She is also very sweet, making my time here an even better experience. I got partial highlights and a cut, and I could not be happier with how it turned out. The back was visibly uneven, the shape was inconsistent from one side to the other, and once I got home and was able to really look at it, I could see how poorly the cut had been executed. I paid $120 plus tip, so I expected a professional haircut and a much better result. I contacted my stylist, Michael, afterward and asked for a refund because I did not feel comfortable having him cut it again. I did not receive a response to my refund request. I'm attaching photos because they show the haircut better than I can describe it. I'm very disappointed both with the service and with how my concern was handled afterward.

Eight months with Jaclyn completely transformed my hair…read more I came in with thin, breaking, over processed, severely damaged hair. I'm post-partum, post-divorce, and in need of a serious glow-up to start feeling like myself again…read more It's finally becoming a hot topic to discuss what pregnancy does to the body, which is a nightmare in itself that I still can't bring myself to embrace, but one thing we still aren't talking enough about is HAIR. My beautiful, luscious wavy locks were completely transformed by two rapid-fire pregnancies. Now coarse, dry and with sections growing in grey, it's like I don't even recognize myself! Caught in the middle of a "season" of not being ready to date, but not wanting to avoid mirrors anymore, I called up Ministry Salon. Suspicious of both the friendly tone of the person on the other line, the easy availability to book an appointment, and the convenient location, I was pretty nervous walking into the first appointment. I've been burned before. Somewhere along the way, I've been programmed to think scarcity of availability for salons means they're better quality, since the appointments are seemingly more in demand. Thankfully, my nerves were quickly quelled. Emily was so kind, personable, and NORMAL. She didn't make me feel uncomfortable, the salon was welcoming and the color service? Phenomenal. There's a moment during a foil color treatment where you have no idea what you're going to look like in 10 minutes. Not a clue. It's a kind of stress and anxiety that's hard to explain unless you've already personally experienced the bowl rinse out after a color treatment. Wondering, have I just made a terrible mistake? This is my new spot. The foil came off, the rinse completed, and after the blow dry I looked in the mirror and couldn't believe it. I looked..like...myself! The self I remembered from before kids! It's been a month since the color treatment and it's growing out SO WELL that you'd never know what a disaster I was before the appointment. Thank you Emily!

(Bonus, next door to a great little coffee shop with fresh pastries and excellent espresso.) First, I booked myself with Rachel Galati, who is so skilled (and highly educated), creative, and also lovely to hang out & chat with during your appointment. She gives the BEST short, cool, alty hair and is a glorious old-Hollywood glam/gothic fae scissor wizard! Today I brought my 11 y/o daughter in when she decided it was time for a fresh new look - she just started middle school and made a decisive change. It could not be more flattering and was exactly what she wanted. Rachel was so excited to support this transformation and had great rapport with my kiddo. 12/10, no notes, highly recommend, and THANK YOU!

This review has nothing to do with the stylists, it's purely related to the manager. Yesterday I…read morewitnessed her shame two parents whose very young child was having a tough time OUTSIDE the salon as they were walking by. She told them they had to leave because her stylists had to feed their families and it was causing a disruption. What does that even mean? I can't imagine a person with an appointment walking by, seeing an upset 2yo, and then thinking "oh well, I better cancel my appointment because there is a kid crying outside." Parents deserve compassion and help, not shame when a kid is having a tough time. As they were trying to leave, she even went so far as to call security. It was insane. I hope anyone who is looking for a new salon chooses a place that supports and lifts up families, not who makes them feel unwelcome and like they're an inconvenience.

I…read morehad liked my previous experiences with her and had sent her new clients, but will no longer be recommending her after my last visit as I found her communication and business practices to be quite shoddy. I confirmed the price with her ahead of our appointment and once again during our consultation. I had also received a discount code from her that she said she would apply to the visit. Midway through our appointment while we were making small talk she abruptly informed me that she would be charging me more than what she herself had confirmed during the consultation. It came out of nowhere and was very disorienting. When I reminded her of the discount, she made something up on the spot about how the new higher price still reflected the discount. It was super shady and vague and I felt extremely uncomfortable. I could not leave because my head was wrapped in foil and bleach when she chose to announce this change. The color also did not come out the way we had discussed and she pretty much rushed me out of the chair while we were still within our appointment window and kept making passive aggressive jabs about how she had other clients coming in and how she should charge me even more. It's clear that she was disorganized and had not planned her schedule well and was taking that urgency out on her clients. I found the experience to be unprofessional and baffling and will not be returning.

I walked out with an uneven, unfinished haircut and was left shocked by how I was treated. No client should ever be humiliated for expressing concern about their own hair. The haircut left awful and uneven and The treatment was far worse !
