Clearly they don't care about walk in customers even though they say walk ins are welcome so you are better off trying another place unless you are willing to book an appointment days in advance for an expensive art piece. Really disappointed in how unfriendly and unaccommodating the lady was considering I live a few blocks away, was with my newborn, and no one else was in the store (not sure what her role is if she can't even help a 30 minute max order and I was willing to spend whatever was quoted to me).

I was really looking for some cheapo framer to just slap this thing in a frame, because while I won't go to Michael's or A.C. Moore and buy a cheap made in china frame, I didn't want to spend all my fun-money for the month on getting this collage on the wall. But after an unsatisfactory investigation of South Street frame shops that appear to have closed long ago, I just said what the heck and ducked inside Trinity. Jason was tending the shop and we had a great conversation about Philly, the organization I work for, and art. He set me up to float the collage I brought in, and frame it with a simple black border. The price was actually really fair for the service & quality. I felt like my artwork mattered to them as much as it mattered to me, and that it was going to be framed with care, rather than in a hurry. So 3 weeks later I got a call and my work was done! I took it straight home and hung it up on the wall, and it has been busy making my fiance and I smile ever since.

More importantly, the person I dealt with took time, had patience, shared helpful information about the job and helped me choose a frame that looked good and complimented the painting's colors. My experience was fairly brief but satisfying (that's what she said). My husband and I were serviced within 20 minutes. This included consultation on framing and type of glass. The owner has a keen eye for what looks good. We had our own ideas in mind, but he made a few suggestions to enhance the matting colors and frame selection. We weren't the only customers in the store, but he was able to work with each group simultaneously, but not disruptively for either group. Not being in a rush, the estimated ready date of under three weeks from drop off sounded perfect. The frames was ready as scheduled. As others noted, the prices were market standard. Ultimately, my posters came out beautifully framed and I was able to support a local business. Picture perfect.

My original consultation was a fantastic experience, where I was guided through each decision of frame, mat, glass, etc with patience, expertise, and care. I was shown examples of what each choice would look like and there were a wide variety of options for frames. I left feeling like I made the perfect choices in consideration of my aesthetic, budget, and investment in this piece. It was considerably more money than if I had gone to IKEA but I also understood with the fine craftsmanship and expertise of the staff that the price was worth it. When I went to pick it up a few weeks later, it was exactly what I had hoped for. I was able to speak directly with the person who framed the work, who was different from my original consultation, and was thoroughly guided through their process. The piece looks beautiful and I would highly recommend this store for anyone looking to invest in personalized, beautifully crafted framing.
