I shopped around about 5 dentists until I finally found THE PLACE. I love the clean office, love all the front office staff, love how they don't try to cross-sell, love their recommendations, love love! Dr. Lee and staff are courteous and take care of things without much hassle. My gums are sensitive and after the first teeth cleaning, I requested future cleanings be gentler, so they promptly got me a special hygienist and future cleanings were good! Invisalign process was fairly straight forward without any hassles. Each aligner (or "tray" as they call it) was adjusted just enough to move my teeth without causing too much pain. Much appreciated! I'm also thankful that the front office staff took the time to put up with my work place's HSA (Health Savings Account) overly nit-picky reimbursement process. I found out that I had some cavities that have been growing for YEARS. These deep cavities have been ignored for years due to their position which Dr. Chae said was challenging (top and bottom molars in the very back). These have been growing since I was in High School, and have been overlooked. I have always gotten X-rays and was even given a deep cleaning 2 years ago. There is no way the dentist didn't see these cavities. That why I say, THANK GOD FOR Dr. Chae! He shows you WITH PICTURES what is going on in your mouth. When he does the work for you he takes progress pictures and insures you that no cavities are left behind. His work is also close to art. Due to the nature of my deep cavities Dr. Chae had to essentially rebuild my tooth and he did a wonderful job. I also felt like he was being honest with me and truly cared about my oral health. In addition, I would like to add that his staff is incredibly kind. The 3 receptionists are polite and professional. The hygienists and assistants I have come into contact with are also very kind and helpful when answering questions. Lastly, I would like to say THIS GUY IS THE REAL DEAL. He has been recently published in Dental magazines MULTIPLE TIMES and he works with the USC dental program. He is a great dentist and I highly recommend him. I came to Dental Matrix seeking a permanent restoration after my endodontist completed a root canal…read moreretreatment through my existing crown. During the retreatment, the endodontist thoroughly cleaned and disinfected the root canal system using GentleWave technology before referring me back to my general dentist for the final restoration. Before my examination, I had scheduled a cleaning and evaluation of the temporary filling placed after my root canal retreatment. I was told the office would not perform the cleaning without taking new X-rays. I offered to provide the recent X-rays and CBCT scan from my endodontist, but I was told those were not sufficient because the office required its own imaging. As a result, I underwent both a full-mouth series of X-rays and a panoramic (360-degree) X-ray before any cleaning or treatment was performed. While my insurance ultimately covered the imaging, I left questioning why the extensive imaging from my endodontist, including a recent CBCT scan, was not sufficient for my cleaning and evaluation and why additional imaging was required before any treatment would be provided. During my visit, Dr. Quinn Yu recommended replacing the entire crown rather than simply restoring the access opening. Because this involved several thousand dollars in recommended treatment, I wanted to understand the clinical basis for that recommendation before proceeding. I asked whether she saw evidence of infection, recurrent decay, leakage, or another clinical reason requiring the crown to be replaced. The office acknowledged receiving my questions and told me the doctor would review them and get back to me. As of August 5, 2026, that never happened. When you're asking a patient to proceed with several thousand dollars in additional treatment, answering reasonable follow-up questions shouldn't require repeated emails that go unanswered. My appointment was on July 21, and despite multiple follow-up emails, I have still never received a response from Dr. Yu to any of my treatment questions. At the same time, I requested copies of my digital X-rays because I wanted a second opinion. I was initially told the office could provide my X-rays once they were paid by my insurance company. Later, when I formally requested my records, I was told there would be a $50 fee. I was not refusing to pay a reasonable fee. I simply asked what the $50 covered, whether there was a different fee for electronic copies of my digital X-rays, and how the amount was determined. Despite multiple written requests, no one ever answered those questions. The lack of communication became so frustrating that I decided to seek care elsewhere. I first arranged for my records to be sent to another dental office but ultimately changed providers because of the ongoing communication issues. I then had to submit another authorization for a different dentist before my records were finally transferred on August 4, 2026. My biggest disappointment wasn't the treatment recommendation itself. Dentists can have different opinions, and I respect that. What I cannot understand is recommending thousands of dollars in treatment while never answering reasonable questions about why it was being recommended. Patients deserve clear communication, timely responses, and transparency. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I cannot recommend this office based on the way my concerns and requests were handled.

Because of her, I floss everyday and have great results! I have since finished Candid aligners, received cavity fills, and a crown. Next up is a mouth guard since I grind my teeth in my sleep. I am happy with my smile and overall care, knowing my teeth are healthy. Dr. Yu is light in her touch and takes her time to educate me which I fully appreciate. Her care is never rushed and there is no pressure, I can take my time to decide and plan. I drive from an hour away and am happy to continue! Her staff is also welcoming and office has a calming atmosphere. When you're on the chair they have a little TV they situate in front of you and you can choose whatever you want on Netflix!
