A&C Tailoring was amazing to work with. I am not local and was only going to be in town for a few…read morehours. They got my jeans hemmed, with the original hem, while I waited; it took maybe 15 minutes! And the hem job looks nice and clean. Great service and will definitely be using them in the future!

I'm extremely disappointed with my experience here. I paid over $300 including a rush fee and tip…read moreto have a dress tailored for an upcoming wedding, and after two weeks almost none of the requested alterations were completed correctly. I was very specific from the beginning that I needed the wiring removed from the cups of the dress. I also requested the slit be moved up and the bottom hem shortened. When I arrived to pick up the dress, only the hem had been done properly. I was then told the remaining fixes would "take 10 minutes." Thirty minutes later, they had only adjusted the slit and the wiring was STILL in the dress. At that point, I had already repeated the same request multiple times. When I calmly explained AGAIN that the wire needed to be removed, the woman working began talking over me and arguing with me instead of listening. I am now sitting here waiting even longer for alterations that should have been completed correctly the first time after they had my dress for two full weeks. For the amount of money charged, especially with a rush fee, the communication, attention to detail, and customer service have been incredibly frustrating. I would not recommend this business if you need reliable tailoring or time-sensitive work.

My daughter was getting married and my rehearsal dress needed an adjustment that I notice the day before we left to travel to her out of state destination . I ran into the store at 5:05pm (they close at 5) and explained my predicament. He was amazing, and said he would have it ready for me the next morning!!!! He did it! I wanted to cry. He was so damn decent. What an amazing human! We need more people like this in the World. KUDOS TO MODA ITALIA!!!! NO ONE DOES IT BETTER!

I had…read morechecked Yelp for the best professional service I could find before "trusting" anyone to tailor a new suit for an important interview. I needed the sleeves on the jacket shortened and the trouser length adjusted as well. I tried them on and Amin checked the length of both, placing one safety pin on one sleeve and one safety pin in the back hem of one pant leg. This was on Friday. My clothes were to be ready on Tuesday (they're closed on Mondays). I then left to purchase a pair of professional shoes to wear to this upcoming interview. When I got home I realized the heels on the shoes I used to try the pants on at the tailor were one inch higher than the shoes I purchased for the interview. Upon realizing this, I called Amin immediately and requested the pants be shortened one inch. He advised the pants had already been altered, but I should come in on Tuesday (as previously scheduled) and he would assess with the new shoes. He knew my interview was on Thursday, but said he would alter them on the spot while I waitedd if they needed changing. I asked if there would be an additional charge, and he said "no". When I arrived the next Tuesday and tried on the clothes with the new shoes, I found he had already shortened the pants to perfection! Moda Italia gives a 10% discount for seniors and another 10% discount for paying in cash. I do not trust easily and 95% of businesses today deserve this "no trust" reputation. HOWEVER, Moda Italia Tuxedo and Tailoring is not only professional but efficient and reasonably priced for the extraordinary work they provide. I guarantee and wholeheartedly endorse this company if you are anywhere near the Sparks region of Nevada. AND, they are easily accessible to major freeways (not inside a mall)! I live in Fernley, so this is not "just next door", but I definitely will use Moda Italia for all my tailoring needs.

I decided to try this business based on the positive Yelp reviews. While it's important to me to…read moresupport small businesses, I was also tired of the long wait times at the more well-known alteration shops. As others had mentioned, Teresa was easy to reach by text and very friendly. Her pricing was also reasonable ($15 for shortening pants, for reference). The turnaround time for taking in a pair of pants and taking in the sleeves of a dress was only 1 week. The location on Bible Way was a bit hard to find at first. Note that she is now in suite 40, not 22. Also, don't expect a fancy store front or anything of that sort. It's a small and barebones operation, but there's ample room for getting fitted and trying on your garments after the alterations. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was a minor mix up when I went to pick up my items. I showed up at the time she noted on my receipt but she was not there. However, we texted to arrange a different pick up time and that went smoothly. I'd suggest texting to confirm before heading down for pick up since she's not always at the shop. Overall, though, the quality is good for the price, and I'd happily use Salas Alterations again in the future.
