 5 NBA Western Conference 1st Round when the 8th seeded Warriors knocked off the number 1 seed Dallas Mavericks. The building was rocking and was about as loud and raucous as it's ever been. Since then there really hasn't been much to cheer about. Last season brought out another year of frustration and the high hopes of the fan base tossed into the gutter. Now here we are in 2011 and a lockout threatens the start of the NBA regular season. Whichever side you support, it's the fan who gets hurt the most. Typically this is the time of year we Warrior fans start looking at the schedule and contemplate what it would take to make the playoffs. I have news for you, if there is no season there will be no playoffs. At least this means I won't have to stomach watching the Lakers in the post season. My list of MOST hated teams is long. Lakers, Clippers, Mavericks, Spurs, Rockets, Jazz, Celtics, Bulls, Suns and Kings (Sorry Sacramento, Northern California is Warrior country). But one team will always be near and dear to my heart. But this review isn't just about the Warriors. It's about the NBA and the years of enjoyment they have given me. But the 2011 season is jeopardy and my February can be very empty and void of sports fun. To Archie G, Bill Russell is the greatest basketball player ever. What can I say about the GSW? My first time watching a game @ Oracle was 6 years ago and counting. Even then they have been on a loosing streak for a while now, I can never have any hard feelings on them. I love basketball and since there the only team in the bay, I have to give them my support. I have had several good memories inside the Oracle, despite their over priced food! hahah I still remember getting into an argument with someone about who will win! We were lucky enough to see a play off game before the Finals, The Spurs. We had Section 2 which we got a break on thru our employer. Normally we don't sit in those sections but we made an exception for the opportunity. The game was a blow out, but still fun to attend. Drinks on the other end are ridiculously priced, which is real BS when you consider the ticket prices and exorbitant parking of $40. Worst part of the event parking is the exiting, it is a complete free for all rodeo. While they direct you coming in, there is no policing to leave, and it's a real mess, not to mention the intoxicated drivers. Too bad we don't have a major venue closer to the North Bay for concerts, because We avoid driving in the Bay Area unless a major act is in town. read more

Because of all the bad behind us, still can't believe we won it all!! A team that plays as a team on offense, defense, and all 12-14 guys. Tonight, after winning their 2nd NBA Championship in 3 years, I just had to write a short review update. I have never been a bandwagon fan. Have suffered through so many awful years since I first became a Warrior fan in the 80s. Fast forward to today.....WOW!!!! I feel like I am floating on air!
