I have taken my car to sewell subaru a few times in the last year. I know they are a bit on the pricey side but they are still amazing. The full point inspection along with video including commentary on all suggested repairs is huge. As a woman i grew up being told to be careful with mechanics as they would lie and try to upsell me. The way they show and explain things gives me so much peace of mind. I have never felt like they were trying to get one over on me and thats super important. You gotta going a mechanic you can trust. Next- they provide a free loaner car. As someone that lives alone and has one car, this is huge for me. It gives me so much peace of mind that i can still get around and dont have to uber and spend extra money. I also like that they provide complimentary snacks and beverages. They have water, soda, coffee, tea. They even offered me some chocolates when i picked up my car. I drive an old beater (2011) and they have never pressured me about replacing it. They have provided some information regarding trading it in or lease/loan options which i appreciate. The service advisors are friendly and helpful. You can communicate with then via text, email or phone call and they are friendly, helpful and extremely responsive. After trying to fix a recurring issue on my car that I had brought in for the third time with the same issue, I wanted to speak with a manager to ensure the garage did something different or tried to replace the part that kept failing. Ryan argued with me over the phone, and when I told him why I was upset, he pointed out that they didn't charge me to look at that particular problem the last time I came in even though I had noted it and wanted it fixed. I felt like I was being accused of being a cheapskate or asking for something for free, when all I wanted was them to fix a window that would not roll up for a few YEARS. I then arrived 20 min before close and he had car ready for me. He did not pressure me as it got close to close time. Chris was so helpful, professional, and knowledgeable about the car. I just wanted to share my sincere appreciation for the incredible service experience I received at Sewell Subaru. My Service Advisor Samantha was always quick to reply to my questions by text - even easier! - even when she was out sick one day! That's SUPER SERVICE. She also was very helpful in finding some creative alternatives to helping us get our issue solved. I also was especially appreciative that any thing I asked about like an issue with the door window even out of warranty, she immediately offered what they could do to clean it and in effect repair it and at no charge. Sewell also always treats you like family with loan cars and free car washes. Also props to my tech Michael who was super quick and did a great job on my repairs. Also when you are out of warranty, Sewell treats you just like you just bought it from them. The Sewell waiting area is also very comfortable and inviting with a place to work, play with your kids and free WiFi, gourmet coffee and even snacks - I couldn't believe it! Nathan helped me find my dream car! He was patient, helpful and very kind. He never pushed me and was always able to answer any questions I had honestly. This was the first car I have ever purchased, so I'm grateful I had Nathan to help guide me through trading in my old car and getting into my new one. I cannot say enough great things about Sewell. I've been going to their Service Dept for years and had great interactions (having purchased my car before moving to TX). After a hail storm severely damaged the car, I worked with Justin at their Collision Center to navigate damage and insurance. He was thorough and patient helping me understand the situation and next steps. Due to the areas of the damage, my insurance determined it to be a total loss, so I went back to Sewell to purchase a replacement. Car buying can be stressful, but not here. We worked with Max to find the right car. Again, he took the time to review what we were looking for and answered ALL of my questions (and I ask a lot!). Max was able to reserve the car for us for a few days while we waited for the insurance check to come in alleviating any fear of having the car we wanted being sold before we could purchase. Service We were greeted with from a young women from behind the counter. All the sales associates were busy with another customer so she took down our names and offered us a beverage. There is plenty of sitting space and it smelled of fresh lien throughout the store. My husband and I only waited for about 3 minutes and then we were helped. The sales associate as a few questions to understand what my husband was looking for and in no time we were test driving a WRX. The worst service experience I've had was at this Subaru dealer, and this is my 4th Subaru. Warranty headliner replacement for 22' WRX turned out to be a big mistake. First they damage bunch of trim pieces which Sewell paid promptly for, after contacting manager as their advisors are less than worthless. They never answer phone but that's story for another day. About month later I noticed FM/AM and SXM doesn't work... I never listen to radio but my phone died so I wanted to listen to some local stations. Took the car back to this dealership and after having it for 4 days! They concluded that antenna is bad but no ETA due to being on back order I went ahead and ordered used one from eBay and installed it myself. You can guess it, the antenna wasn't bad... they forgot to plug in one of the cables behind a pillar when they were swapping headliners. I had a great sales man but the service department deserves 0 stars. Will not set foot at this location. read more

I came to test drive an Outback, I had done a lot of research and I had compiled a list of cars I wanted to drive and I was lucky to have landed ''D'' when I made an appointment. I had a great test drive, was allowed to test all the things I wanted to, and it was love at first drive. (with the car) That was a year ago, since then I have brought the car back for service and the free washes, both are great! Before Covid I used to have ''cars wash/lunch dates'' with a friend, we would have scheduled washes for our cars and eat lunch in the comfortable waiting area. Now, during Covid, everybody wears a mask and your car will be disinfected before it is returned to you. My car has had a few problems, but because I am still in warranty I haven't had any costs and Sewell has been great with customer care, fixing the problems, providing me with updates and loan cars. And although it has been a year ''D'' has been wanting me to keep him up to date and he is still involved and cares about me and my car's well being. I am very happy with the Sewell experience, the great service guys I have dealt with and most of all ''D'' as my sales person. And I love my Subaru Outback. This review is the first impression Service Department review, where we went to drop off Jamie's new car to get an remote starter installed. This Service location could not be more opposite our service experience at Plano Subaru last week, when we drove up to pick up Jamie's plates and get them installed: Last week at Plano Subaru: we pulled into the service department, waited 10 minutes for someone to process us, and nobody came. I went inside to ask for help, and nobody came out to help us, even though at least three service reps were standing within listening-hearing distance. The receptionist told us she could help us in about 10 minutes, and I walked out and we drove home. My worst car service experience ever. This week at Sewell Subaru: we pulled into the Service bay, and a service rep was waiting to process us before the car fully stopped. The rep was attentive, efficient, polite, and eager to please, making sure all our questions were answered and that we understood the process for the day. We went inside, got a cup of coffee, and Jamie gave her insurance and DL to the cashier (required for our use of a loaner car for the day). We took off in the loaner car, a nice new Forrester, and headed off, with the taste of world class service lingering on our palates. Night and day experiences, for two different Subaru service departments about 15 miles away from each other. What a difference management and people make for businesses that you would expect to be near identical, incredible. We got our car in Plano, because it was priced about $4K less than the Sewell price, but we will always bring it here for service as long as we are in Dallas, no question. read more
