I had an unpleasant experience with the service department here recently. The customer service at this location is awful. When I walked in, I was not greeted. All of the employees were on their laptops and not paying attention to customers. I literally had to ask someone to help me check in for my scheduled service appointment. I was scheduled to have my windshield repaired and was told it would be completed by the end of the day. I was also told I would not receive a loaner because my car would be ready the same day, so I had to arrange my own transportation. I was told that the service advisor would provide status updates, yet hours went by without any communication. I eventually had to reach out myself to see if my car was being worked on. After I contacted them, I was told that my car hadn't even been started until 4 p.m. even though my appointment was at 10 a.m. This location clearly accepts more appointments than it can handle in a day and does not deliver according to the timeline they provide. I was then told I would now receive a loaner since my car wouldn't be ready the same day, despite being told earlier that it would be. Additionally, I was rushed to sign the loaner agreement. The loaner they provided was dirty and an older model that I didn't know how to operate because it was different from my car. I even had to ask someone how to change the gears. It also had some scratches on the front bumper of the drivers side. I will never return to this location for service. read more

I visited this service center yesterday to pick up my Model 3 and had an incredible experience. I was pleasantly greeted by JT and he quickly found my information. He congratulated me on my new purchase and provided me a lot of information about the newer model. After answering all of my questions and concerns he said enter the red carpet and follow the music and that will be your car. The car's lights were flashing and the music was bumping! The car was spotless (as I would have expected) and the walk around inspection was perfect. He then guided me out of the service center and I was on my way. If Tesla have more staff like him, they should be rated 5 stars! That is the kind of experience I expect from them and they didn't let me down. read more

The "Service Advisors" would not qualify to be a Cashier at Walmart. Totally clueless and unprofessional. The Tesla car is great. The service sucks with a capital S. Elon would not be pleased with the idiots that represents his brand at this dealership service center. read more

The technician rode with me and took a video and said the issue was obvious and would be fixed (front shocks are bad with less than 10000 miles, bought new from Dallas in September). Car sat at the dealership until Thursday. I was told my car was ready to pick up and they claimed they couldn't replicate the issue. 2025 Model 3 RWD. Been a Tesla owner for a few days and already SO MUCH regret! We found the used car (2023) online through Tesla and the process before accepting the car was straightforward and uneventful. We are in Austin and the car was in Dallas; my daughter drove out to pick up the car and it was pretty simple. But once we got home, that's when the problems began. We are new to electric cars and just figured it was a simple and plugging into the wall. We have a new house and specifically had the builder put a NEMA 14-50 outlet in the garage so we are all set up. However, after driving all the way back to Austin, we discovered the car comes with absolutely no way to charge the car. My daughter ordered a charger that was to be delivered to the house... but the charger they sold to her is a wall charger! And getting a Tesla certified installer isn't something you can just make happen in a day. So, we have an electric car, the proper outlet in the garage... and no way to charge the car! I found out there is a mobile connector and supposedly used to come with a car when you bought one... but apparently not anymore? But what seems completely negligent is NO ONE at this store bothered to talk to my daughter about charging, if she has ever had an electric car and if not, was she prepared to charge, have the equipment to charge, know what it takes, etc... Absolutely NOTHING! As a healthcare professional, if I treated a patient this way I would be sued for malpractice. It's unfathomable how they would sell an electric car and not even go other these basic things with the purchaser. We started this process almost two weeks ago and we could have started the installation of the wall charger and/or ordered a mobile connector to have ready when the car was ready. Why wouldn't they just ask? Seems like a VERY simply thing to ask... "have you ever had an electric car?" "Do you have charger cables?" "If you want a wall charger, do you know you need to get this installed by a certified installed and could start this process before you pickup the car?" But none of these were asked; so my daughter drove the car home and now it sits in the garage because we have no way of charging the car. Sure, we could drive somewhere and just sit while the car charges but what's the point in that? I'm shocked no one discussed anything with my daughter when she picked the car up. It just goes to show an absolute lack of concern for the customer and if you are planning to get a Tesla, go ANYWHERE but this place. read more

I had a flat tire replaced at the Tesla Service Center and requested a Wheel and Tire Inspection so I could add the $16/month Wheel and Tire Service Plan. It's been 96 hours, and I still can't subscribe. Both the FAQ and customer service said it would update within 24 hours--but it's now been four days. This is concerning. If Tesla can't handle something as simple as updating a user profile, it really raises questions about how disorganized the service center is. Major disappointment. read more

I have never experienced such horrible service... especially when buying a car. It's been well over a month and they have not given me plates or filed registration for my car. Because of this, my car loan through my credit union will become an unsecured loan. They do not respond and treat you like you're a bother when you then have to show up to speak with anyone. Beyond that, they sold me a car with two flat tires and the only thing they could say was that it was because of the temperature drop (it was 75° when I picked it up and 80° when they said the temperature dropped) and that I could try discount tire. I've been excited to finally get a Tesla, but am disappointed beyond words... it's been such a bad and confusing experience that I no longer want the car. read more

Progressively worse service during the 11+ years I've had the Model S. Had to book service weeks in advance. No loaner or Uber credits. Poor communication through the app. Only after a day when service was promised (after the due date had already been pushed back), the car was never touched, then I called and complained loudly did I get Uber credits and the car was serviced. We needed a simple fender fix after somebody backed into our Tesla. Alan at this location sent me this exact quote over email: "I am sorry to say you will have to find another shop to handle your repairs. We were busy which I stated and also delivered the estimate as promised. We have the right to not repair a vehicle and your will be one of them." We were treated like we were trying to return an item at a dollar store. If you buy a Tesla from here, at some point you may have to drive it around with duct tape on it because they cannot service their own cars. read more

Update: Absolutely horrible experience with my Tesla. I will never drive a Tesla again. Every time it has to go in the shop it is there for 2-3 MONTHS!! MONTHS!!! Might as well cancel insurance for a few months if it ever ends up in the shop. The worst of it all was turning back in my lease. It literally took over 8 months for Tesla to get the information to the bank that financed the lease to get them to stop harassing me about payments. This was when the lease was OVER!!! Tesla had messed up and charged me the entire term of the lease for parts they didn't actually install on the vehicle! When I told them (with photo and video evidence!) they denied it and said I was lying. Eventually they said they would waive the end of lease fee because it was close to the amount they owed me for the tow hitch I paid for that wasn't even installed (which I found out when I needed to tow something!!!). Took months and I was sure I was going to go to collections and get my credit dinged. Such. A. Headache. Never again. DO NOT GET A TESLA. SEXY AT FIRST, BUT HORRIBLE IN THE END!! read more

I have to give props to both Blake and Assan at the service center. My delivery was a bit of a cluster and there were some production issues with my car. The way Assan took care of every thing and set the right expectation was just incredible. I went back to get my rims upgraded and Blake was great to work with. I had some panels that were misaligned and rattling. Assan was gracious enough to get his lead technician out there and helped address every part. After a couple of dealings, I now have a better idea of how Tesla operates. You do need to use the app to make appointments, etc. While it can feel cumbersome, in the long run it's actually better because they are able to order the parts needed, line up a loaner and communicate with you directly. It was a learning curve at first, but they are on top of their game. read more

This shop has had my car since November of 2021. i waited 2 months to get my car over here. Issac only responds after 4pm, doesn't matter if you call at 8am, you won't get a response until after 4 pm. they had a dispute with the insurance company over $2,000 and refused to fix my car. the repairs totaled over 25k. they had all the money except $2000 and didn't start work on my car. Finally they decided that they could fix my car and that I should give them 27 day. Well guess what? My car still isn't finished. when I asked how much longer they said two more weeks. Tesla should take them off their repair shops. This shop is a joke!!!! I will be filing this report with tesla! read more

This place is very bad. I had a horrible experience in the delivery process. After paying over $110k for a Model S. All communication was only via text and they never read my text messages, they don't call back when I asked them. Sending messages like you still have to make payment, when in fact all payments were made. Takes over 45 minutes on hold every time you call only to talk to someone who says someone will contact you and no one does. Very insensitive people. So sad to have been through this experience. read more

I love the Tesla car and really like it as a product. It desperately needs revision and improvements with rattles and simple conveniences, but what really creates doubt in my mind for the long-term viability of this company as a whole is the experience of working with this maintenance/repair center. This company clearly has a widespread and severe leadership and culture problem within service. I'll just rapid-fire my complaints here, and you be the judge. 1. You CANNOT call this place. You have to call the main Tesla line, where they will do everything in their power to prevent talking to you unless you pretend to have a roadside emergency. Even the service center employees will teach you how to game their phone system menus to reach a real human. 2. The service center will contact you occasionally via text message, but you will never know the name of that person and they don't reply to your responses, so it's really more of a one-way conversation from them to you - this is very cold and off-putting. 3. They asked me to pick up the car because it was ready, but when I arrived there were engine-compartment parts all over in the trunk of my car, and the car was filthy. My service adviser was profusely apologetic for the miscommunication, and this was a wasted trip. Come on guys, this is not a new company any more. My small/independent shops are run much better than this. 4. Days later, they sent my car home to me un-repaired as they needed to order parts, and they have delayed installation of the repairs three times over the last 6 weeks to tell me "parts are delayed", but with no real ETA on when my issues will be resolved. I have no confidence that this issue will ever be resolved unless I drive back up there and start raising hell again. 5. While my car was in the shop, my point of contact would contact me using her personal cell because she knew about the phone/contact problems. While that was extremely helpful in facilitating personal communication about status updates, unfortunately she (and apparently several others) were "laid off", so I lost my point of contact and had no way to establish a new one. I ended up having to drive up there to determine status and next steps with my car. 6. Your car will be stored outside and will be returned to you dirtier than when you left it there, and they will refuse to wash it to "save water" (what do you think I'm going to do when I get it back??). I insisted that they wash it, so someone smeared the dirt around on the exterior with a rag. Thanks for that. Overall, dealing with this service center and with the Tesla company as a whole is a shockingly dreadful experience, and would certainly make me rethink buying another Tesla. Let's hope that Lexus gets in the EV game soon so we can go back go dealing with Sewell or some other reputable and competent companies. read more

Just a lot of fluff and fluffers. Painful trying to get your car serviced. I'd rather deal with my cable company. Would never and have never recommended anyone get a Tesla. They were first to market but they're going to get destroyed by real car companies that are entering the EV market. What service center for cars is open 9am to 5pm only and no weekends? Only a company that is desperately trying to stay afloat and understands nothing about customer service. It's been more than 2 months to get an appt to fix my car! They keep cancelling and rescheduling. One mobile service never even showed up, just texted that they did. Their cars are fast and that's it, everything else about them is crap... inside is cheap and uncomfortable, entertainment system doesnt sync with anything, the infrastructure sucks, forget it, Im not gonna waste anymore time talking about how terrible tesla is. read more

This is my worst service center experience of all. Tesla owner since 2015. I scheduled the service to get extra wheel and have alignment done. Along with that I wanted them to check the noise of wheel/tire when I drive the vehicle. It started giving weird sound and wanted to have them a look. The guy says since I only scheduled for new wheel and wheel alignment, he refused to take a look at the noise issue. I asked him to just test drive for 5 min around the service center and check. Even for that he refused to check saying they are too busy. Asks me to schedule appointment another day and time and come back. This is where the key difference with other companies. When I take a car to other car service centers usually other companies inspect and notify customer if any other problems exists. Like multi point inspection etc. Even a mom and pop oil change shops do that extra for customers. In this case the guy don't have even have 5 min to spend when a service work was done for almost $800. On top of it if I am not happy with the car, suggests to sell and buy new one. I fell like he doesn't care about existing customer. Have an attitude as they know that we can't take the other mainstream mechanics and no choice left. With this latest experience at that service center, I am done with Tesla.. read more

Two weeks after buying my model S, I got a flat tire. First flat in years! Grabbing the roadside assistance number from the handbook I ring Tesla's roadside assistance. Representative asks if it's ok to have the car towed to the Tesla shop to replace the tire. No problem, I'll Uber for a ride home. Then a few minutes later the Tesla Rep calls back saying they'll change out the tire with a spare at the location so I can keep the car that night. Nice! They'll be there in 1 hour.. ..30 minutes later I see flashing lights of the wrecker there to change the tire. Next day it was a quick trip to the shop to get a new tire and I was on my way. All throughout it was top notch service, friendly folks to work with, and - the best part - minimal effort on my part. Tesla Roadside Assistance 5 outta 5 stars. Then... Next day I see a nick on top of the driver's side fender as if a heavy wrench or pipe fell on it. I could not think of anywhere that this might have happened until later that day; the only time it was out of my sight was when it was at the Tesla Shop. I was hesitant about contacting the shop because bringing bad news is not a good feeling. Though the next day I send an email explaining if this nick might have happened at the shop. Robert responds insisting to take a look; I felt he really wanted to be sure I was a 100% taken care of. When I arrive I am greeted by Jimy, the service manager. He explains that if an accident happens his guys know to report it and would never get in trouble for it. (Excellent policy! We have the same at my business). Jimy acknowledges that the car was in the hands of a third party vendor, the wrecker. Without hesitation he sets up a time for me to bring the car in and have the dent removed. I bring in my car, they give me another Model S to drive. Come back and the nick/dent is completely gone. Perfect job! Tesla Service Center 5 outa 5 stars (Wish I could give them 6!) This is the best car I've driven and its from a company that knows how to take care of their customers. After experiences like this they've earned a customer for life. read more

The worst car buying experience of my life. From the financing transactions to the car itself, it has been an awful journey. The paint on my 2020 Model 3 has started to chip already..there is no real customer service to escalate your issues to. I have to continue to reset my screen as it completely grays out while driving it. I researched the way to reset it and it works, but just sucks that I have to reset (reboot) like I have windows 95 installed on it. Don't get me wrong, the car is beautiful and has been a dream of mine for many years now, but after this purchase, it will be my last Tesla I ever own. I am waiting on someone else to come out with a an EV that will meet my needs and I will be trading this car in. Additionally, Tesla recently conducted an audit and found that my finance company had one purchase agreement and Tesla had another which resulted in a payment of $499 that was missing, two months after I bought the car and already had it. I did the ethical thing and paid what I owed, but how on earth can you deliver a car and provide a bill of sale that has paid in full and then two months later say you owe us $499? Do yourself a favor and do not buy a Tesla. You will see seams that do not align correctly on the car, the screen goes dark leaving you driving blind since that is the only way for you to use your car, the paint is a very poor quality and you have the worst customer service in the world. No one reaches back out after the deal is done leaving you to deal with the car issues yourself. If you don't believe me, research the paint issues, the screen issues and the endless issues with their seams around the windows and doors.... I really wanted to love Tesla and while I love my car, for $50K it's nowhere near where it needs to be. Which is the worst thing ever, pay that much money and expect luxury, but lacks serious quality, no customer service, and serious software issues that constantly come up. read more

Went to pick up my Tesla at this location and had a pretty bad experience. The person I was assisted by was professional and courteous, he quickly showed me to my "new" car. The car had scuffs, scratches, and dings. Also some of the shipping packaging was never even removed so you could tell they didn't even bother to detail it. Now I made this appointment to pick up the car a about a week in advance so there was plenty of time to make it look a bit more presentable. Chris quickly tried to get the service department to buff out scratches and fix blemishes, detail the car. Car comes back in better shape but still has a dent on the hood that he says would take $1500 to fix and repaint. They still attempt to get me to take the car. I decline it and now I'm thinking about backing out of the deal and just biting the $2500 bullet. Waste of a day and $100 in Uber rides. I would not recommend this place, or Tesla for that matter, to anyone at this point. read more

I picked up my new Model 3 at the Cedar Springs location. My car was ready when I arrived and fully detailed. I loved the showroom presentation of the car. Everyone there was super friendly and answered all of my questions. The whole process took about 15 minutes! I got my plates and registration sticker a few weeks later. If Texas law would allow direct sales, the process would have been even better. read more

I don't own a Tesla, BUT I did recently test drive one. Because of the crummy law passed in Texas lobbied by the auto dealers association, the Tesla people were not allowed to offer me a test drive. So, I was directed to a Tesla owner who was nice enough to give me a test drive. Early Tesla adopters are really passionate about electric cars (EV or electric vehicles) because they believe that they will save the world from global warming, save soldiers' lives from being lost in the mideast defending our oli interests, and save our cities from smog. However, I wasn't interested in all that. I was interested in, this question, "WHAT ARE ALL THE CAR DEALERS AFRAID OF?" Why did they feel they had to pass this law to prevent direct factory sales of Teslas to the public in Texas? I mean, GM manufactured 2.7 million cars last year, while Tesla manufactured only 20,000. What are they afraid of? Tesla is just a sardine compared to the GM whale. I had to see why the big manufacturers think that this tiny insignificant car company is a threat for myself. So, on with the test drive. I WAS BLOWN AWAY. If Marty McFly were to come back from the future with a car from the future, then this is IT. You cannot buy a car with this much future tech at ANY price from any other manufacturer. This car will give you whiplash when you step on the "gas" pedal. It goes from 0 to 60 in 4.2 seconds. In comparison, a 2014 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet goes from 0-60 mph in 4.8 seconds, but the Tesla Model S is a SEVEN passenger sedan, NOT a tiny sports car! It has magnetic brakes so your brake pads almost never wear out as you only need the conventional brakes to stop the car in the last couple feet of your stop. It uuses magnets that don't touch the wheel to brake so they don't wear out like conventional brakes. These magnets also recharge your batteries while you're braking. You also have a much faster and safer brake reaction time because the car AUTOMATICALLY brakes using the magnets when you lift your foot off the "gas" pedal. You don't waste time moving your foot to the brake pedal before the braking aciton starts. It is also incredibly safe, too. It got the highest grade of any car in crash tests and rollover tests EVER. There has NEVER been a fatality in a Tesla Model S. The car is built like a tank, but it is still as light as it can be as it is made of aluminum. It is very practical. It has 2 trunks, one in front and one in back. It seats 5 adults and 2 munchkins. It is cheap to maintain. There are no timing belts, no spark plugs, no oil changes, and nothing to maintain except for tires, window washer fluid, and brake pads (which will last almost forever due to the magnetic brakes). Electriciy is also incredibly cheap, too. Many places let you charge for free (many chargepoints and Superchargers) and you can sign up for special charging plans that will allow you to charge for $60 per year for unlimited recharges (evGo). Or you can recharge at home after signing up for the nights and weekends free plan (TXU), recharge at night for FREE. I did the math and if you were to drive a Tesla Model S for 20 years. this will break even with the cost of ownership of a Toyota Camry. My calculations include the price of a replacement battery, too. It is the future. There are no knobs, switches, nor buttons. The entire car is controlled with voice activiation and a huge touch screen. The dash instrumentation is another digital screen. Regular software updates to the car has actually made the car better than the specs quoted in the advertising. The car has no negatives. Well, it has a potential negative. Theoretically, since the car has GPS and a 3G internet connection, it is possible for big brother to shut off your car if you are being chased by the law. However, to my knowledge this has never happened to a Tesla driver. With all positives and only a potential (not actual) negative, the conclusion is clear.... The price tag is a little out of my price range (it's actually way out of my price range). I don't care about luxury cars or showing off. I've never cared much for cars and I am not a car person. I've never wanted any car but this is not a car, it is the future and it is your own personal time machine. I want one. read more

Tesla's service is beyond reproach--thorough explanations of the work done, and top-notch, quality repair work done right, the first time. They even perform any TSB's due, in addition to inspecting the vehicle at every visit, all without being asked. Overall, after two+ years with our Model S, I can strongly attest to the fact that Tesla Service is head and shoulders above anything we've ever experienced from other premium brands. Picked up my new Model X in Oct. 2019. All communication was on point, they answered the phone every time I called. The car was delivered earlier than what was given to me as a delivery date. The delivery person was patient and let me take my time to ask questions and went over everything he could about the car. I was there maybe 30min ish from start to end. I know they have had growing pains with the Model 3 ramp but you can tell they are working hard to improve. Kudos to Tesla and the team for a great experience! read more
