How ironic? CCSF decided to name their Noe campus Castro/Valencia. Perhaps they're trying to hide…read morethe place and keep non-Noe types out? Noe is so clicky like that, everyone has a stroller, a dog or one of those baby pouch/sling things. Well haha you stroller-pushers I found it and I'm not leaving. I've been taking classes here for the past three years of my SF life. This may be my longest SF relationship if you don't count my on/off affair with Craigslist. That's an affair with CL not people found on CL. I like my men in my bed and not on my screen, thank you very much. Why does the Noe campus rock big time? 1. They mainly offer languages courses so if you're a language nerd like me you can certainly get your foreign on while eyeing cuties who are either linguaphiles, globe trotters or plain simple culture snobs. 2. There's a PTA run snack bar that helps raises money for junoir high SFers who are going abroad. 3. Professor Morel works there and she is one of the best teachers I have ever had, trust me I know the education sh*t. 4. The classes are uber cheap. That's right, twenty bucks per unit. 5. You can register online and never visit the Phelan office if you're a continuing education student. 6. Free parking-get there early for the first few weeks before the mass exodus of the drop-outs. So there goes my 100th yelp which was defintely something dear to my heart.

Would be 5 stars except for the shitty attitude of the well-marbled registration lady who refused…read moreto help me check the status of an important message I left for my instructor. It is 2009 and homey does not use email nor does he have a direct line on which I may contact him. According to all relevant sources (i.e the City College website) the only way of getting said professor information before the commencement of class was to call the Castro/Valencia main number and leave a message. I did just that and simply wanted to confirm the message was received and delivered. I'm sorry I made more work for you. I'm sorry that my request managed to ruffle your feathers to such an extent that you had to do the whole ghetto eye roll, huffing and puffing bit. It must be tough in your world. Despite my previous paragraph of bitching, I do love this campus. The site supervisors are nice and HELPFUL. Castro/Valencia consistently has the classes I want to take, and best of all it is a 5 minutes walk from my house. Score.

Sad to see this location go, but happy to hear of another exciting one close by!…read more Method Made SF was a great pop up and the dopest store / art gallery on the block! The location was right next to a coffee shop, where you could sip on your drink while gazing at wonderful and unique works of art! A hidden gem, this place offered entertainment for the artistic and creatives! They sold artwork, merch, and apparel! Truly one of a kind pieces that showcase the true meaning of community, art, and passion! My bf loves his long sleeve that he bought, and I see their stickers everywhere! They really go the distance! Service is top notch hospitality and authenticity, and the value and quality of the pieces are timeless and embody true small business core values!

So...I was walking to a friend's birthday meet up in the Mission, and passed by this little gallery…read morewith a coffee shop in the front of it. The chalkboard sign caught my attention, and I kept walking...until I thought: why not go meander around inside? I kinda lucked out! Randomly ran into the creator of Tod the Bunny. He was super friendly and briefly walked me through his art. After that, Patrick who owns the shop (runs it/created the space), was super kind to walk me through everything being displayed. He talked about Tod the Bunny's inspiration wall, and I took a sticker home with me (he might have known about my secret sticker obsession). There was a wonderful showing in memoriam to Paul Escolar, and funds are being raised to help his family. Pieces he designed for Freehand Yo Yo were on display, too. Super informative, and broadened my appreciation for the lost artist. I loved the mock ups for a variety of gear with their many artist collaborations. It was a clean space, that really displayed a vibrant collection of hand-picked local Bay artists. And I liked hearing about the special pen collabs, because I geek out over pens like I'm back in Jr. High. There's nothing like finding that perfectly flowing ink pen that harmonizes with every stroke you make, and even makes you love your mistakes. Highly recommend checking this spot out. I'll have to come back and try the coffee, too. I might be a little partial because 1. I saw some cool vest made from a TJ's bag, or 2. I recognized 2 of the artists works in the gallery. It's like a gentle hug from the universe telling me to continue following your intuition: inspiration and satisfaction are out there to be discovered.
