DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON. I trusted SEV Laser with my skin, and I deeply regret it. The problems started long before the injury. At one appointment, I arrived and was told I was 40 minutes early, so I waited outside. After waiting the entire time, I came back inside approximately five minutes after a text that they were ready for me because I had to finish a work call, only to be turned away and forced to reschedule. That should have been my warning sign about how little they value their clients' time. After my first lower-leg laser treatment, I developed a significant rash and irritation that lasted for about a week. Before my second appointment, I showed the technician photos of the reaction and explained exactly what had happened. Rather than treating this as a serious concern, she left the room and returned claiming she had consulted with a nurse who supposedly determined it was a normal reaction. The problem? The nurse never even saw the photos because my phone never left the room. Despite my documented reaction, the technician proceeded with treatment and (as I later found out) INCREASED the laser intensity. Within hours, my legs were covered in painful hives and blisters. I could barely sleep. I could barely focus on work. My skin looked and felt like it had been burned. When I attempted to contact the salon, my calls went unanswered and were never returned. I ultimately had to show up in person because no one could be bothered to respond. Ironically, the technician who evaluated me afterward immediately acknowledged what never should have happened in the first place. She told me the previous technician likely should not have used that type of laser on my skin tone and should absolutely not have increased the settings after seeing evidence of my previous reaction. Let that sink in. I raised concerns. I brought photographic evidence. I showed up for my appointment. I trusted their expertise. And they proceeded anyway. When the manager finally became involved, there was no accountability, no urgency, and no meaningful solution. Instead of concern for the damage done to my skin, I was met with defensiveness and handed a bottle of cheap vitamin oil as though that somehow addressed the situation. I was told the matter would be "escalated to the medical team," yet I never received any meaningful follow-up. I later sought a second opinion from a dermatologist. The dermatologist confirmed that treatment should never have proceeded under these circumstances, particularly not at an increased intensity. I was also informed that I may be left with permanent hyperpigmentation and scarring. In addition she advised me: NEVER RETURN TO THAT PLACE. Read that again: I sought laser hair removal and may now be left with permanent skin damage. What is most alarming is not that a reaction occurred. Any cosmetic procedure carries risks. What is unacceptable is that clear warning signs were ignored, treatment was escalated despite evidence of a prior reaction, my concerns were dismissed, and nobody seemed interested in taking responsibility once the damage was done. I have requested a refund and reported this provider. If you value your skin, your health, your safety, and your peace of mind, DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON. There are countless laser providers in Atlanta. Choose one that listens to patients, follows proper safety protocols, and takes responsibility when something goes wrong. I was a client of Ideal Image and had no idea they closed or that SEV Laser took over--no one informed me, which caused a lot of confusion. I like the location and the staff--they were friendly--but I don't want to change where I go. What I do not like are the hidden fees. I was promised 10 free units of Botox and a free lip flip, yet I only use eight units at a time and was still charged over $200. $200 for eight units of Botox is outrageous. My $120 gift card worth 150, disappeared, and I had to pay an extra $54. I never received what I was promised. I need to be charged upfront for things--this is crazy. Friendly service doesn't fix hidden fees, broken promises, or disappearing money. With a free Botox and free lip flip, I shouldn't have been charged anything at all. Where did my $200 go? read more

There are a lot of options for laser hair removal, go somewhere else. I have been to SEV laser a handful of times. I have been getting laser hair removal for years and so I only need to go for touch ups 1-2x a year. I kept going to SEV because they have a great deal for full body laser ($600 -$700), which gets you about 70 minutes of laser time. Normally the service is average and I'm never been super impressed. But again, the pricing is so good. But this last time was absolutely EGREGIOUS. The laser professional (gosh I wish I would have caught her name!) only spent 40 minutes doing a full body laser appointment and then claimed to be done. (FWIW 40 minutes isn't really even enough to do full legs....). If she had just put in a good faith effort, I'd probably still keep going back for the average service, but I just can't after that. They apparently took over my contract with Ideal Image in the acquisition. I don't live in the area anymore so I wanted to go to the ideal image near me. They won't let me. Even though I could have gone to my local ideal image before the acquisition, but they won't release my profile. They told me I can visit them when I travel to Atlanta which is laughable because I live in Maryland now. Ideal Image business practices were sketchy and I had issues with them. It looks like Sev will be the same. I would not trust them to do business based on "transparency and trust" as they claim. I wouldn't give them my business. read more

ABSOLUTELY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Let me fist say this has been my experience even before the service. I originally visited Ideal Image, but apparently they closed and were bought by SEV, so I received a message...not a call...that 1. My appointment time was being changed to 1:00 and that they were now taking II clients. I arrived at the original II Buckhead location to find that they were closed. i called and apparently they'd sent me a text message the day before with the change of address. I FINALLY was able to get someone on the phone. The young lady kept referring to the text message until I asked her to stop. I drove to the correct location but they were closed for lunch. I LITERALLY was walking behind the lady and she went on in and walked to the back...even when I knocked she ignored. Another employ came in with food. I asked her if I could find out about the appointment I'd just been told was available and she said, "My manager said you can come back at 2:20 when we open to see" and closed the door. Oh, they also charged me a no-show fee. They are very persistent with call when they want your money, but unavailable otherwise. I would definitely not recommend this place. She didn't map my underarms, she aggressively wiped my pits with alcohol which stung because I'd just shaved and she proceeded to zap my underarms a total of 3-4 times under each arm. This place isn't a vibe. I had a facial this morning and I'm not gonna lie I arrived 7 minutes late . I did call and tell the receptionist I was running late but she was extremely rude. A sweet lady named Ariel heard about my negative experience and called to apologize so I appreciate that. I felt the vibe in there was racist. I made an appointment at Sev for Laser Hair Removal in December 2021. I booked for January but ultimately was not able to come until February. Sev uses a text-based system to communicate with clients, so I was easily able to manage my appointment through that system. I arrived for my full bikini laser appointment and filled out some new client forms (about 6 pages) and waited to be seen. I went into room 1 after about 15 mins of waiting & the nurse tech explained the procedure because it was my first time. I changed into the sheet gown they give you and laid back. The manager came and spoke to my friend and I to talk to us all about Sev and was very detailed about the services they provide. We also spoke to one of the nurses, Molly, directly who ensured us that their laser is safe and harmless. I've had 4 sessions so far so still early to tell its effectiveness, but have already seen progress and appears to be moving in the right direction. My aesthetician is also an RN and she is great to work with! The place itself is clean and easily accessible (good free parking and also near a Marta station). Prices are competitive but not the lowest. However, I do worry about the wellness of their aestheticians as it appears SEV schedules these appointments back to back with no break in between. Also they tend to run 10-20 minutes behind which tells me they're not allocating the right time for the services. Churn and burn type of place. I can't imagine being in the same position and handling the machine for hours is great (not to mention the constant beeping). I do hope the team is compensated well and they get appropriate breaks/lunches (of course tipping helps but shouldn't be relied on customers to do so). read more
