When we were finally with someone to place our order we discussed delivery (which is done by a freight trucking company not Ferguson) & was also told the best way to contact the sales person with any questions or problems was by email. Ok Great. We explained we lived in a condo in a gated community and they would have to come to our door....not leave it outside. We were told they probably would not un box it... might be a little difficult but expected. Had a couple questions before delivery never heard a word back. When we received our delivery, according to the truck company's policy they are not allowed to come in the building! What?! We were left with a 160 pound box on a wooden palette. You would think Ferguson would have mentioned this. What if it was a full size refrigerator? Oven? Luckily we had a furniture mover to put it on but it wasn't easy. We visited LV Cabinets World due to their high Yelp ratings, along with a couple of other cabinet makers. The owner of LV Cabinets World, Jarek Wrobel, was the main reason we selected his company. Jarek was highly professional but never pushy while frequently offering advice. He offered cabinets that were different than what other competitors pushed. We didn't want the same shaker cabs as most other companies were recommending. Our remodel was very stressful, but Jarek made it fun. We had a high level of confidence in him. Our cabinets were made sooner than originally promised. The workmanship was exceptional, and any issues were corrected immediately. Jarek did not demand full payment as soon as their work was done, like most other companies we dealt with did. Jarek's crew was fantastic. They were led by Jurek, who was a very hard worker and quite experienced. They always cleaned up after themselves and were very polite. She was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and patient. We discussed all of the necessary supplies we would need for tile work and placed the order. We were fully covered for the tiling jobs since our project manager only told us to order the tile. Turns out we needed all but the thin set. Our project manager neglected to tell us prior to ordering that we did not need the thin set but Alyssa assured me that anything that wasn't needed could be returned. I wasn't able to speak to the project manager until the following day and it turns out the thin set was not needed, so I was able to have the order adjusted prior to pick up by our project manager. Alyssa knows her stuff for sure! I asked her honest opinion on grout color choices and she led me in the right direction! We are very thankful for all of her help and guidance and expertise through this journey. When we return to the store for future purchases, we will remember Alyssa for sure. To cancel the thin set from the order prior to pick up, I called this afternoon and spoke with Aidan and Aidan was able to process the return before our pick up and issue a credit to our account. He'll set you up on a Saturday and make sure you leave with all the knowledge you need. They offer DIY classes which I think is an amazing idea. Because by now I've had the chance to live with the work A-1 has done for some time and I while was ecstatic with the job when it was finished, I'm honestly even happier with it now. Originally, I reached out to A-1 to do the countertops and backsplash of a kitchen renovation. As you can see in the pictures, the backsplash is a mosaic tile and that can be somewhat difficult to work with. But this was no problem at all for A-1. Their attention to detail on both the countertops and backsplash was superb and they turned out amazing. The backsplash is the highlight of the kitchen and everyone who sees it compliments it without fail. Meanwhile, the countertops are perfect, excellent quality, durable, and the perfect choice for the room. My experience with the kitchen tile and stone was so good, I came back to A-1 for a guest bathroom remodel. Again, as you can see from the pictures, this involved a lot of tile. It also involved removing a tub, a door, installing an entirely new sink, and reworking the entire shower. A-1 handled every facet of the job from the planning and install of the shower and all the tile, to bringing in the sub-contractors for the plumbing, drywall, and electrical. And just like those working for A-1, their subcontractors were all professional, highly skilled, and budget conscious. Everything in this bathroom was re-done, the floor, the walls, the toilet, the sink, And from the shampoo box that is now the centerpiece of the room, to framing out the new LED medicine cabinet, the marble tile has turned what was a dark, cramped guest bath into something that is now inviting, open, and a subtle highlight of my home. But best of all, it's functional. I know this because since these jobs were completed near the end of 2022, I have come back to A-1 once again to now remodel my entire master bath. And as that has been going on, I have been living out of this guest bathroom. To me, that's the real test. Not just how it looks in the pictures, but how it lives day to day. And the functionality, especially in such a small space, has really paid off. I cannot recommend A-1 highly enough. Issac has put together a great team and they are one of the unsung gems in town when it comes to all things stone and tile. From helping with the design, to making sure the materials are quality, to securing trustworthy subcontractors, to their attention to detail, I cannot recommend A-1 Design Stone highly enough. He was here every day of the project, either working with his crew or checking on their progress.
