The light fixture I had installed above my island was missing hard to find pieces. I went to Maple Ridge Lighting to see if they had the parts I needed. I spoke with an employee named Scott and he was EXTREMELY helpful. He didn't have the parts I needed right then but he took down my number and called me an hour later to let me know they had them waiting for me. Not only was he prompt and courteous but he also did not charge me for the replacement parts. I would recommend Maple Ridge Lighting to anyone and everyone. The bulb I had brought in for replacement couldn't be replaced for no apparent reason. Staff didn't really answer any questions as to why or where i could go. All of this being after they gave me the wrong one (I brought mine in and she didn't even check the bulbs male end) And had so return it. After several days they had called back with a website I could buy it off. Overall not that pleasant. Will be going elsewhere next time.

He requested some information and we discussed options for a repair visit. Before he arrived, I received a written estimate which I agreed to. It was very helpful to have the cost up front! Tyler was communicative, arriving promptly despite it being after hours. He evaluated the situation and solved it quickly. As a bonus, he offered to give us some information about what caused the problem and advice on how to prevent it from happening again. He clearly knows his stuff! As I feel their response to this review mischaracterizes their response to me, the following is the exact response I was given. Also note that it was not a phone conversation, it was a response in email. -- Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We are sorry to hear this happened. -- We definitely recommend that we hardwire your new device rather than use the receptacle location. -- Our warranty period has expired, for this work and you will be looking at our service call rate for our return. -- The charge will be $225 for the first hour followed by $120 each additional hour and roughly looking at $50 in material if we cannot reuse any of the wiring. -- Do you have the new device on site? I can schedule an electrician to come by tomorrow, Friday February 13th if that works for you. I requested to be reimbursed for the previous work, and while I didn't say as much, I would have accepted less even just a slight discount, or even full price if literally any attempt would have been made at support. I was told: -- We will not be reimbursing you for the work or the device. Our work was completed to code and inspected by the city. We hired Dan Wilcox to do the electrical work for our kitchen renovation in November 2022. I…read morebelieve he started the work on November 19th. We paid 80% ($2704.80) of the invoice after the first stage of the work was complete. Since then he has returned on two occasions to continue the work, however it remains incomplete and our kitchen pot light switches are wired incorrectly. When you flip the switch, some lights turn off and other lights turn on. Other lights flicker badly. He has crossed the circuits somewhere so that three different switches are controlling lights that should be controlled by only one switch, which leads them to turn lights on and off simultaneously. I'm concerned this is a fire hazard. Some of the pot lights are also not secure to the ceiling and are sagging down. He also was supposed to finish our above the stove vent so it vents to the outside. He has left it venting into our attic. I'm very concerned this is a fire hazard in our home and do not feel safe using our stove or kitchen lights with three kids at home. He said he would be here January 3rd to fix the mess of a job he did but never showed up and is now ignoring phone calls from both myself and our contractor. He will not return messages or texts, even though I can see he has read them. He has taken our money and abandoned the job. Also totally botched the work that he did complete.
