vegan wet burrito with a delicious homemade hot sauce and garlic tobasco
    Athonia C.

Vegan and vegetarian types: i confirmed their rice and beans are both vegan. Get the vegan wet burrito with their mild but delicious homemade hot sauce. If you want more heat add the garlic Tabasco. i found the ambience about average for a so called traditional authentic place. no frills. service was fast and was able to confirm plant-based burrito possibilities if you pay cash its cheaper too!

Great customer service (Ace), the food is delicious tastes like my moms home cooked meals. if you want fast and friendly service this is the place for yo, you won't be disappointed.

    Barely any meat.. definitely unforgettable

Almost no meat... this is a $21 bean and rice burrito. The guacamole was sparse. I didn't know it was there until 3/4 of the way down the burrito luckily it wasn't in the whole burrito because it was very good. I love Mexican food and I was excited to get this but it's very disappointing. And let me tell you that this is the first time I have ever written a review in 39 years of living.

The service was good, the food as well, it was delightful, I will be coming back here when I am around.

    California Benedict

Tried Senor Chiliquiles on 41st just behind Cafe Cruz. It was maybe 11am-ish and there were few other patrons. The place was clean and spacious. The waitress greeted and seated us in a comfy booth. I think the menu items offered covered a good variety. The California Benedict came with bacon vs ham and with avocado. It was delicious. The hashbrowns were good as well. The Senor Chiliquiles burrito was a decent size and since I'd fasted for a day I sure as heck ate it all. I also ordered chocolate coco. It was so good I coulda drank a pot of that vs coffee. I'm keeping that in mind when I'm craving hot chocolate the right way.

    Birria

First time here and let me tell you, the food was very good! I would recommend this place. Food was fast, place was clean, our waiter was very nice. Lots of different food options, i tried the birria and chilaquiles which were both very good. Would 100% come back!

AI (so it sounds EpiC!!!!!!!!) says: "San Marco Taqueria in Capitola is a pretty popular spot, known for its solid Mexican food, and their breakfast burrito is definitely a crowd favorite! If I remember right, their breakfast burritos are loaded with a good mix of eggs, bacon or sausage, hash browns, and cheese, all wrapped in a soft flour tortilla. They've got that perfect balance of hearty and comforting--plus, their salsa is pretty legit! Have you been there before or just heard good things about their breakfast burrito?" The breakfast burrito was hot. (temperature-wise) It was filled with plenty of fillings, but potatoes and eggs only go so far. The winning solution was the salsa in the ketchup squeeze bottle looking things at the window. Unfortunately, I ran low on that stuff not even half way consuming the burrito. Fortunately, the burrito was a decent size. Win some, lose some. Got a chorizo breakfast burrito and wasn't overwhelmed by the meat content. Sort of wanted that to happen. Nice outdoor seating with a window to the outside, probably for serving customers who didn't want a roof. Bowls of water (a couple, at least) for the dog were found outside. Don't forget the salsa. (That's your flavor...everything else...meh...)

On the way back home we stopped by this little Taqueria restaurant. There's no parking spaces here, we parked over the bank since it's on Sunday, empty. The restaurant is clean, the salsa bar is right there with all the great stuff, the amazing thing is the chips all you can eat are there too. The chips and salsa here are the best anywhere, even better than Mexico or Cancun. So crispy, light, and the pico de gallo is excellent and fresh. I had the fish tacos, plentiful but a little surprised since the fish is not fried as all the places I've been, it's sauteed or steemed, no vegetables like shredded cabbage or anything, just lots of fish chunks and soft taco shell. Anyhow, it's fresh and delicious. Our other members ordered beef, pork tacos and they're so mouth watering too. There are so many young people like students coming to this place, so crowded and lucky we got the table to finish our foods quickly so others can sit. I tried the rice drink and it's like rice water and sugar, it's good but extremely sweet. This is the place I will visit after a long hiking day, it's wonderful and I love the chips and salsa here.

It was a chicken burrito with refried beans, no rice & carne asada fries. He also threw my receipt at me. I get it if you under pressure, but never take it out on a paying customer because you can't work well under pressure. He left a bad taste in my mouth with his bad attitude. I will not be coming back. Be kind to your customers especially i was trying to help you. Lol. The meat was overly cooked. The burrito still had rice in it. Fries were very oily. I still tipped him, even though he didn't deserve any of it. Bad service. Bad attitude.

Happy hour plating size is smaller than the full menu size but the amount of food was perfect for my group of 3. They gave a generous amount of chicken+shrimp on the tacos so we put the extra meat on the nachos! The shrimps are grilled with a smoky charred flavor and the chicken is so juicy and flavorful, almost having a curry/tumeric taste. So delish. Staff is super nice and our waiter was super helpful. The steak tacos were pricey for the amount you get but the meat was good. The enchiladas were probably the most worth and were tasty though the beans weren't particularly good. Service was solid though and The outdoor seating facing the beach is really nice and they do have heat lamps since it can get chilly. Parking in downtown Capitola is a little crowded (and most of it is paid parking) so you'll prolly need to do a short walk. Didn't think about it until my son asked, but we were pretty much done eating at that point. We also had to pay for chips and salsa. Never a fan of that. The bag of chips and the salsa containers were also small. If you're going to charge, you should make it worth it for the customer(s). With tip, it was just over $70 bucks in total. Overall we all enjoyed our meal. Next time I'll look for the guacamole earlier, to make sure we get it! The location is near my son's place, so we will likely be back!
