I sent her a few inspiration pictures, and when I went to pick out fabric, she already had narrowed down the samples for us, which streamlined the selection process. A few weeks later Aby let us know our bench was ready. It was exactly what I wanted, and the fabric had the perfect texture and color. I'm sure I could have bought a new bench for the price of the reupholstering, but I don't think I can find one that's custom made exactly as I want.

There was quite a bit of communication back-and-forth and it was all seamless. I paid 200 extra to have my seats picked up and returned because they're down in the San Jose area. It was well worth that extra cost as I'm in Solano County. I got my dining room chairs beautifully refinished by Lucia's upholstery.The quality was amazing. They also quoted me a couple weeks. All other places were saying 6 weeks or so. Super happy with my chairs and Lucia's. Give them a shot!

I am 81 years old and visually impaired from past cataract surgery. In November 2025, the owner sat in my living room and walked out with a $4,300 deposit check to reupholster a 20-year-old leather couch--an unjustifiable total quote of $8,600. For context, a comparable brand-new couch retails for under $2,000. I canceled the job within one week. Before the couch was ever picked up. Before a single material was ordered. Before one minute of labor was performed. They kept every single penny of my $4,300. I sued them in small claims court (Santa Clara County Case No. 26SC097661--a public record anyone can verify). In my sworn claim, filed months before trial, I explicitly stated I was never provided a written contract. Yet, at trial, the business conveniently produced a document containing a strict non-refundable clause that I had never laid eyes on. The signature resembled mine, but the only item I recall signing that day was my check. The judge strictly enforced their paperwork, meaning this business successfully and legally stripped an 80-year-old of $4,300 in exchange for absolutely zero work. Those are the documented facts. Look up the public record and draw your own conclusion. A final warning to families: If this owner is ever sitting in your mother or father's living room, do not let them sign a single document or write a check that day. My lesson in their business ethics cost me $4,300. Do not let your parents be next.

Uh-oh; updating my review because the upholstery did not hold up!…read more I had two mid-century chairs done about 4 years ago. The previous upholstery was done in the 70s. Despite some inconvenience (they don't pick-up for you), I trusted the good reviews, and the chairs initially looked great. Well over time the chairs have come apart at the seams! Stuffing is coming out, and the buttons have fallen off and been re-glued. The thing is the previous upholstery was worn where you would expect (the seat) and actually held up quite well for a few decades - these chairs are mostly sat in by guests and the fact that they are ripping at the seams (same places on BOTH chairs) means the issue is with the work, not the fabric. I did contact the business about this and have had no response at all. Don't give them your business.
