The donuts were very tasty and, honestly, unlike any donut I've had before. Only after enjoying them did I learn they were gluten free. The texture is dense and cake-like rather than light and fluffy, which was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. They are rich enough that we easily could have shared one. The Happy Bird uses turkey sausage, which is good for anyone who wants less red meat in their diet, and I liked the cheese a lot. One more difference between these and the ones back home is these are less rectangular, which I think is closer to the original recipe than the ones I'm used to having.
